They worked on my Durango and did an excellent job. It was a couple weeks before Christmas and truck started with the horrible knocking sound of at least one collapsed lifter. A friend and co-worker recommended Eagle Lake BP because they always did good work on his vehicles. I had the truck towed to Eagle Lake BP where after their initial review they found two bad lifters. I asked them to replace all the lifters and as long as the heads were off have them shaved and rebuilt. They had the truck ready for us before Christmas, we use it to make the annual trip to the parents and in-laws in northern Minnesota. And the price, considering the amount of work done (it was a 5.7 HEMI, 32 valves, 16 spark plugs), was surprisingly, much less than I thought it would have been. That was Christmas of 2011 and the truck still runs great. Also, that friend that recommend Eagle Lake BP, he and his wife still take their cars there for service.

I had my thermostat fixed here and the experience was awful. If you have any chance to go somewhere else, do that. The thermostat broke again after two months which wasnt even the worst part. I could at least understand if they misdiagnosed/under-diagnosed a problem. The stink of it was they cross threaded a screw when repairing it and then when I asked them to get it out, they said they would and got it to me the next day. When my thermostat broke again, I took it to a different shop and they said that the cross-threaded screw had never been fixed which cost me an extra hundred dollars. I did not appreciate being lied to by the mechanic and the manager. Take your car somewhere else because they may rip you off.

Look elsewhere. I broke down on the way to work and was able to limp the car into the station. They were able to diagnose the cause within an hour, and provide a quote. I called around and was able to get another quote at 80% of what Eagle Lake BP quoted. I ended up getting my vehicle fixed at BP, but shop around before stopping here if possible. Endurance south on 169 offers cheaper labor, where BP was charging $150+ an hour for labor. Ive been told by others as well after sharing my experience that theyve been upset with service or cost from here as well. They are able to prey upon your troubles with their current location.
