Had an not so good experience at Pro Tech Lakeville. I had a valve adjustment done which didnt fix the problem. Wait to figure out what to do next with my car, I decided to bring it home. It sounded worse than when it went in. So I called AAA and sent the car to an independent guy in Bloomington. The mechanic called and asked, why a valve adjustment was done, when it clearly needed a valve job (2 exhaust valves on #4) from the beginning and that a valve adjustment isnt how to diagnosis it. Plus, he found 2 bolts that were left loose. So, had I kept the car at Pro Tech, I would have spent 1600 on diagnosis, parts and labor. With 300 already invested in a valve adjustment and diagnosis, I let the new guy replace the valves. He said hed replace the timing belt and water pump for the cost of part because he was already "in there." I know for a fact Pro Tech would never take that approach. I saved approx. $800 on those two additional repairs. Then it hit me. Mr. Murphys facilities in Lakeville & Edina remind me of Las Vegas a little bit. The shops are newer, clean and Im sure provide a great work environment for the mechanics, service managers etc. But like the hotels and casinos built in Vegas, are not built with winners money, they are built with losers money. It appears the shops are built by gauging loyal customers and charging to the hilt.

Excellent customer service where they went above and beyond. I was going on a long driving family vacation and wanted to have my car serviced. All of the necessary maintenance was performed on time at a reasonable price. I also inquired about my rear shocks sagging because of the tongue weight from my boat. ProTech researched solutions and contacted another vendor who could help out. They then called me back providing the name of the other vendor who could fix the problem and let me know that the other vendor would be contacting me the next day. I very much appreciate the on-going excellent service of my Honda Pilot at a fair price and for being solution-oriented on fixing another concern that I had with my vehicle!

The people at ProTech Auto are personal, very knowledgeable. Ive had several different cars maintained by this location in Rosemount and the related location of Grandview Auto in Edina over the course of 8-10 years. Both, locations are very good. The prices are competitive at this competency level. They are always happy to quote an estimate before doing the work. They also, dont nickel and dime you with unnecessary work. The workers seem happy to help you and dont seem stressed over time to complete the maintenance or repair. Im a mechanically minded person and have been driving cars for nearly 30 years. You can count on ProTech or Grandview for your repair.

Started using them for oil changes a few years back and have had two great service experiences there. In one instance, the tech went out of his way to assure me that a $200+ repair (one that was more in the nice-to-have realm than anything that would affect the cars safety or driveability) wasnt necessary, which I truly appreciated. Most shops would have taken the opposite approach. More recently, had some air conditioning work done and was overjoyed at the low cost and the thoroughness with which they handled my cars problem. The folks at their service desk are always friendly and exceedingly professional. Cant ask for much more from a car repair place!

Excellent Service ALWAYS! I most recently took my car in to check a leaking tire. The system in my car told me that it was a different tire than it actually was. They were able to quickly identify which tire was leaking and get me in right away to have my system align with the correct tires and fix/patch the leaking tire for a very minimal charge. I also take my car to Protech for regular mainatance (i.e. oil changes, tire rotation, etc). They are always friendly, helpful, and do a great job for a great price, not to mention a free carwash with every oil change and reward points to use toward their services. Top notch and highly recommended.

I have taken our vehicles to many different locations over the past few years...and now I wont take them anywhere else. This shop is honest, straight forward, and know what they are doing. I was recently in a very sticky situation and this shop helped me get through it with grace, an immense amount of honestly, and a lot of integrity. I always want a mechanic that is going to tell me what I need to know and be honest about it. At other shops Ive felt taken advantage of or talked down to, but that has never happened here. I encourage you to take your vehicles here and you wont be disappointed - on all fronts!

This place is great. I moved to Minneapolis a few years ago, and I still trek all the way down to Lakeville to get my oil changed and any maintenance done at ProTech. They are always honest and upfront and I never feel like Im being swindled. Theyre very frank about what they can and cannot do -- there was a time when they recommended that I take my diesel car (which they have done plenty of work on in the past) to the dealership because they didnt have the parts and expertise to fix a particular problem with it. Theyve even recommended not fixing something before. I love this place and wont go anywhere else.

ProTech Automotive is the leading automotive repair facility in the south suburban area. We have exclusively entrusted all of our vehicles ever since they opened. I have always been dealt with fairly and honestly even though the news they deliver is not something I wanted to hear. I have never had them charge me more than what was estimated and if a repair is going to take longer than expected they call me quickly, they apologize sincerely, and they tell me what is going on and why. The shop is clean, well organized, and is an asset to the community.

Finding a reliable local auto service business can be a chore. You never know who you can trust them until you try them out. Ive been giving ProTech my business for about 5 years now because of that very factor: I can trust them to give me good quality service every time. I think what really sets them apart is their superb customer service. Everyone is friendly and the atmosphere is uplifting. They even provide a "shuttle" service to bring you home if you dont have a ride while they are working on your car. Two thumbs up from me.

Apparently appointments mean nothing here. I set an appointment for a tire rotation and brake inspection, and arrived on time. After waiting in the lobby for 1 hour and 15 minutes and seeing my car hadnt even moved from my parking space I finally just asked for my keys back and left. The worst part is I was never even acknowledged sitting there waiting for that long, and when I asked for my keys back the guy was clueless I had been sitting there forever and had no idea what was going on (same guy that checked me in no less).
