Such a disappointing experience! The customer service is abhorrent and the front desk "manager" has a poor and snotty attitude and lacks any capacity to listen to a clients concerns. She acts accusatory and annoyed, and thats putting it nicely. Wayzata has a salon on practically every block of Lake Street, as well as several others throughout the city, and I highly recommend going to literally ANY other salon! Christine (again, the "manager" who as no authority to actually resolve any issues) told me she would escalate my disappointment and concerns to the salon manager and a week later I have yet to hear from the salon manager. What an extremely disappointing experience, especially considering that they are up against some very tough competition from several other talented stylists and well-managed salons within walking distance and you would think they would want to stand out with excellence. I wish I had read other reviews and spoken with my girlfriends who have since relayed their poor experiences with this salon (they had subpar nail services, mine was hair related). Spend your time and money at any other salon in Wayzata!!

Now this is what a salon experience should be like! I made a last minute appointment for a full foil because my hair needed some love for New Years Eve. When I arrived, the staff was immediately attentive and helpful. They took my coat, made me coffee and I then met my hair stylist Dorian. This is the best foil Ive ever had done! He was extremely thorough in spacing out the foils perfectly and explained what he was doing to achieve the color I wanted. After the foils were complete, he took the time to ensure my curls looked perfect too even though it had already been close to three hours. I left the salon feeling like a new woman, and booked my next appointment for a partial foil with Dorian. I highly recommend visiting the salon and if you are looking for a great hair stylist, book Dorian! Im also looking forward to trying out some of their other services in the future. The salon overall is clean and elegant, and definitely provides a relaxing/comfortable atmosphere!

From beginning to end, I had a great day at the salon! The day began with Dorian, who did a wonderful job of giving me the platinum blonde color I asked for. His attitude was positive, and he was focused on me during the color and cut, and style processes. I felt that he was truly interested in my satisfaction. When Dorian was finished with me, Deanna took good care of my nails and they look perfect. She listened closely to my request and made me feel very comfortable. She has many years of experience and was up-to-date with the current trends. Deanna demonstrated her knowledge throughout my appointment, as well as her professionalism. Youve gotta try this place...you wont be disappointed.

I purchased a Groupon for a facial and massage. Called the spa and easily made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon. The therapists were gentle and professional. Both the massage and facial were relaxing and I loved the entire experience. Ive received many massages before and Terri was quite possibly the best massage therapist Ive ever had. She even used hot stones for a few segments of the massage and it felt glorious. Terri is strong, confident and obviously very experienced. Jessica did my facial and gave me some skincare advice. I would highly recommend Wayzata Salon and Day Spa!

Absolute worse haircut of my life. I told the stylist to not take anything off of the length, just to take the weight out of the ends. Not only is my hair about 2 inches shorter, but the sides dont even match. One side is .5 an inch longer than the other. I even showed her a picture of what I wanted and the cut looks NOTHING like the picture. The back of my hair doesnt even make any sense. During the cut, my back was to the mirror the whole time. When she was done, she started asking ME what she should do because it looked so bad. I will never, ever go back here.

LOVE the new Wayzata Salon and Spa, the sister spa to Excelsior Nails and Day Spa. Chic and fabulous decor. Think: crystal chandeliers and grey/white color scheme on walls and furniture. I immediately sent a text to my girlfriends and said "We need to host our next Moms Night Out here!" (They have a private party room for manis and pedis.) Great location in Wayzata with easy parking. Jean has been doing my nails for almost four years now. I will bounce back and forth between Excelsior and Wayzata, depending on where she is at. She is simply the best!

This place is beautiful and very impressive from the inside! The crew is super nice and inviting. We had an appointment for girls relaxation day- full spa pedicure and manicure, wine and free nail polish! We had a great day. Katie and Kay were very professional, friendly and fast. The atmosphere is very pleasant and relaxing. Equipment is new and the staff keeps their tools clean and hygienic at all times (Which was super important to me). I highly recommend this place for your beauty needs. I can not wait to try their hair and massage services!

JEAN! JEAN! JEAN! The location was easy to find through Google Maps. The salon was nice and clean. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The other staff I came in contact with was also nice. If you are getting a Mani or Pedi, Jean is awesome! She is such a sweet woman and she took her time with my nails. I was really unsure about using regular polish or Gel. I used regular polish and didnt like it, she had no issues on applying Gel instead. She is all about making the guests happy, I loved her for that. Id def recommend her.

This place is selling SCAMS on Groupon! If they cant honor their vouchers, they shouldnt be selling them! Its illegal in MN not to honor the voucher if customer attempts to to use it within the expiration period and YOU cant do it. You are supposed to redeem the voucher at the appointment setting date and book for when the business has an opening. Otherwise Wayzata Salon & Day Spa is selling a FRAUDULENT PRODUCT! I have reported Wayzata SalonSpa to Groupon and the Attorney General of MN!

I bought a Groupon for a hair cut/deep conditioning. I was a little worried after attempting a to make an appointment, twice there was no answer (during business hours) and the third time they put me on hold for 15 minutes before the line bumped me off. However, the fourth time was the charm and my appointment was made. The staff was friendly and helpful and my hair cut was great. I saw Donna and she was very detail oriented and made sure I was getting just what I wanted.

The person at the front desk not only put me on hold and disconnected 3 times without apologizing, she is perpetually condescending and uses "sweetie" and "honey" every sentence. The massage was okay, but my masseuse was chattier than most hair dressers, and I had to actively work to end the conversation so I could try to relax and ignore the fact that I was mostly naked and being oiled by a stranger!

Kay microbladed my eyebrows the other day and the transformation is incredible! I have the eyebrows that I have always wanted. We havent even done the final touch ups and Im still in love! I did months of research on artists who microblade, Kay is definitely the best in town! Not only that, but the salon is stunning and the rest of the staff were sweet as well :) I highly recommend Wayzata Day Spa!
