Stay away. Incompetence, and attempted rip off. I recently had a timing belt go on me, and tossed my car their way to see how much it would cost. They quoted me at $1000 to do only the timing belt and spark plugs. They were asking for more than double the cost any other shop would ask to do the timing belt. To compare that to other quotes, most shops ask for about 3 hours labor on the timing belt, and $80 in parts. $400-$600 from any other shop. Grossly inflated. I wouldnt be writing this if that was the extent of the problem. The issue I had was the tech didnt know about the car he was working with. He claimed my engine was an interference engine, and he said "I cant promise it will run after the work is done". Catch is Im not "Suzy Homemaker". I know better. To give some needed back-story, an "interference" engine will be massively damaged 90% of the time if the timing belt breaks. A non-interference engine will run just fine. Mine is a non-interference engine. Not only does that show the technician had no idea what he was talking about, and wanted to just "cash in" on a customer, they wanted to do additional elective work when replacing the timing belt. Why would you do elective work (fixing a minor coolant leak) when there is only a 10% chance appx that the car will RUN PROPERLY EVER AGAIN? (I did it myself. A dirty Saturday spent, and under $200 in parts later, all problems fixed.)

Went in for a brake job. The fixed the damaged caused by sticking calipers. Unfortunately, their cleaning of the calipers didnt work and by the end of the week, I went in on a Monday, my caliper had stuck closed breaking one of the new brake pads, and damaging one of the new rotors. I know what your thinking, "how didnt you know your caliper was stuck closed?" well, I attributed the additional drag I was experiencing the second I left their parking lot to post repair paranoia and as a benign byproduct of newly functional rear brakes. Then, on Friday, the noises started. I spent 650 in their shop, and another 780 at my usual Mechanic. Talk about ruining a holiday weekend; awkward family conversations have nothing on this. That said, you can see they have plenty of good reviews, they had a quick turn around time, and were pleasant to deal with. I had bad experience with a mechanic in California, another Midas now that I think about it, wherein they replaced a lot of parts, but never solved the problem I brought the car in for, leading to a blown head gasket. This place gave me Déjà vu. But, again, theyre clearly working out for some people and I wish them the best.

Dishonest Unethical Cons! They ripped me off for $50!! I had an appointment with Precision behind them & didnt realize there were 2 mechanics shops there. Instead of informing me of this & that I did not have an appointment with them, they took my car, charged me $50 to check it then quoted double what Precision quoted me to fix it. I later found that my appointment was NOT with them so I had to pay them on top of Precision cost to fix it. That was Nathan by the way that was responsible for that transaction. Dont Go Here. If you want dishonest people working on your car who will charge DOUBLE what other mechanics are charging, ask for Nathan at Midas

If you want an HONEST place to do work on your car, then choose New Hope Midas. They have gone above and beyond for me as a customer. Worked with manufacturer to warrant a just out of warranty part. This last visit had me check with my Chrystler warranty to make sure power steering hose are covered and provide me the estimate for them to have for the parts. This place is about providing customer service and doing a good job on their work. As long as Nate stays there, I will continue to bring my cars and refer anyone I know to Midas New Hope.

The most honest shop I have been to in a long time. I had a receiver hitch installed by another shop too far away to return to once the exhaust started rattling up against it. So I googled exhaust places close to home and found this place, made a call and asked if they could fit me in. 15 minutes later I arrived, they took me right in and within 10 minutes they were done. All they had to do was bend one bracket and the best part... they didnt even charge me! I know where I will be taking my cars from now on!

The people are rude. I dont know much about cars and I had a lot of questions and they were just rude about everything. All I wanted was an understanding of how to take care of my car better and the things that needed to be taken care of. The prices are nice but customer service is just as important to me and they need help in that department . I dont appreciate the staff here at all. I will never give them my business again.

I have been a customer of New Hope Midas for about 7 years. They are excellent. They are very honest, and will tell you if something needs to be fixed right away, or if you can wait a bit. I have always been very happy with the work they have done for me. They stand behind their work.

Not a friendly customer experience call. I would not talk with Nathan! We use to bring our cars to this location and to my surprise the mechanic we liked is no longer there. If he hadnt been so rude on the phone I would have brought in my Denali in anyway. Calling Minnetonka instead!

Great experience! They were very friendly and super fast with my oil change. Good price too. Im always leery about mechanics taking advantage of my low car knowledge but I didnt get that impression here.

The price was extremely too high exhaust leak on a brand new muffler they wanted to charge me a total of $350 to repair exhaust leak with three three clamps
