This was hands-down the worst spa Ive been to. My friend bought the Groupon so all of us girls could enjoy a fun spa day together. Unfortunately, Sanctuary was unable to accommodate us and we had to split up our group into three. I ended up going by myself. While I waited for my massage in the spa, I sat and listened to a staff member talk with a gal about what she wanted done for her facial. I watched and listened to my massage therapist walk by me several times to get her room ready. The spa has hardwood floors and she had high heel boots on. LOUD! Definitely not what I would say was a relaxing time. The massage started late and ended early. My total massage time was 47 minutes. I paid for an hour massage. I asked for deep tissue and got a light massage. Typically, I go to Lifetime in Chanhassen for my massages. There is NO comparison! On to the Pedicure....Sanctuary is not set up for gel. I always get gel on my toenails. Guess what! They couldnt accommodate this either and it took forever to get my "old" gel off. When it was time to pick a color, the first 2 colors I asked for they were out of. After the third color pick, I finally scored! The bottom of my feet were never scrubbed. They were as dry/scaly leaving the place as they were going into the place. She never trimmed my cuticles. When she started applying the polish, I had to ask her if she needed to apply a base coat first. She replied, "Oh yeah...Sorry." Im almost 60 tall. The chairs dont go all the way back because of a wall so I felt cramped and not relaxed. Onto the Manicure......I had to ask her to trim my cuticles during my manicure and then I had to ask to have my nails cleaned underneath. She applied lotion to my hands and never asked me to wash my hands. When the manicure was completed I asked where the dryers were. Reply..."We dont have them." What?? What nail salon doesnt have dryers? After getting home, the polish actually started peeling off in chucks. I lost polish on three fingers in less than 3 hours so I ended up taking off the rest of the polish. This whole spa experience was a waste of 3.5 hours for me. There is no comparison to Spalon Montage and Life Spa at Lifetime. The place was freezing and I could not get warm. The gal that did my massage, pedicure and manicure was very, very inexperienced. I wouldnt mind a refund!! Ill use it to buy Aveda hair products!

This salon is very bad. Its the worst group of people put together trying to make their company work and yet they cant figure out whats wrong with them, they dont stop to ask themselves "hhmm why have we been losing all of these employees?" Dont ever work for this company, especially the Tonka Bay location. The manager got hired because the actual manager quit and she was the next best thing. I cant believe they have a woman with this level of intellegence running a company. The other lady in charge, the "master stylist" is very bad company. She gets plessure out of making others feel less smart and scared of her. Its really sad because she never smiles and always is unhappy. They call people looking for new employees all the time because they cant keep any. What the salon needs to do before they try and hire new people is fix themselves first. Its not fair to their new employees getting caught up in that mess of a salon.

Worst spa service ever. They over-sold on living social and are now running around trying to figure out how to redeem all of them before they expire in December. Had to wait a month to get an appointment to surprise my wife, gave them the living social voucher code and added a $20 gratuity, they said I was all set. Day of the appointment my wife drives all the way there, and they turned her away at the door because she "needed to have the printed voucher". Rude staff and manager, just a phone call to me and I would have sent the voucher via email or anything to figure out a way to make it work. It seems as though they were all too eager to turn down the service because they had already been paid. So, no refund, no chance to another appointment with the month wait (not that wed ever go back). Ive been a customer there before and things were ok but after this experience there is no chance Id ever go back.

Ive been going to this salon for about 5 years now! I love the atmosphere, the employees there are all very friendly! They always make sure you got exactly what you came in for, I never leave without a smile on my face.
