I had my hair and makeup done here yesterday for prom. My hair turned out ok. I had showed her a picture of the braided updo that I wanted. She said she could do it and she started curling. She was very rough teasing my hair and added way too much hairspray. When I was shown the back I was unpleasantly surprised that it looked nothing like the picture. It did have two weird looking braids and it was all up. I figured whatever it looks fine Im sure makeup will turn out bettver. WRONG!!! I showed her a picture of the makeup I wanted: nude/ brown eyes, fake eyelashes, and a red lipstick. She applied foundation and then moved on to eyeshadow. I asked too see it and was slightly freaked out that my eyelids were covered with pink and purple shadow. I asked her to make it brown and some how fix it. She added brown on top so my eyelids were a solid light brown color. Once again, I was unsatisfied and asked for it to be slightly more brown because the pink and purple was still visible. She added it but did not let me see it. She then proceeded to coverup the fallout with tons of foundation. She added brown eyeliner that was way too thick and smudged weirdly. Keep in mind this entire time my makeup was being done entirely with those little plastic makeup applicators so there was no possible way that it could look good. However, my eye brows did turn out decent, but she asked me if she should use dark brown or black. Keep in mind my eyebrows are a very light blond color. I said defiantly a very light brown. She then added mascara which covered my eyelids Andy was smudged down my cheek (I did not realize this until I was in the car on the way home.). There was also dark eyeshadow in the inner corners of my eyes and smudged down. She added way too much blush and to fix it covered it up with more foundation. I asked about fake eyelashes and she said she had never done them before so I was like ok defiantly no. Then for lipstick, she chose an orange color that obviously would clash with my red dress that I also showed her a picture of. Overall, my hair was ok and my makeup was awful. The second I got home I took off all my makeup and redid it myself. Two of my friends also went to this same place. One of them said no foundation was used on her and she also looked so bad she had to redo her makeup right when she got home. The funny thing was her updo looked almost identical to mine. We showed completely different pictures but somehow ended up with a "universal updo" even though she had a different lady. Another one of my friends had the same lady as i and her eyebrows were too different colors and black eyeshadow. All of our hair turned out good enough to keep, but not great. Overall, I would nit recommend. Maybe they are better at just hair cuts but they did not do a great job with prom hair and makeup.
