Had a conflicted experience at Carolina Auto Repair. I was in the middle of a 6 hour drive and my check engine light came on and Carolina was the closest shop from where I stopped. The technician did a very quick job getting my airflow system fixed up and ready to go. I spent 500 dollars. Im giving three star rating however due to the fact that I had to return to the shop the next day (during my return 6 hour drive) to fix the same problem again that apparently wasnt picked up on the first time. During which I was told that it would be one price (50 dollars), which I would just have to pay for the part and not the labor since my car issue wasnt fixed the first time around for the same issue. What was frustrating is that regardless of that, they had started service without my confirmation. The second service was equally quick and the issue was eventually fixed, but the agreed upon price was changed after the fact adding in labor (equaling out to 100 dollars). All told I spent more money then I was originally told as a result of a confusion of information between the owners. I paid without argument, but it was incredibly frustrating to be told one price and then see 50 dollars added on later for no complication reason AFTER the work had been done. It was the labor, which I get. You have to pay your guys. The work was good and the people there are great, and I would have paid the bill I ended up paying because of those positive factors. But if you offer me one number and then change it, after already having to return multiple times for a single issue? Even after I had already paid 500 dollars? It feels very sketchy. Hopefully my experience wasnt the norm.

Never take your car here! Consider yourself warned. I complained on the BBB and he as of right now is telling them via email we havent done business together! This guy, Franklin Mishoe, is unprofessional and disrespectful. I live out of town and needed someone to trust to take my mothers car to. They diagnosed her van for a fee and charged us close to $400 for repairs. When my mother picked the vehicle up it was still running hot. She took it back and they charged us another diagnosis fee plus $800 more for what they say are more reasons why it runs hot. The air conditioner was not working the first or second time. I was last told that we need to spend an additional $300 for a radiator because that is Also a problem with it running hot and will need to be done before the problem is fixed. Now we want to pick the vehicle up and they want 4 days storage fees. @ of those days they were closed and the second day my mother went there and they were closed early! When i called Frank to tell him Im unhappy about their businees ways he hung up on me. We are now in the process of filing w the BBB in addition to taking them to Magistrate court if they do not do the right thing. There are many BBB accredited businesses in this area and I would urge you to pick one of those!!!

Gee wiz! A mechanic in town with no bad reviews! This is a great place to waste your time and money. If you have an issue with something that requires no mechanical skills or common sense this is the place for you. If you have mechanical issues and need a mechanic.. you will probably be better off taking your car to one of the 16 year olds at a jiffy lube. These guys wasted hundreds of dollars of mine in time and of course in money also. Worst mechanics Ive ever had the displeasure of meeting. This company walks the line of being a predatory business. 5 stars for finding ways to snake out of their mistakes and leave you with a bill. 5 stars for review filtering. All crooks smile when they are trying to take you. This place is a 5 star waste of money and time. You will need a 5 star attorney when you are done with these losers.

Beware!!! You might get a good deal as some people say they have or you might get cursed out!! I called and talked to a friendly man on the phone when I called to make an appointment. When I arrive to drop off my car, I am told there is no appointment and that the person who booked the appointment, Frank, does not know what he is doing. And no, they cant promise to work on my car today. When I tell him that I will take my car elsewhere he tells me not to come back. I wonder who p^%&ed in his cornflakes because this was 8am and not once did I raise my voice to him. I am glad that I did not spend any money at this establishment but good luck to you if you chose to do so.

These guys are AMAZING!! John and Milton were able to work on my 88 Mustang and get the old girl running again. We had so much trouble trying to figure out what was wrong with the car but eventually they found the problem and now my car runs better than it has in years! Also, after completing repairs we had to replace the battery and John sent someone out to my house to give me a jump so I could get back to the shop to get the battery replaced. I am so thrilled to have found these guys and I will use them from now on and recommend them to everyone I know.

Im telling anyone that will listen this is the best automotive shop in the state, they towed my car from Augusta, fixed and delivered back to me, unbelievable service, I called a couple of shops the next day and got estimates to see if they charged me for bringing the car to me and how comparable there prices were. One shop was $84 higher, the other shop was $112 higher. guess what Carolina you have my business from now on. Good for you for looking out for customers the way you do. Carolina Auto Repair is the BEST Auto Repair shop I have ever experienced! Frank and his team work above and beyond to get any job completed. No matter how small or big the job, I was satisfied! I have gone to this establishment for a restoration on a 75 Impala and to get standard work done on all my vehicles. I know I am going to get the most fair price and top notch service. I would recommend Carolina Auto to anyone that is looking for a wonderful and professional experience for their vehicle needs!!!

Our problems were similar to a cpl other customers. They misdiagnosed and fixed things that didnt needs be fixed. They just go in repairing things and charging you for them until they get you out the door with your money. They even went so far as to write a bad review for our family business after we posted our dealings with them on their Facebook page. We have never done business with them with our family business. Very childish and immature for a fiftysomething-year-old man to do.

I give Carolina Auto Repair 5 Stars! They have mechanics that I put all trust in. I had them do work on my 2002 Ford Explorer. The C/V Axles were bad, after taking it to 2 other places they either wanted to over charge me or not do it at all. I came to Carolina Auto Repair and they were the most friendliness and reasonable. They did the job the same day. I have since sold my Explorer and bought a new 2016 VW Jetta. Id rather bring my car here instead of the dealership.
