Came to this business because of the good reviews that have been posted. I needed 4 new tires and arrived later in the afternoon. Lou & Bernice helped me get my van in for inspection. And sure enough. I needed tires. Unfortunately I was going to need to leave it so that they would be able to install the new tires, and check alignment and also make any adjustments as necessary - so an overnight stay. I live in Prior Lake. My wife wouldnt be able to pick me up for 3 hours. Lou said - look we have a rental/loaner that he can let me use. Just pay the gas. What? Really? He went on to say that there isnt any reason to sit around waiting for my wife for 3 hours. Just return in the morning with a full tank of gas. My vehicle was ready to go just as Lou had stated. Tires & alignment both needed to be done. And there wasnt any issues that arose of - well you know...you should replace this...or this is really worn, you dont want to let it go...like a lot of shops lately are doing. Also - I want to mention that I had stopped at a local Goodyear dealer less than 8 weeks ago to inspect my tires. Their reply? Youll be good until winter without any problem. Hydro-planning across the road over the last week of rain proved that wasnt an accurate statement. Thank you to Lou, Bernice & Paul and the rest of the crew at Modern Auto Care. Great honest job. Thanks for taking care of me.

I thought they did a good job with the service that we needed. Ive had my tires rotated and changed and front end aligned, etc. many times on this truck (10 yrs old, 130,000 miles), but after doing it here was the FIRST time I could take my hands off the steering wheel and it actually stayed straight on a straight road. My only complaint: when I went in, my "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" light was NOT on. When I picked up the truck, it was on. This is not a huge big deal because it has happened before. BUT, when I mentioned it, the owner went into "denial mode" and immediately reacted, "It was on when you came in." Again, it was NOT on. When something changes, cop to it. Dont cover your butt. It was a very serious turn-off to encounter this mindset. It makes me worry about what would happen if something more serious occurred. So this actually influences me to be significantly less likely to return there, even though the other experiences with them were good. Sellers, beware! Be honest, its the best policy.

Value for the dollar. I have done business with Modern for over 20 years and have always received consistent high quality service. Modern has serviced my daily drivers and my sports and special interest cars. I consider myself a car guy and do a lot of my own work but there are times when specialized equipment and knowledge are needed. I specifically recommend Modern for alignment and suspension work as well as tire application advice. I explain what performance objectives I want and they work up a solution. They sell me what I need not what they need to move off their shelf and are realistic about what can and can’t be done with the car. To my non-automotive friends, I tell them take a little time to talk to the folks at Modern and try to be clear about expectations and realistic about costs. They run an honest business but they don’t sell poor quality and they will not put unsafe work out on the road. It is still a case of; you get what you pay for.

I brought my car here for an oil change. When I dropped the car off the Trip A odometer read 9500 and some change. Upon picking up my car I noticed the Trip A odometer had a reading of 22.3 miles. I called to find out why the reading would change to anything but 0. The gentleman on the phone said that is impossible and asked me what the total reading on the odometer was. I told him the current reading (note that this is 3 miles down the road) and he said that is what his system shows for a reading when I dropped it off there. So not only did an employee use my car after the oil change the person I spoke to lied to try and cover that up. I would like to note this is most likely the owner of the shop I am talking to. I came here for convenience because it is close to where I work, however I will not be returning to future service. I am paying for my oil to be changed not for a service tech to run his errands in my car, with my gas.

Had new tires and rear shocks installed. Tires, shocks, and labor were reasonably priced. I shopped around and got quotes from three other shops and all quotes were similar. In the end Modern Auto Care was closest to my work, which they were very willing to drop me off and pick up when the work was completed. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable and were accurate about the repairs needed. I had no surprises or felt they were taking advantage of me. I didnt have anyone telling me "We wont know until we get in there and take a look". To be fair , shocks and tires are a pretty standard fix but I feel now that I have had a chance to get to know the work they do and their character. I will be confident and willing to bring my vehicles to them when there is an unknown issue that requires "We wont know until we get in there and take a look". Facilities were clean and staff very friendly

I have now had two services performed on my Accord at Modern Auto Care. They have always been extremely friendly and very helpful! They fixed both a bearing and the high pressure power steering line and I havent had an issue with either since. The prices were also extremely fair, and they do a quality job. They gave me the estimate on the services I said and wanted without trying to oversell me on anything, and said they would call if anything changed that would require more work (and nothing changed). I will definitely be recommending them to my friends in the area.

This place is great. I called and spoke with Paul, who was very friendly and helpful. I needed a used car inspection same day for a prior salvage car that looked like a great deal, and he got me in when I needed. He told me to steer clear of the car in question (no pun intended) because of some stuff they found. On top of that, he said they didnt have to dig very deep to see the trouble, and ended up not charging me for anything! I would definitely go back here for my car troubles or to check out a potential car purchase if I was in the area. Thanks guys!

Brought a challenge to Paul & Lou my 1987 Toyota Supra that had not been run in 10 years. They were able to get it running and road worthy in a week and half. They talked to me about any work they thought was necessary before doing the work. They discussed all the reasonable alternatives open to me along with their recommendation. the costs were lower than I expected and they even discussed a plan to make the car run better over time. These guys are the best Jim C
