Took in my vehicle to get new tires put on, was told my front struts are loud and shot and need to be replaced. I agree to the replacement, leave with car and I hear a loud bang underneath the front left passenger seat like a rock hitting metal, I stop the car and look and see nothing and continue to drive back home. Next day when coming back in I notice a vibration and car pulling to the side, Tires plus tells me I tore my CV Axle boot joint (there is grease and tranny fluid all inside the undercarriage), tires plus tells me there is no way they damaged it during the Strut and tire replacement. I demand the mechanic to walk me through the steps of replacement to prove that they didn’t break my CV Joint, he refuses and insists IT MY Fault. I’ve had this car for 7 years and had the front end serviced multiple times, never had an issue with a car coming back worse than it was dropped off in. I finally call corporate to complain since I just paid 1500 dollars in new suspension and tires and now they want me to pay for an Axle join that they BROKE. They finally give in after a lot of arguing and replace it free of charge. Car still drives like crap, vibrates, not aligned. Take it back AGAIN, get it re-aligned again (This is my 3rd trip) Issue still persists, I stay screw it ill take it to another one, I take it to Tires plus in Minnetonka next to Ridgedale, same thing, vibration at 60-70mph, I’m told its because of a dented rim. Funny… The rim has been dented for 7 years, never had issues with vibrations at that speed, EVER, period, with ANY shop I have had my tires rotated. Lastly, they not only rotated my tires (I said not to, just do an alignment the tires were bought in April of this Year), so they rotate them anyway and they also install my Tire pressure monitor sensors backwards. But to top it all off, they tore my same CV Axle Joint that they replaced AGAIN, my car developed a slow leak of transmission fluid, one day driving into work, car nearly seized up on me, had to call of work, take car to another shop only to be told that my Tranny fluid is burnt, really low and I have serious damage to my transmission. I ask the mechanic where the leak is coming from, he points to the Brand new CV Axle joint that Tires plus Broke initially and refused to replace until I called the corporate office… To say I am furious is an understatement. Every SINGLE time my car has been in their shop it has developed new issues and problems. I have called their corporate office and began a claim process, specifically told them to call me, instead they email me a week later, I again call and ask them to contact me ASAP directly as I cannot go to work, get groceries, get my kids, I am forced to bum rides or use other peoples vehicles just to get around. I have sunk 1500$ into repairs for this car and now have MORE issues then I had before Tires Plus. I will be contacting my Attorney this week and also filing a written letter of Complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Minnesota, since Calling their HQ and getting a Claim process takes WEEKS and I get NO reply from their adjuster, since I guess its fine as long as their car is not in shambles, and they don’t have to worry about missing work, or lost hours and time, or just the simple fact I can’t even go and get groceries for my kids without borrowing someone else’s car. Their mechanics are the worst, have no idea what they are doing, not ASE certified, will not admit or own up to ANY mistakes they do, every single person told me to stay away from Tires Plus, nope I decided to give them a shot. I will never use them, I will never recommend them to ANYONE and I will advised people to go elsewhere. Literally the most incompetent entity and company I have ever dealt with.

I really wanted to give you guys a bad review BUT I cannot because of how easy you were to deal with. I purchased winter tires and opened a credit card for the rebate. That purchase and install was A+. I was able to purchase the tires at a discount with a rebate and have them installed almost a month later per my request! Awesome. So when it came time to look for new summer tires this was my first stop to check prices on new wheels and tires. Again great service getting prices and answering my questions. I decided not to make a purchase the day I came in because I wanted to shop around. They informed me they had a special going on and that if I wanted to take advantage of it I needed to have my order in by close of business on Sunday. I did not end up making a purchase. I decided to wait for more summer specials to come around. Unfortunately about two weeks later when I received my tires plus credit card bill my current balance was $1600 more than it had previously been!!! I was not happy and immediately got on the phone to the CC company. After an hour wait on hold I was told there were two purchases made at the tires plus store and I would have to contact the store manager to get the charges reversed. So I did just that. I called in the evening ready for a battle over wheather or not I had made the purchase. I talked to Marty who informed me that the wheels and tires I had come in to inquire about had been purchased for me and that the manager who had purchased them for me would be working in the morning and that I needed to talk to him. I was a little annoyed that I could not get this taken care of right away but Marty was very polite and understanding. So the next day I waited for a call from the other manager Gary. I was ramping up for another battle to try to get the charges reversed and by 10am I could wait no longer and I called the store. I got Gary almost immediately and his patience and politeness were disarming. He immediately offered to reverse the charges. Even though he did not offer an apology his willingness to take care of the problem without any questions was a relief. 4 stars because this shouldnt have happened in the first place and for the inconvenience of having to chase down a reversal. Otherwise Marty, Gary and Andrew were very polite and professional and I have had no problems with my winter tires or the install.

My experience on January 6th wasnt even sub-par. First, after telling them I didnt want my serpentine belt replaced they replaced it, then tried to charge me for it. Second, the reason I brought it there in the first place, was to get my radiator replaced. Problems with that is... First, I cant believe how much they charge for a new one when I could have boughten a higher grade one for $50 dollars less.. Second, once I got my car back and drove it, it started making this grinding noise and right then I new I should never go there... after further review today I realized they never got my electric fan or regular fan back in the right spot on the bottom, which was making the bottom of both fans GRIND on the fan shrouds louder than an episode of "Will It Blend?"... THIRD thing wrong was still cant figure out how they broke my cruise control Im thinking it has something to do with my vacuum lines that they screwed up while replacing the radiator? I couldnt even tell you yet, but I know it all worked before I brought it to this Tires Dump. LAST BUT NOT LEAST my fan controls for inside my Jeep dont change from foot, to cab, to defrost window anymore which, for me, is enough to piss off the pope. I dont believe its GARYs [Service Advisor] fault but it is HIS lack of management or control/watch over these young "mechanics" who do anything to barely get the car fixed with minimal effort. The guy who worked on my car was named 04 ERIC. Or any least thats what my receipt is saying. I forgot to mention what gave me a first clue about all this stuff. It was the broken off top part of my fan shroud that was just thrown in my passenger side on the floor, without mentioning a word of that to me. Without question I went in there and told them what was up, and they played the "huh? huh? what you talking about?" card.. One good thing is they DID order me a new fan shroud and I took it and ran, you can bet I will never have any Tires Plus work done to any vehicle of mine ever again. Sincerely, Taylor Crippa.
