Went in and got a quote on swapping the muffler out on my 2011 RAM 1500. I told the owner I was wanting a 14" Magnaflow muffler put on and he told that would be "too loud" on the Hemi and that I should get something like the 18" or 24" muffler instead. I asked him what the price was out the door and i was told it was going to be $425. I wasnt sure if thats the going rate nowadays for a simple muffler swap so I set up an appointment but also kept looking around at other options. A coworker referred me to Iowa Muffler and Brake in Des Moines. For the exact same job and cutting the resonator out and replacing it with pipe I was only charged something like $220. Needless to say I cancelled the appointment with Midwest Muffler. Also Iowa Muffler and Brake put my truck up on a lift and held various mufflers on so I could hear the different tones from each different kind. I listened to corsa, flowmaster, and the Magnaflow 14" that i had been wanting and fell in love with the Magnaflow. I wouldnt have it any other way. Midwest Muffler tried to rip me off and charge me $200 more than their competitors.

They were very informative when describing what was wrong with my muffler. They gave me a price after thoroughly explaining what needed to be done. I went and got something to eat, and when I came back they were done within the hour. They said that what they had quoted me was more than what I was actually going to pay, because they found a way to make the parts work! They were very respectful and I would recommend them to anyone who may have an exhaust problem and cant fix it! Great Price, and Great Customer Service!!!

Wonderful staff, quick, and reasonable. I have never had a bad experience with them! They have always got my car in quickly and have never tried to sell me more things that I do not need, they are just quick and to the point for the perfect price.......... OR SO I THOUGHT UNTIL TODAY!! So much trouble with my car I took it somewhere else and come to find out all the wrong size belts were put on and something that had supposedly been replaced was never done. No wonder theyre so nice, its a huge joke.

Once they started looking at the vehicle, they were afraid there was an underlying issue with the transmission, so they recommended us to another auto shop. Very honest and professional people!

They took the time to really figure out what was wrong with my Honda - more so than the dealer Id been going to for years. They also went through all the options and recommended the best one based on the age of my car. Ill be going back to them for sure!
