I needed a 2 year storage unit for my vehicle. I show up and Im told I need to sign a contract and pay for one month up front before I can even look at the unit... I told the lady that I just wanted to make sure my vehicle would fit in the 10X20, but again she said that was not possible without first signing a contract. Sorry but Im not in the business of signing and paying for things without examining them first. Business must be pretty good for them tho, if they are letting a 2 year contract walk out the door. If you are trying to get storage, save your time and go with someone else who is actually helpful and will show you what you are about to pay for.

I have rented a few storage garages so I do feel I have something to compare my experience to. The unit we rented leaked worse than any other rental unit I have been. As a result, make sure you dont store valuable goods there. I was also told the units were rented on a pro-rated basis. Thus, if I left before my month was up, I would get the remainder. However, when I moved out this was not the case. As a result, I paid for a months rent when I had the unit for 9 days. Overall, I cannot recommend MIG as a storage place. It would not be hard to find a more secure facility with better constructed units.
