Stylist did great job on haircut and was really nice. I gave her a $5 tip because she cut it real well but... When I got home I looked at my receipt and noticed $14 for conditioning treatment. Stylist put conditioner in my hair and rinsed it out within a minute. I could have bought a bottle of conditioner for that much. Anyway at check out I gave her the coupon from the back of Cub receipt which had a coupon for both haircut & conditioning treatment. I emailed the Edina location but received no response. I called them and was told they can only take one coupon. No where is that stated or was I told this information. If they would have accepted the coupon for the conditioner "treatment" Id take it as a learning experience to make sure I clearly say no to extras and look at my receipt before I leave. But the rudeness of its our policy, when the customer is telling you that they were very disappointed, didnt get what they paid for, and even understands they will be charged for it. But then say no we arent going to accept the coupon either; makes it such a horrible experience. Id rather have paid $50 plus for a haircut and over with it, then carrying the bad experience over to the next day. And all this for not accepting a $5 coupon from a customer. Side note - they have these signs posted about free hot towel applied, which never happened. Another thing to add to overall disappointing experience.

I have been told for my sons whole life that he has a difficult haircut because of this abundance of cowlicks and my desire for a faux hawk, which doesnt fit with his cowlicks. The stylists have always met or exceeded my expectations, and have been pleasant about my meticulous requests, which has kept me coming back for years. Last week, my son got his first horrible haircut. I called back to see if it could be fixed and the manager said, "No problem. Please come back in and somebody will fix it." He apologized for the bother and gave me a free haircut credit. You should ask for Anna when you go to this salon. She spent 20 friendly minutes doing an excellent job fixing the haircut that she didnt get paid one cent for. At the end, I asked Megan to split the tip I had given her with Anna due to the fact that Anna had spent just as much time on my son as she had. When Megan said no, and that she had already spent the $5, Anna was UNBELIEVABLY and uncommonly gracious and professional. She deserves your business since it is clear that she will give you awesome service for free.

I will be returning to this salon for all my cuts, trims and waxes from now on! SAVANNAH gave me the cutest long-bob and she even helped me decide on the cut. (I showed her several examples from Pinterest, and she helped me understand how they were different.) She was so sweet and careful, and because of my hair texture and the cut, I received special attention from the manager throughout the cut. The two of them took extra time to pay attention to the shape of my head and the texture of my hair (VERY THICK, LONG AND CURLY) to give me an amazing cut that works with curly or straight styles. I 100% recommend this salon! Extra credit: Since my hair is prone to damage and I am somewhat of a hair care connoisseur, it breaks my heart when most stylist say, “Do you ever use a conditioner?” Savannah excitedly informed me about the benefits of their Redkin conditioning treatment and complimented my color and length. For the first time, I felt like my stylist didn’t look down on me for my damaged hair and genuinely wanted to help. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS!

if there was a zero minus ...that would be more accurate. this salon on two different tries was v e r y.... not all the hair was dried...the style was flat and not worth the money...the people that worked there were rude and hurried. The only place I have been recently worse that the Edina location was the Richfield location on nicollet ave.... Megan S. dropped a mirror cut my arm with glass....also left part of my hair not dried...did not use mouse so my hair was limp. And worst of all when she was done....I saw her put her hair brushes with my hair and who knows who elses hair back in her drawer. Her own hair was dirty and looked like makeup from days ago....not clean...not groomed...Although there was only one other customer she rushed me and service all around was awful.

This was the worst haircut experience of my life. The hairdresser literally took a 10 minute smoke break in the middle of my hair being washed. Then she proceeded to come back in and smother me on the stench whole she finished washing my hair. Then as soon as we get back to the chair, another customer walks in and she can take them because shes "almost done". We hadnt even started. And I have a lot of hair- its thick, wavy, and long. I wanted to trim up my layers and a little off the bottom. She took a big chunk off the bottom and didnt do anything with my layers before kicking me out the door to get on to the next customer. Its clearly about quantity over quality here. I had to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed. Dont waste yoir money.

The last time I got a haircut there wasnt very good. When the stylist was done with the haircut, I thought everything looked fine. A couple days later, some friends pointed out some long hairs that the stylist forgot to snip. I looked at the mirror myself and sure enough, there were. There were lots. I wasnt too happy so I went back to try to get it fixed. The woman at the front desk told me theyd have to charge me to get it fixed. What the bleep? Why should I have to pay for something they messed up on? I told the woman to forget it and that Im going somewhere else. Thats exactly what I did. I was compelled to write this because my partner got his haircut there last weekend, and it was terrible.

Fantastic Sams in Edina is by far the best hairsalon in the Twin Cities!!! I bring my entire family to this location and they always impress me each time I visit the salon. Katie is the stylist that colors my hair and cuts my childern and husband and she is so great. Katie is so patient with my childern and they actually sit stil for her in the chair during there haircuts, which makes my life eaiser. Katie is also an expert at cutting and coloring and she is very speedy and accurate with her foils, I can get a full foil and haircut in under 2 hours. If you are needing a great haircut or color go to Fantastic Sams in Edina and request to see Katie, you will be impressed!!!

Any time I go to this location, they are very courteous and helpful. Seeing that I get a haircut every 2-3 weeks and have a budget to work from, the price point is perfect. The service is great and they are always attentive to what I am looking for. The only thing I would change is the wait sometimes. I know its first come first serve but my haircut is pretty simple and when I have to wait an hour or more for a haircut because there are multiple colorings happening it gets to be a little long. Maybe have an express service for simple task like a guys or kids haircut. All in all always a great experience and I love the pleasantness of the staff!
