I encountered a delivery person driving vehicle # 2210211 owned by the United State Postal Services (USPS), around 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 07, 2016. The delivery person (a Caucasian male approximately 5’10” tall) dropped off a package in front of the garage (where the rain was definitely falling on the package) of my neighbor around 10:55 am instead of the porch which would have prevented the package from being damaged by the rain. I was on my way to work when I saw what he had done. In order to prevent the delivery guy (and USPS) from receiving negative complaints (and probably avoidable cost of refunds) from angry customers, I turned around and followed the delivery person so I can advise him on how to better handle his job. Upon honking to get his attention and/or talk to him, first, he looked at me with a funny face and shouted “what”? I told him that I just saw him deliver a package in front of my neighbor’s garage where the rain would definitely damage the package. I also informed him that he had done the same thing yesterday by leaving my wife’s packages in our walkway and that when we picked up the packages around 11:50 am, the packages were very wet. Fortunately, the content on the inside of the package was wrapped in plastic preventing the content from being damaged. Instead of the driver, at least, acknowledging my advice and maybe saying thank you, he looked at me, again, with funny face and drove off. So, I drove to the post office responsible for our subdivision (located at 9705 45th Ave N, Plymouth, MN 55442) to complain to the branch manager. Upon getting to the post office and waiting about 6 minutes to be attended to by the clerk, I was told that neither of the 2 supervisors on duty was available. I was informed that the 2 supervisors may be our delivering packages. One would think that, in a situation where the Republican US Congress is trying so hard to privatize the USPS, and companies such as FedEx and UPS are more customer-focused and business-minded and the delivery people for those companies would leave packages on porches (where the packages are safe from rain & snow and other elements), employees of USPS would be more sensitive and exhibit common sense instead of being careless (by leaving valuable packages in the rain thereby ruining packages entrusted to them), inconsiderate and insensitive (by mishandling other people’s packages), and rude (even when you try to help them by offering reasonable advices on how to better do their jobs). Instead of spending millions of dollars running TV advertisements, maybe the management at USPS should spend some of that money on training their delivery people and staff on how to be more business-minded by treating other people’s package with care and not costing USPS money that may result from lawsuit or refunds for damaged goods.

The US Postal worker located at 9705 45th Ave N Plymouth, MN, by the name Michelle, is by far the rudest supervisor Ive ever had to deal with. After answering her list of questions and listening to her reasons for why my mail was potentially undeliverable, she insisted on telling me to be quiet and let her finish before I could even explain my situation. She then hangs up on me, and denies ever hanging up, and yet again, hangs up on me a second time. I believe this person needs to be retrained and has no right treating customers the way she treated me. And in no way should a professional bicker with a customer. If you want professional assistance, bypass the miserable supervisor and ask to speak to the manager.

Great post office for the most part -- but three days ago, after a snow / ice storm the night before, the parking lot had NOT been salted or sanded, this by mid afternoon -- cars were spinning their wheels trying to move to get in and out, and people were having trouble getting from their car to the building. Several elderly people needed help (from other customers), at least one person fell that I saw, and the post office guy said they were out of salt. Something should have been done -- even sending an employee to the hardware down the street to get a bag for at least the sidewalks -- or the parking lot should have been closed. That was a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I went in mailing a package to South Korea, it was 4:55 pm, i had nothing ready, i couldnt get in any sooner, cause of my job, a gal whose name was Minia was very patient with me, i had apologized for being so late, and she made a wisecrack and we both laughed. They have to try to sell tape i guess, unless its going priority, then they give you tape. All in all, i spent way less than Fedex, or UPS, who i think charge for breathing oxygen in their stores, its ridiculous, bottom line i got good service for a cheaper price although i had to prepare my package myself. Ill go back there ANYTIME!

Normally this is a great location which is never too busy. However, the last time I was there, I arrived at 4:55 PM. The manager was locking the door and wouldnt let us in, saying they closed at 5:00 PM, even though their own clock showed that it wasnt yet closing time. He claimed that it would take too long to get through the current customers in line so they turned away at least 4 people PRIOR to closing time and locked us out. This is unacceptable business practice and extremely disappointing.

On December 21st, mailed package requesting delivery by Dec. 24th. I confirmed it will arrive on 24th and they said yes. Was not delivered until the 27th. This office told me a rule they did not tell me when I made the purchase. Priority Mail 2 day is not guaranteed. The woman quoted a USPS no-refund rule if not delivered on time. That was not told to me when making the purchase. She kept repeating the rule and then hung up on me. Bring back Keith, a good customer service person.

Just moved from Minneapolis, I ship packages daily (sell stuff online), I was sooooo hoping these guys in Plymouth would know what theyre doing (acceptance, adding insurance etc)... NO CLUE!!!! It is SOOOOOOO frustrating having to explain to USPS workers what to do, they know nothing about their "new system we got" or how to use it. Looks like I will have to be driving 40mins to my old post office daily to get packages out... This-is-ridiculous!!!

Horrible place! I have used the express machine many times to buy postage and have never had a problem. This time, I used the machine to buy postage, then I got a letter saying I didnt pay enough postage and the package was returned to me, but I had to go pick it up at the post office. When I arrived there, they said they didnt know where it was, but would call me if it shows up. No apology, no help, no customer service in the least.
