Terrible!!! I brought my SUV in for two new tires. I had had two tires replaced fewer than 4000 miles before this adventure. They told me that since it is all wheel drive I must have all four tires replaced at the same time. (Which is true if the tread on the two used tires measures too far off the tread of the new tires.) And of course, they found the measurements to be too far off. This was a bit of a bummer since I had spent $400 on the tires a few months ago and now had to throw them out. Then they told me that there was a possible leak in the axle shaft seal and to be safe I should have them remove and inspect it. (And by the way, theyll take you into the shop to look at the area of concern for yourself.) I was planning a trip the following weekend that was about 600 miles round trip and they told me that they wouldnt recommend driving my vehicle that distance in its current shape. Feeling quite frustrated I took my vehicle to the dealership to get a second opinion. I told them the story and within minutes they took my vehicle in to check things out. There was NO LEAKING (they didnt need to take anything apart to figure that out) and the tire measurements were within the proper limits. By getting a second opinion I spent approximately $400 on two new tires instead of $800 on four new tires and $330 on an issue that didnt exist! Firestone is either full of deceitful or incapable staff. Either way, not worth the price.

I forgot the managers name, but at the Coon Rapids location he provides consistent great customer service every time that I come in to get my car fixed. Even took me into the shop and showed (and explained) what was wrong with the engine and did it in layman terms (so that I could understand it). What I also like, is that the mechanics here are (I feel like) a lot more experienced, and know what they are doing. I have been coming here to get my oil changes and when my check engine light comes on. I took my car to another place (pepboys) and was given a diagnostic that was completely wrong (they "fixed" some other thing and the problem still persisted). Went to firestone, they found the real problem and the best part was that they got the repair done quickly. This is twice where I went somewhere else, their diagnostic was wrong and firestone turned it around and fixed the problem entirely for me. The second best part is, that they give a warranty as well (I think it was 30 days). Anyway, I would recommend firestone. Great service. Honest workers that really know their stuff. They get their work done quickly as well. I wish I would have knew about firestone a lot earlier, I ended up coming here from their lifetime alignment plan they had a while ago.

UPDATE - August 2015: Place appears to have a new manager and my first experience with them was not good. Tried to convince me that I needed all new brakes for over $1000 when all that was ultimately wrong was a loose heat shield rattling around in rear of car and a backing plate on right rear brake - both fixed for $100. I know enough about cars to know when I do/dont need brakes and Im not even close front or rear. When I said no, "Jerry" kept dropping the price trying to get me to say yes. Dropped $150 in less than 30 seconds and finished by telling me he can come down more if I change my mind. Hopefully others have better experiences because I liked the place and they always treated me well, but I personally wont return. April 2015: Excellent service and honest people. Coon Rapids Firestone has done some routine maintenance work on two of my vehicles - a 20 year old Isuzu and a 9 year old F150 - and recently installed a starter in my Isuzu. Ive dealt with Joe and Karisa and found both of them to be friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Their prices are reasonable and they even offered discount specials that I wasnt aware of. My vehicles are all running strong and I will definitely do more business with them.

Also wish i could give this store a 0 star. Had a run in with the manager Arnold. Seemed not to care about anyone but himself. Over heard the lady before me ask about the neighborhood discount. He replied "never heard of such a thing, but would you like to open a Firestone Credit Card?" So this lady didnt want to purchase a replacement rim for her F 250. After he finished with her transaction, I asked her what year was her truck. She said it was a 2011. I politely told her that I had a take off set at my shop that if she was interested to call me and gave her my card. Arnold lost it and began reprimanding me as to how dare I come into his shop and conduct business. Remember this was after the customer has already said "NO." I asked him about my discount. He replied "not today youre not!" Long story short, I was a customer of Firestone for many years, and they would do my alignments as my shop is too small for an alignment rack. Unfortunately for Firestone, they have an unruly manager that has no thought for the local or long time customer. Not sayin, just sayin. NOT GOING TO SEE ME THERE AGAIN. Thanks Arnold!!

Firestone used to be my go-to for car repairs. They had always been quick, courteous, and affordable. However, after a change in management, everything seemed to go downhill. Service times became longer, and customer service as a whole shot to the ground. Plus, there seemed to be more attempts at making unnecessary repairs than before, as mentioned in comments from other users as well. My example is that they have replaced almost my entire fuel system, due to a blockage where I am unable to completely fill up my gas tank. They "tested" everything, replaced about $1000 worth of parts, and the issue is still there. Aside from that, the new GM was EXTREMELY rude to me, even turning service down to me once. Its pretty sad, honestly. Again, this was my go-to for any sort of car problem until Jerry took over. Maybe others wont have luck like mine with these guys, but unfortunately, I had to part ways and switch over to going to a local shop.

Came in for a scheduled appointment on Black Friday for a set of tires. I arrived about 45 minutes early, and they got me right in. 90 minutes later the job was complete. My only issue was with the free alignment check. I saw the van on the alignment rack with the alignment sensors installed over the hubcaps. The service writer came in and told me the van was out of alignment, and showed me a printout for a Dodge Grand Caravan. My van is a full-size Ford...how did the tech miss that? I pointed out that the sensors were installed over the hubcaps, which provides for an inaccurate reading, and the service writer simply assured me that their system is very accurate and that the tech knows what hes doing. I declined to pay for an alignment because I lacked faith in the ability of the tech. Overall I had a good experience, but they clearly need to provide better training to their techs.
