Hopkins Tires Plus is spot on ! I have been comming here for more than 15 years now. I have never been happier. When I bring all 3 of my vehicles here, plus 2 of my companies vehicles here, I can relax in the fact they are done right. NEVER have I been blind sided by anything. One gets , what one deserves. Take care of the vehicle, and the back end expenses will not bite you in the end. There will always be circumstances beyond yours, and their control. These mechanics can tell neglect, from normal wear , and tear. Hitting curbs, pot holes, etc. Its what they are trained to look for. ITs your safety they are looking out for. Some places do not, its about $$$, here it is not. They actually care. Been there, gone elsewhere if on the road, and I COME BACK HERE. As a customer, you have the right to get involved. SO do it. Watch either through the window, or ask to go back to talk to the mechanic, ask questions. Too busy ? Everyone is too busy. You can always refuse service, and go elsewhere. Its up to you to decide what option, and direction to take. Take responsibility for your decisions. Simple oil changes can lead to other discoveries that might need imediate action, and then there is the procrasting customer to decide brakes are not needed at this time, and they either fall out, or score the rotors so bad they need to get replaced as well. Brake lines ? Salt erodes them and they become brittle. A pin hole and a leak, no brake pressure. Listen to what is being said, and go look at it ! Part availability is not as easy some times as one might think. Sometimes it has to go back to the dealership to get the part, because the part is not available as a third party part. You go to Tires Plus to save the MONEY ! in the first place. Its common sense. Parts not in stock at a dealership is not on them, or you. Its reality, thats all. When the part comes in finally, the dealership can, and generally does change the price, and not on the downside either for you. THE BIG picture here is that with my 3 cars, my kids are in college, and something happens to any of us, the first thing any of can do is call HOPKINS Tires Plus, and they will work to get the situation resolved asap no matter where you are traveling. They have the resources, and skill set to do this. Especially as a customer. I have had to do this three times, as I travel a lot. Have I ended up at a Tires Plus all three times ? No I have not. They have taken the time to make sure that a tow was happening, and the repair shop was going to meet my standards as I have taken the time to not only trust them, but have earned their respect as to how much care I have put into my vehicles. Bottom Line.

Bee 1/18/2012 As a consumer, I blame myself for being too trusting. As a businessman, I am disgusted with what passes for customer service here. We have been customers for a number of years. Never questioning pricing, never challenging their recommendations for what needed to be repaired, or when tires needed replacing for either of our cars...SHAME ON ME....In late October had to get Karens car in for oil change, and advised there was a strong gas odor. Skipping details, after three calls, I had authorized about $1,300.;00 worth of work on the car. Then comes a call telling me that a $225.00 part has now become a $600.00 part. When I ask about a warrantied used part, am strongly discouraged. When all was said and done, bill was close to $1,900.00. Took weeks instead of days. SHAME ON THEM. In this case, did not have time to question and search, as was going in for surgeries, and did not want burden upon Karen. Thinking car is all done, we go to pick it up. Lo and Behold, they have found another problem, and cannot tell me whether will be $50,00 or $500.00 to fix. I politely let them know we were dismayed at how this had gone, and asked that they check price, and call me. I went on line and found the part for $6 - $8.00. After a week, we called and were told that i had advised them not to buy it. Once again we asked for quote. Once again waited a week, and called them. Promised a call back in 10 minutes. Maybe they called someone who is reading this, because they sure did not call us. So, two weeks later I send a letter to the "boss", advising of our diappontment in the entire affair. Apparently, the same person who recieved our call back the first time, received our reply this time too...CONCLUSION OF THIS NOVELLA: Should have read reviews myself a long time ago. SHAME ON ME.... and a final SHAME ON THEM for their mistreatment and rudeness to a long-time, loyal customer.

I have never been so shocked at the lack of Integrity, sheer dishonesty and a con-man mentality within a business such as this. went in for new tires and to replaces a TPMS sensor. i was told it would reset automatically after driving a few minutes. 3 days later with the TPMS warning light still illuminated, i returned to Tires Plus Hopkins. i was told 2 other tire sensors werent reading when scanned. i Requested that i witness the tires being removed once again, when i saw and clearly identified 2 sensors damaged by. clear employee negligence. after having to argue with the 2 employees. the man who i assume is a shift lead of somekind said we will replace them and it would be about 15 minutes more. that was 45 minutes ago, the same guy just told me that he needed to run and get a sensor from a shop a couple blocks down the road and has yet to return. This has been an absolutle nightmare! I will never do business with this shop again, and i strongly urge that you do the same. if you dont have a choice, Just ask to witness the work and demand to be shown evidence of the problems they claim need fixing.

My husband went to this place yesterday because his car indicated low tire pressure and he thought that Tires Plus would be a cheaper alternative to this regular high-end mechanic. He was immediately told that one of his tires was improperly patched up and given a $711 (!) estimate to fix it if he really wanted to but of course the better alternative would be to just buy and install a new set. He decided to swing by his regular mechanic instead and it took the guy all of 15 minutes to fix the tire and another problem for a total of $50 (the other problem required a new part so clearly just the tire fix wold have been even less). When told what the guys at Tire Plus said, our mechanic just laughed out loud and said, what a load of bull----t, the previous patch up job was just fine and had nothing to do with anything, those guys just tried to sell you a set of tires, thats what they always do.

I went to this place to get some bead leaks fixed on my car. They told me I needed 4 new tires, a new timing belt, new water pump, struts and a few other things, The car just had a new timing belt and waterpump installed 1 week previously by another shop. I called them on the timing belt and waterpump and they ended up charging me for flat fixes instead of having the bead leaks fixed for free under warranty (I had the protection plan). They have tried to rip me of on other items prior and I have not fallen for it as I know a bit about cars. I had a friend who worked for Tires plus and I was told they are given commissions based on recommendations. A few weeks ago I called reguarding the cost of a tranny flush and an oil change on my Honda Insight. It was the same as the dealer charges... This place is not low cost and will rip you off if you dont know much about cars. Beware.
