Go here only if you have an excess of money and dont mind paying for services not needed. I brought my 1960 Impala to these guys to have the carburetor worked on. The car had been in storage for 10 years. Wynn had advised me that the carb was full of rust, but could easily be rebuilt for roughly $680.00. I inquired about a new carb, he said not necessary, the current carb is fine, it just needs to be rebuilt. I trusted his advise and said lets do it. I picked the car up and she ran beautifully for 2 weeks....until I rolled the windows up and could hear this obnoxious, annoying high pitch whistle. (Which my wife pointed out). I didnt notice it initially because with the windows down the wind muffled it. I took the car back in, advised Wynn of the whistle, he said theyd look into it. I received a call 2 hours later, Wynn said that it turns out I need a new carburetor because the current one has a micro crack in the body. (I hadnt even put 10 miles on the car since they initially rebuilt the carb for $680.00!!). I was pretty upset, he said there was no way of him knowing, I then reminded him that I had asked about buying a new one in which he assured me it wasnt necessary. I was extremely frustrated! I said fine, lets put a new one on there but I want to pay his cost on it. Theres no way Im paying full cost for a new carb after he mistakenly advised to rebuild a bad carb. He said no, hes not willing to do it, but maybe he can do a temporary patch of some sort, hell call me back. (A temporary patch??? Seriously?) I get a call 3 hours later, he said he sent it out to some carb shop, its good as new. I went to pick it up, the mechanic didnt even want to speak to me, he said just take my car and go. (That wasnt comforting at all). And to top it off, Wynn had that screw up look on his face.... Anyway, I drove the car out of there.....the noise returned after two weeks. I spent $680 for nothing.....$680, and the mechanic said just take it and go...... I did some research, it turns out I could of bought a new carb and had it installed for cheaper. It makes me sick every time I think about this. I waited all summer before I wrote this review. Im a small business owner, I believe in always trying to stay on the positive side with people. But this whole experience is so not right. I dont want it to happen to anyone else. There is another review on the web from a BMW owner who also got taken pretty bad by these guys. I read it before taking my vehicle to them, I figured it was just a flook, just one bad customer. But now I really feel that guys pain. These guys are great if your ignorant about cars and carry an open wallet. But if your looking for that warm place you can trust, if your looking for that shop that is looking out for "your" best interest. Please, for the sake of anyone who just doesnt want to be screwed, please shop around, always get a second opinion. Use these guys if you must, but get a second opinion before you okay any work other then an oil change. Ill be installing a new carburetor this spring, Ill have to eat that $680 that I gave Wynn for bad advise. Note, I keep saying Wynn. Because the mechanics were shocked I was rebuilding it and not replacing it. Wynn pushed hard on the rebuild. But I get it, more hours in rebuilding then replacing. You got me there World Auto. I just hope other customers read this. FYI, I found that warm happy shop. Ive been taking my Impala to Midas of Eden Prairie. The guys have been great and have gone above and beyond on repairs and services Ive needed. I never leave there feeling like Ive been taken advantage of and the mechanics are always 100% and the same page as the advisers. Thanks for taking the time to read this and good luck to you.

World Auto Repair is by far the best repair shop I have seen in my entire life. They are amazing. They are personable, HONEST, quick, extremely smart and knowledgeable, very trustworthy. Not even once I felt that their suggestions were motivated by profits, which happens in so many car repair places. I wish there were more businesses like them. As long as I live close enough to bring my car here, I will use them as only car repair shop and I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Honest Mechanics. I have been taking all of my cars to World Auto for over 10 years. After moving to the Twin Cities it was a real treat finding an honest Mechanic. Their prices are good and they are upfront with everything. They dont up-sell you or try to convince you to do work that is not necessary. They even go the extra mile finding rebuilt parts and giving you the option to go with the rebuilt, new after market or OEM. I have never had a problem with their service or work.

Ive known others who have brought their car here, and Wynn and Tom have shown great expertise in fixing the problems quickly and with reasonable costs. I have just brought my BMW here for a problem that was supposed to have been fixed before at another mechanic. They diagnosed the real issue, ordered the parts, and could not have been friendlier. It is tough to find mechanics you can trust, and these guys are the real deal! Highly recommend without reservation!
