Had an extremely poor experience today. Arrived at 4:15 pm for a gel manicure. The initial wait was approximately 5-10 minutes after which I was seated and started the process to remove my previous gel polish. The foil wraps were put on shoddily and kept falling off while I waited for over 45 minutes for my nail tech to come back from doing another service for someone else. I was told by someone else she would be right back after waiting for 25 minutes. She didnt come back for another 20 minutes. Someone else finally came and started removing the wraps and polish. This woman asked if I wanted to cut my nail length to which I emphatically told her I did not. Ive been growing them out for a few months now. She started to get the Dremel tool out to sand off the remnants of the polish I had on. I stopped her as I absolutely did not want my nail beds heavily sanded into. I told her I wanted to keep my nails shape that I had (square oval). Then she took a very rough emory board and started filing my nails down. Again, I had to stop her mid work as she ended up taking about half my length off. I was very upset and told her to stop as she was ruining my nails. She told me she "had to." An argument then ensued over my term "square oval." I told her she had taken way too much of my nail off. She said do you want square or oval....I told her square oval. She said its either square or oval. Unless you want "squoval." I was unfamiliar with this term. However, I assumed it to mean exactly what I was talking about..square oval. I told her as much and she said theres no square oval...just square, oval or squoval. I was so upset I just had her stop and then the original nail tech came back after doing someones eyelashes. She barely clipped my cuticles and tried filing some more before finally finishing the gel polish. I had to keep telling her to get spots on the sides she missed. She told me I had a good eye and she couldnt see those very well. (?!) I handed her my card and told her that was to pay and I needed to include a tip on there. She handed me back my card and charged me $40 for my $30 manicure and I asked wasnt it only $30? She said, "OH, I thought you said a $10 tip. There is no tip line so you have to specify how much he you want to have added. After leaving I took a good look at my nails overall. They are not even from hand to hand and do not match up. Most are half the length I went in with after vehemently expressing that I did not want them cut or made shorter. Shaping only. I called them right after leaving to express my displeasure. I was told by the woman "Well, they will grow back." After much complaint and prodding I was told I could have $5 off my next service. I will NEVER go back and I have never been treated more rudely or unprofessionally while having a personal service done. The only positive note being that I was offered eyebrow waxing and eyelash extension services. However, never would I have either service performed when I couldnt even get my manicure performed correctly. Side note: total time to complete manicure was 1hour and 45 minutes. I would rate this lower than one star if possible.

My experience here was TERRIBLE. I came here about a month ago to get my eyebrows waxed and about 10-15 employees were sitting around doing nothing, some eating, and i waited for 20-30 minutes. THEN, I came in today. They were decently busy so Ill give that to them. However, they told me it would be a 30 minute wait, but I waited for an hour. They kept asking me nails or toes? I told them nails at LEAST three times. Then when someone came to take me to get my nails done, he couldnt do fake nails so I had to wait another 15 minutes. I wouldnt be writing this if this is all that happened, but then when I asked how much it would be they told me $30. I even wrote what I wanted on the sign in sheet. Then she continued to do my nails and even though I showed them the color I wanted (452) three times, they couldnt find it when it came to the time to paint my nails. So I picked another color, and they also didnt have that one. By this point I am irritated. Then when we were finished she told me $45..... BEFORE WE STARTED SHE SAID $30. AND I TOLD HER WHAT I WANTED. EXACTLY. I asked why and she said she added and extra $5 for the shape, another $5 for the matte (i get that but itd be nice to know in advance) and another $5 for gel (which I told them I wanted in the first place). I asked then if I could get a discount because they didnt tell me that, my wait was much longer than they had said, and because they didnt have either of the colors I wanted and she just laughed and said no. I will never go back to Impress and I wouldnt wish this service upon my worst enemy--and yes I did even tip her the correct amount... only because I am a good samaritan. :) Please do yourself a favor and do not go here!!!!!!

Have gone to this place for years was,always happy with my pedicure and always recommend this place to friends. but last trip in my girlfriend and I had the same service done her bill was $10 less. Our pedis were done side by side and started at the same time. We both requested the Spa pedi/gel/design. The water wasnt even luke warm My pedi had no foot massage and it was done within 15 minutes from start to finish. I waited in the chair for my friend to be done about 15 min more she had the full service completed. To top it off I watched the gal spray the tub that was used for me with water and use the same towel she used to do my services with to wipe out the tub with no disinfectant and fill it up for another customer. This gal is not a new gal shes been with the shop since it opened. I did try to say something to her but was ignored. The shop was full and I was not going to make a scene. Basically I was in total shock. Like I said Ive gone to this place for years and have always had s great experience ive never seen this happen to anyone Ive watched how they made sure the tubs were properly cleaned out. I do hope management does see this and makes the necessary adjustments to correct this as I know this is not the norm. Hoping to be that satisfied customer again.

my gel nails came out aright... they told me it would last for 3-4 weeks but after one week it started peeling from the end. it was horrible. kelp getting caught in my hair. My nieces acrylic nails came out horrible!!! it was thick, mostly in the middle, very bulky, the way they shaped her nails too were short and sharp. worst Ive ever seen. we went as a group of 9. we called ahead of time and resevered an appt. most ladies were not happy with their nails. I also got a pedi done and it was rushed once they finally got to me. before that i sat with my feet soaked by the time someone for to me my feet were so wrinkled. we wont be going back! was NOT IMPRESSED! This place should be called "Quick nails" for rushing through the job so quick. Its about quantity not quality here.
