Had a facial and Brazilian yesterday. Facial was quick and nothing special. HOWEVER, the Brazilian was by far the worst I have ever received. It hurt more than it ever has & Im not new to this service. She acted like she had somewhere else she had to be and rushed the whole thing. She would move skin, apply wax, and then let go to grab a strip which caused skin to adhere to skin. I honestly do not think she looked at what she was doing. I had an ice pack between my legs all evening. Once I was able to look at the work this morning (i.e. once the swelling had gone down & bleeding stopped) about 1/4 of the job was not done. To put it bluntly, there is still a sizable portion of hair left. I went back to the salon today to speak with a manager & was told by the receptionist that a manager will call me sometime this week. I asked if anyone wanted to look at things before I went & had things fixed and she was completely lost at this question. I then asked if she wanted me to write out my complaint & she informed me that was unnecessary since she would write it out later today when she had time. She never asked me specifics or what I had a complaint about. The receptionist also informed me that "if you never want to come back again for any service, I totally understand". I hope to hear from a manager soon & hope Im able to report something good.

I bought a Groupon which included both a mani and pedi. I called them prior to talk about upgrading from the gel manicure to their version of the acrylic nails and they told me itll be 30/per person. I took my maid of honor there with me and upon arrival, there seemed to be confusion around prices to the point where we were held in the lobby until they figured it out. It turned out that for the acrylic nails, it was going to be 50/per person which I found a bit ridiculous considering that the groupon was already 50 for a mani pedi which meant the pedicure in itself was going to be 50 per person. Secondly, during the manicure, the gentleman kept telling me to keep my nails in the machine when it was burning and hurting. And lastly, I got my nails done 4 days before my wedding and on my wedding, one of the nails chipped. I wasnt doing any heavy work or lifting or anything like that. The nails continued to come off and chip and they looked absolutely disgusting. I love Excelsior and will be living there but I was pretty disappointed with their level of service, lack of quality, and confusion there.

Welcome to Excelsior Nails and Day Spa. Where the "Spa" is full of MOLD. Thats right if you have asma or other breathing conditions DONT go to the "Spa" portion which is more like a grey Dungeon or a Glorafied basement!!!! In the Massage rooms and Estitition rooms those draping cloth is full of Ants and Spiders that fall on you during your service and we I should say I was told to descreetly remove the Bug from the client before they notice. Thats right I used to work there as a Massage Therapist my name was Joanna Kuntz...they fired me for having a Disability and stole wages from me. You want your nails done thats fine except some technitions are a bit Ruff. Go see Dieanna you wont be sorry. She does a Fabulous job! STAY AWAY FROM GETTING A PEDICURE!!!! Unless you want Beautiful nails with a Big side of Fungus and Infection...they ONLY properly clean the Pedi Tubs at the beginning of the day. So yeah....Welcome to Excelsior Nails and Day Spa "ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK" ...P.S. Tell Kay the Manager/Owner you have a complaint and she will give you your money back and offer you a Free service

I went here for both a facial and a massage. Both were exquisite. It was my first time getting a massage so I cannot speak to the techniques used but I can say that my message therapist was very kind and very professional. Due to my surprise period that morning I walked into the message room jittery and unable to sit sit but left feeling completely relaxed. My facial was done by a young woman (likely right out of school) but despite her being green I had a great facial. She was very honest about the products, gave me loads of samples to try, and went beyond what the facial usually consisted of without charging me extra simply because she thought my skin would benefit from it. Of course you should be forewarned that this is a place of business and they will try to sell you items (like all spas/salons). My massage therapist was as good of a saleswoman as she was at massage and I ended up buying a product and booking a second appointment at the end. Overall I am very pleased with my visits so far.

Ive come to this place for "group nail" outings before and the staff is always professional and nice. I got a nail manicure and regular pedicure last weekend and the gel nail polish has already drastically chipped so much so I have to get another manicure tomorrow. Im not sure if its the type of polish they use but its extremely upsetting that my gel manicure didnt last 7 days. Additionally, my heals were extremely dry and looked cracked after my pedicure. When I got home from getting my nails done I massaged my feet with a little foot cream and it made a huge difference. Im traveling this weekend so unfortunately, I wasnt able to go to the salon in person to show them my nails but the person on the phone said there was nothing they could do about it. This is not the type of service or response once expects when paying over $70 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure.

My daughter and I went to the salon on a Groupon for a mani/pedi. We were escorted to a small room to jyst sit while we were waiting. We were glad we could talk to each other rather than jyst sit by ourselves if we came in separately. Beyond the amount we paid for Groupon, we were constantly encouraged to do extras...that came to $75 beyond the Groupon price...ouch! The employees who worked on our feet and nails would talk to each other in their language, a pet peeve of ours. There was no real conversation to us except to sell us more services. My daughter and I are bilingual but do not talk in front of people who dont understand. Perhaps, they werent talking about us - or were they? I tried this salon because it is closer to me. This experience does not compare to other places where we feel special.

The space has all the modern amenities desired, gorgeous decor, relaxing environment that matches the warm, friendly staff built by Monson Construction. The location is ideal for a day of relaxing, shopping, good food and a beautiful surrounding on Lake Minnetonka. I would highly recommend this spa to friends and family. They have fantastic specials during the week. I personally love the express manicures (a $15 service) and on Tuesdays they offer free gel nail polish (lasts up to 2 weeks). So I get an awesome manicure with gel polish for $15. bucks! Its the "real deal"-no kidding. My perferred manicurist is TONY. He rocks nails and is a perfectionist. My nails look beautiful in 45 minutes after visiting Tony. Check it out, you wont be dissappointed! Enjoy.
