After brining our car in to have the transmission looked at and fixed a week after having it home we realized there was something very wrong with the brand new wheel bearing assembly we had put on prior to having our car looked at. The threads on the CV shaft were cross threaded due to someone not taking their time to put it on correctly. The car shook violently going down the road taking turns and made an awful grinding more so than I have ever experienced with a failing bearing. When we took it back we were assured it was fine and no fault of theirs but they replaced the bearing at no cost. This caused our other bearing, which was also slowly on its way out, to fail shortly afterwards. Just last week we found our transmission leaking heavily again and upon taking it to another shop, because we dont trust the work at this one we were informed that the connectors on a transmission line were fastened too tightly causing it to fail and needs replacement. When we spend $700+ to have our transmission fixed we shouldnt have to spend $150 6 months later to have another shop fix something so easily avoided if someone in their shop was paying attention. We were then accused of messing with their work after the fact causing this problem, but we clearly wouldnt mess with anything that we spent hundreds on to get right the first time. Im only giving this place 2 stars because the owner seems like a decent guy, but theres someone in his shop that doesnt care to do it correctly the first time and with cars you just cant cut corners if you expect to keep a customer. We drove down 30 minutes to go to this shop because we had heard good things but now we are very disappointed and will not return. Hopefully nothing else goes wrong with our car that could be attributed to this experience.

Very happy to get my car fixed. Ive been in 2 shops before I got here. I had transmission problem but not related to mechanical side I known it was something with electric. In first place been told need transmission replaced and other than that they cant figure out whats wrong. My second place been Paramount Auto service in Ramsey on hwy 10 and ramsey blvd. Will never ever go there and recommend everybody stay away from that place. Had my car there for over 3 months, never got answer whats going on and they towed my car to impound yard. I had to take them to court and won it so waiting for reimbursement of what I paid towing company. I found AAMCO in anoka by Internet and was little worried about couple bad reviews here. But ones I got here I was surprised how much care theyre about their customers. I got my car 3 weeks later running excellent and did couple things extra with no charges. I had very complicated problems but they did it. Happy with prices and had my old parts in my car as I requested. Highly recommended shop. Special thanks to Rich.

I will NEVER, EVER, bring a vehicle here again. My vehicles transmission started acting up so I brought it to AAMCO in Anoka. After a 30 minute diagnosis, they assured me that the transmission was shot, and needed a complete rebuild which would cost between $1000 and $2500. I declined the rebuild and decided to sell the vehicle "as is." I sold the vehicle a couple of days ago and asked the buyer to let me know what was officially wrong with it when he found out. He emailed me today and told me that all it was was the transmission filter had fallen out of its holder, and because of that, the transmission pump couldnt suck fluid. All that was required to fix it was a new filter and fluid flush... Thank you AAMCO for costing me a vehicle...!!! You would think a shop that specializes in transmission could have figured that out....!!! I will NEVER, and would recommend that you NEVER bring your vehicle to a shop that cant figure out the basics of their "speciality."
