AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I will start with the dreaded "if I could give zero starts I would" statement. I went into the dealership to look at a used LR4. It had just been brought in and hadnt been detailed or inspected. I test drove regardless. I committed to purchasing the vehicle as long as the inspection came back clear. Full asking. Cash. This is where I take fault and will NEVER purchase a vehicle in this manner again. I was stupid to trust that a dealership would actually take care of their clients instead of just "make the sale" mentality. A couple of items came back on the report which were supposedly fixed. I came (excited) to pick up the vehicle - the gas door is broken before pulling out of the dealership. I have to schedule repair. Within the first 24 hours - key wasnt responding and was told I would have to go to a Land Rover dealership to have looked at. Within the first 30 days - entertainment screen went out and the door handle "cap" that was supposed to be fixed via the service inspection starts falling off. THE REAL DOOZY: brake pad worn notification comes on. I take the car TO MACOMB (not troy as they DO NOT service Land Rover - they should have told me that before selling the vehicle) to have it looked at. Here is my email to my sales person which hopefully sums up as best as possible: "someone did a "slap pad" job which caused the brake sensor and some other things to be damaged. The service technician at Land Rover explained this all to me and at first stating it would have been found in an inspection by the dealership - until I told him it was THEIR dealership (Land Rover Lakeside + Jaguar of Troy). Then his tune changed. So good news is you guys have loyal people. Bad news I am NOT happy and it seems like the "thorough" inspection thats been done was not so. (especially since they didnt find the broken gas door and one of the screens stopped working within a month as well and it already needs an alignment and also missing remote and headphones and faulty door handle cap)." If you plan on spending 35-40K on a vehicle CASH or NOT do NOT give them your business. I was really hoping to have a better experience.

I dont know if all service centers at dealerships attempt to gouge their customers, but I can tell you the service center at this dealership has tried to rip me off on a number of occasions. I have tried to go in there for there to service relatively simple things on my vehicle, such as a battery change, only to be pressured into paying for some unnecessary repairs. For instance, when they tried to change my battery, the service rep actually claimed that the engine was flooded and it would be $1200 to repair, along with the $300 needed for the battery. When I blatantly refused to pay this, they simply changed the battery and the car started right up without any issues. UNBELIEVABLE! Had I not refused, they would have walked away with my $1200!!!! I have even gone in there to replace a tire, and they told me that they couldnt get the nuts off the tire so it would be an extra $260!!! When I refused, I went to the local tire place and they got the nuts right off without hesitation. The problem with owning a Jaguar in the Detroit area is that all the Jaguar dealerships in the area are owned by one company, ELDER AUTOMOTIVE. Therefore, you can expect to pay a premium price for any service you need, since they have monopolized the market. If you dont have an issue with this, by all means, buy the car.

My wife and I were in the market for a used Jag. The first car we looked at - a 2001 XK was beautiful but not quite what we were looking for. Mike Hinkley, our salesman was very helpful and courteous through the entire process. A couple of weeks later, we saw a 2012 XF that we liked but it was in Novi. Mike arranged to have the car brought to the Troy Dealership so that we could test drive the car. When we arrived, the car was spotless and more importantly drove great. We loved the car and decided to buy it. Mike and the Finance team explained the Certified Used Program and warranty, and arranged a great loan for the car; simply put they made the entire process easy and stress free. Weve now had the car for 3 weeks and really enjoy the car and the compliments that go with it. We had a small maintenance issue come up and Dan and the service team took care of it right away – under warranty – and even provided a loaner car when it took an extra day to fix. Mike and the team have been true to their word throughout. We look forward to having this 2012 XF for many years. Wed definitely come back to Mike and Jaguar of Troy for our next Jag, and would be happy to recommend them to you. A happy customer.

I recently purchased a pre-owned XJL from Jaguar of Troy, and Mike Hinkley was my salesman. Mikes product knowledge was very helpful for a guy such as myself who didnt know much about Jaguar. He asked me the right questions to determine the right product for me. Even with shopping at other Jaguar dealerships, I felt that Jaguar of Troy was the right place to be since they did have the most pre-owned selection of cars. As Mike was on his day off, he still insured that I was being taking care of for the day of the car delivery. The whole team was very helpful and kind including: the finance manager Will, The General Sales Manager Brian, and James who took the time of his day to get me familiar with the car and answer any questions that I had. The great service from this place continues after the sale as Mike followed up me for some services I am getting done on the car, and insuring a Loaner when I get there. Jaguar of Troy, Thank you for great service, you have earned a new client and a raving fan. Looking forward to getting my wife the new F-PACE in the near future. J.S

I have to say most people who write reviews are angry people who have claimed to have something bad happen to them at local places or what not. But Ive decided to actually take the time to write about how wonderful my car buying experience and service experience is and will always be with the Detroit Jaguar Dealers. (Elder Auto Group). Ive had 4 Jaguars now and have recently purchase a brand new XJ. The last 2 Jaguar Ive had have also been the XJ models and not much has been wrong with either. But, when there was or seemed to be I took them to Jaguar of Troy. They always seemed to say and do the right things whether it was getting me into a great rental Jaguar if my car would take longer than anticipated or by just simple stating the problem and how they were going to fix it. Amazing job all the way around. Great Store Great People!!!!!!

I own a 2003 BMW 745I and have a BMW service center less than 5 minutes from my house. As most people know, a BMW is not cheap to service. This is mainly because of the rediculous labor costs impossed by BMW dealerships as well as inflated costs of replacement parts or equipment. After learning through a friend about the great service at Jaguar of Troy I decided to bring my car there for routine maintenance (much farther away by the way). That was about three years ago and I have been a repeat customer ever since. Not only is it FAR cheaper but the quality of work is superior to that of ANY BMW dealership my car has been through. I would recommend this service center to anyone that wants to keep their high end vehicle in optimal condition. Ask for Joe R. He will treat you right!
