Ive been driving for 30 years and taking my vehicles in to darn near 100 service shops around the country, from Indiana to California. The Meineke service center at Burnsville was a very good experience for me and the two little children I was required to bring along who had a day off school. I needed a full vehicle inspection and they did an incredibly thorough job, spending a valuable labor hour taking off all the wheels and poking around the engine, checking all electricals, and they found something I knew about but didnt expect them to detect. Much credit to their expert mechanic. They have gone to lengths with a toy area and other distractions to ensure that parents can bring children for an extended time while retaining their sanity. This alone ensured three stars from me. This is not my first rodeo so I expect that when I bring a vehicle in for service, the are going to look for legitimate opportunities to SELL me products and services. They did this and were very transparent about my actual needs. The Meineke team including manager Mike were professional, courteous, timely, gave good advice, offered me a coupon on the spot to entice me to return, and charged me a bargain basement fee for the inspection. Ill definitely return to this shop when I need service on something I cant do myself. Maybe Ill need to update this review then. As a car owner I feel its my responsibility to do a little research and diagnosis and also to competitively quote expensive services. For example, it came as no surprise to me that Meinekes folks recommended I replace brake rotors and pads; I expected them to quote significant markups on those parts. I took their complete quote and researched prices and advice. Not horrible markups -- about 35-40% above buying direct retail from an auto parts store. It also turns out that with most hybrids like mine, brakes last a very, very long time. Over 100k in many cases. My factory brakes were at 3mm with 115k miles. I know that 99% of shops will replace your rotors because even if they dont need it, too many uneducated customers b___h about vibration from "warped" rotors. Its just the safe bet. Ill probably replace my own pads this month and keep the rotors, since theyre still pristine, then take the vehicle to the dealer for bleeding the brakes when Im done. I will visit this store next time I need scheduled maintenance other than oil and filter. Im going to book them to replace my timing belt soon.

We went in for two oil changes for our tmobile tues promotion but you could tell the man at the counter wasnt happy at all. We pre-scheduled our oil changes Tuesday right away for the upcoming Saturday. We get in and the guy was crabby said we have 160 oil changes to do today and only 20 oil changes worth of staff.. husband was like okaay.... A lady who didnt preschedule her free oil change left when he understandably said they were booked she left in a huff but he followed her to continue the convo which i did not think was very professional then vented to me about it which i didnt really like. Most of the time there he appeared crabby. I get the promotion might be overwhelming but at least try to have better customer service than that so people want to come back. ** I do have a suggestion. My toddler was playing in the kid area and the big thick bookshelves arent held in at all and he went to pull a toy off three shrlf and the shelf fell almost hitting my toddler. Landed right by his leg. Had it hit him i would have been really angry bc it def could hurt a kid. Wood glue the shelves

I went to Meineke Last Friday with my 97 k2500 (big truck) to have my exhaust redone. (I work at a dealership, however they couldnt get me in) I called and was able to get scheduled right away. The guys threw the truck on the lift and I was able to walk in the shop and take a look at the truck. My muffler on one side had rusted through the pipe and the other side would be following suit within the year so I had them replace it. My exhaust was not factory, but was made to be true dual exhaust. They bent the pipe to fit using my old ones as a layout and got new mufflers and welded them in. (pretty nice welds as well). I was bored sitting there so they let me use their laoner and i got some things done i needed to and they offered to buy me lunch as well! (nice guys). The quoted price and labor was a little high, but then again my exhaust isnt a simple plug and play kit. All in all i was very happy with the service and the guys are great. Thanks again...sorry about setting off your acuras alarm :) (loud truck again)

Very disappointed about my visit today. I got a special offer from Tmobile Tuesdays for a free oil change at Meineke. When I walked in, Mike (the MANAGER) was on a personal call on speaker phone about his plans this weekend....and how it will be his first time driving a trailer home drunk. He then tries to up-sell me on a bunch of things, and I let him know all I wanted was the basic oil change which was the promotion from Meineke through Tmobile. If you are unhappy that I dont want to be upsold, I get it. The coupon was to get me to come in and try out your business and your service and to try to capture a new customer. 1)do not accept the coupon if you think its a waste of time OR 2)keep it to yourself and remain professional INSTEAD: As I am walking away, he said (to a coworker) "see this is how they are all going to be, a complete waste of time...I can tell you one thing Im not doing this all day" So I paid them $3 in taxes and left....

I thought a hose was leaking from my car. I called Meineke twice to reschedule my appointment and they graciously told me to just bring it in when I could and theyd take a look. They were with my car for at least 20 minutes, topped off the oil and told me it was just a drain plug that wasnt tightened. I asked how much did I owe and they said nothing. NOTHING! I have never had such awesome service. I will definitely be bringing my car here for routine and (hopefully not too much) emergent maintenance. Thanks for the great experience!

Nobody likes dealing with car repairs or services but when you have to, dont take it here! The manager (named Mike) is extremely rude! Doesnt even act like hes happy to be there or wants to deal with customers. Aside from his poor attitude the services there always run higher than you think they should. My window is not working right after they changed my oil and he offered to look at it and charge me for it. Never going back!

Mike, the manager at the Southcross location, and his wife Anna, and everyone there, are the greatest. They are conscientious, honest, and kind. They won us over--- I absolutely trust them with my personal (and Uber) Ford Fusion. They WILL take time with your car. They are knowledgeable and experienced. Go Meineke Burnsville.

Came in for an oil change. Left with a hard start that didnt exsist before the oil change and they had no explanation. Got home and after two minutes with my code reader, diagnosed a bad coolant temp sensor. Take a look under the hood and what do you know they unlugged it. Stay away from these amateurs!
