recently my mom reserved a storage parking space with and online discount price the following day Janae called my mother on her phone asking her when will she be in she told Janae that she will be in the following day my mother went in to the fridley location with me and we were told by Janae and her coworker that my mom will have to look at the parking spot first which was fine but due to the fact that my mom had brought along her 2 year old grandchild she asked me to go back with the guy to see the space i agreed as we went back to look at space the guy ask me have i ever had a space at public storage i said yes an on our way back to the front he says that my other cant get the online discount because it was 1 person a household i clearly stated to him that my mother dont live with me and that she owns her own home and that her driver license will show that an that she owns her own home but he and Janae still refused to give her the online price so we left but as i was leaving i called back to ask Janae and her coworker why was i denied the online discount because the person before me was allowed to rent a space even though he stated that he didnt have a title or a bill of sale they kept talking there way around this and so then they start saying to me the reason why they wouldnt allow my mother to get the online discount is because my number and my mother number were the same which was a flat out (LIE) and my mother stated to them that wasnt true because they had called her on her phone not my phone...these new people that work at this public storage location are the worst and they show favoritism to customers

If I could give this location 0 stars I would do that. I have been at this location for several years when they were Minikahda mini storage and on into the transition with public storage. Since Public Storage took over they not only raised my rates, but lied to me explaining that my things would be lost if I was not to pay my bill within the month. I had a hard ship in my life where someone destroyed my car and I was unable to replace it and I was left on the street homeless along with being low income and disabled. When I called Public Storage they told me that I needed to pay my storage by the end of the month and if I didnt my items would be auctioned. I have since been told by a more reputable location that this is not true and that you have a certain amount of days beyond the 30 days to pay. Basically I had another 15 to 30 days to pay and I did not have to be panicked by it considering I have a panic disorder and this inflared it. Dont like this place, the staff is ok. Please try to rent from somewhere that is either privately owned or just simply not public storage if you can do it!! I no longer do my business at this location even know my items are stored there! I have to go into another location elsewhere to make sure that Im not lied to and understand Im just trying to pay my bill and not playing games. If I had the physical ability to move my items out of this place I would. When they changed over I had no choice but to continue on as I am physically unable to move my entire storage unit. And have absolutely no one to help do so.

I made a reservation, did the express check-in online, and showed up a half-hour before closing (the soonest I could make it). the door was locked and there was no one there. I waited around, called a few times (no answer) and noticed the sign saying the manager would be back 5 mins to closing. Why would you take your break during the last half hour of work? when she finally showed up she was very unprofessional and told me she couldnt help me. I told her it was an emergency (which it very much was) but she insisted that I was not there when I told her I was and again told me she couldnt help me. She is a heartless, lazy, unsympathetic person and I hope she learns to take her job more seriously. I believe her name was Janae-- she was Caucasian with black hair.

I was helped by a young lady by the name of Chelsea and she was by far the most helpful and understanding employee of any storage facility I have ever been in. There was confusion about my space and fees and I kept getting the run around by different operators and she took it among herself to find out what was going wrong and single handedly fixed the whole problem. She deserves a manager position if she isnt already one. Thank you once again for helping me out Chelsea! I am also 3,000 miles away from my storage unit and this situation was taken care of as if I were in the office with Public storage.

Beware I was told by an employee there that if I had my things out of storage by the 6th I would not have to pay for the month they would pro rate me back . I have been a customer there for around 4 years and was told after they took the auto pay out that they were sorry but for the fact I have auto pay they would not be able to refund my money. Since, I have tried contacting Mickey Joy, district manager .After leaving numerous messages i have yet to hear back. Poor business ethics.!!!!!

Coming back to edit my review. The employee makes you pull out you phone and write a review on the spot as you are signing the contract. I felt obligated to put 5 stars because its Minnesota and we hate confrontation. The girl was nice. Storage was good. No issues there. I removed the stars because I feel the reviews are a bit of false advertising. No one wants to write a negative review while standing in front of an employee.

Everything is just fine as far the storage goes; the attendant was cheerfull and service is good. i gave 5 star because of the good attitude i got, but the rental space didnt get swept out, and seeing that she was by herself at such a large facility and had customers coming in, - she needed help and she apologized for it, so i excused it. Very nice personality - smile. Thank you very much!.

Very professional service at this location. Sharnell/Janae was very professional I also liked that other customers came in the location and she knew them by name really shows that they take a lot of pride in their work and do an excellent job. I will definitely recommend this location to everybody that I know that is looking for storage. Thank you for the excellent service.

Sharnell is amazing. Not only did she make sure I had the right sized unit but also made sure I had the right supplies. She provided some of the best customer service I have ever received. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for storage and work with Sharnell because she made this process and experience as seamless as possible.
