****UPDATE**** This place impressed me after bringing my car back in. They did an additional camshaft sensor repair and drove it around a lot to make sure it wouldnt stall again. AND THEY DIDN"T CHARGE ME AT ALL since I had to come back. And when I was there, no phone interruptions. Yippee. Only reasons Im not giving it 5 stars is because of the phone customer interruptions explained below and for not getting it back in one day the first time. As for the repair that didnt completely fix the problem, that can happen and they made it right. I drove it alot tonight and no stalling. In fact, when I first turned it on, the engine was so quiet I had to check to see if it was still on so something definitely has helped the rough start and loud idling. Ill definitely be back if something else goes wrong or for routine maintenance. *********************** Ill first say that Ill update this review later today after I get my car back for the second time. I brought it here based on good reviews and convenience as it is within walking distance of my house. Friendly person at the front counter "Jim" who is kind of a character so thats all good. However, he repeatedly broke my cardinal rule of customer service: If you are in the process of helping a customer at the counter, and the phone rings, either let it go to voicemail OR answer and ask them to please hold, put the phone down and finish the transaction with the person standing in front of you. Its OK to make the next person at the counter wait while you take care of the phone customer but its super rude and poor service to put the customer you are in the middle of helping on hold to help someone else on the phone. That being said, I brought my car in for a few simple issues (oil change, slow tire leak) and the big issue, it had stalled while I was driving it and it was unsafe. Brought it in around 9:30 a.m. on Monday and they called in the afternoon and said needed to keep it overnight to finish. Camshaft sensor was bad and needed to be replaced. Repair cost was a little bit of sticker shock but I racked that up to that I had been going to my friend who was a mechanic and I know he cut me a lot of deals over the years. Tuesday around 2 p.m. I got the call it was done. At the counter, mid-transaction waited twice while phone customers were taken care of. Paid and left to go to an appointment in New Brighton. Car was fine there. On the way back, car stalled twice, once almost causing me to get rear ended. Service engine light back on. Brought it back in Wednesday morning. Was again interrupted by a customer phone call midstream and cut off from what I was saying. Plus - friendly, seem to want to get it fixed, busy so must be doing something right. Con - Poor customer prioritizing and not fixed the first time. Because a fix can be tricky I am giving the benefit of the doubt, but right now Im at 2 stars. To be continued.

Brought my car in for an alignment after getting all new front suspension parts put in. Paid for the full 4 wheel alignment. There was only one guy working because the other guy decided not to show up for work. So the one guy working does my alignment.. And I swear it took him 20min to do a 4 wheel alignment.. Their is no way one guy can do a 4 wheel alignment that fast. So he writes me up for a 4 wheel alignment and says its done and the rear didnt need anything done to it and still charged me for the rear too. So after leaving I head down to Wisconsin to visit the family and I notice nothing really changed from before the alignment. So after 350 miles later I make an appointment at tires plus for an alignment check because I had this feeling nothing was done. I was right... Nothing but the camber was correct and barley correct. It took tires plus about 1 1/2 hours to do a full alignment and guess what the rear did need an alignment unlike percision said. NEVER get and alignment here. I Dont know about their other work but as far as I know never get your car alignment at any place that wont give you a print out.

This place ripped off my 16 year old son. He brought his car in for repair, they charged him $700, they had the car for 7 to 10 days over 2 attempts to fix the car, after they successfully got it to run out of the parking lot, my son drove it for 12 to 18 hours and it totally craps out. engine is knocking(wasnt doing it when we brought it in). Bring it back and now he needs a new engine. They wont refund ANY of his money. the repair was for power train control module and an oil switch. Took a kids $700, left him with a busted car. Even asked if they could just refund half of his money, they balked at that proposition. he had $1000 in his savings. Nice way to drain my sons bank account with no remorse. Even conned him to swipe after first repair attempt, the mechanic said he test drove it and it was good to go.....no way he did because my son barely got out the lot the first time. You just wanted to swipe his card for your bogus repair. COON RAPIDS PRECISION TUNE ARE RIP OFFS BEWARE!!! I will be contacting the BBB in regards to this matter as well. Brant

MONEY SWINDLERS! ZERO STARS if I could. I called ahead for a quote on an oil change and asked if my car would qualify for the $18 oil change they were advertising. I specifically asked them about my car needing the "special oil" (synthetic) and was told that Hondas didnt use synthetic (HAHA!) I managed to make my appointment, even though I had to interrupt a family emergency that was going on at home, I dropped my car off and was told that I was misquoted, but they would again only make me pay $18 because it was their mistake. So I literally ran-friggin RAN! (heavy breathing and all) about a half mile home so I could be with my daughter. About 15 minutes after getting home they called me and said that they would help me out and only charge me $55! OMG HAHAHAHAHA....... NOPE. I walked my a** back up there and took my key without saying a word. Being swindled is what every automobile owner fears. This place is pro at it. Dear Precision Autocare, Do Coon Rapids a favor and go out of business! PLEASE.

New owner, new problems. I have taken my car to this location for years, so I went to the website typed in my zip code to print out a oil change coupon and called and made an appointment. I go into the store to discover that they had cleaned and got rid of that odd shop smell. I then sit down after noticing a sign saying that they were under new management and accept the free oil changes any more, kinda sad but all good things must come to an end. After a minute of sitting I hear my car being revved like its some kind of sports car despite my car being a 1999 Saturn, needless to say I was horrified. I have never been to a auto shop that have treated my car like that before and was watching it from the waiting room. I should have left then, after they were done giving it new oil they refused to accept the coupon from the website despite still being part of Precision Tune. This is not a auto shop that I would recommend to any one even if they were fast to change the oil(20 min.).
