I rented a unit at Public Storage for 1 year. I will never go back, and do not recommend this company. Everyone on their staff, from the clerks and Store Manager, to the district manager Ryan Nelson is dishonest, untrustworthy, and lacking communication skills at best. Over my lease, I made numerous trips to drop off/pick things up as needed, never noticing anything out of the ordinary. Upon move-out however, I discovered nearly half of the garage was saturated with liquid leaking under the divider from a neighboring unit, which in turn soiled many of my belongings with mold. Public Storage requires you to purchase rental insurance through an outside agency, whom Im still waiting for a response from. I cancelled my lease, cleaned and moved of the garage before the last day of my lease. On move-out day, I was charged for the upcoming months rent. I was denied a refund from the manager who claimed I needed to cancel auto-pay, and was informed that the unit which I had been renting, and technically still renting, was now being rented to another customer simultaneously. District Manager, Ryan Nelson however claims the reason for being denied a refund was lack of move-out notice. Either way, we all know this is not how to sustain a business.

I would highly recommend NOT doing business with Public Storage!! Had an awful experience at the Rosemount location- Mary, the only person who was ever available for anything, is extremely unprofessional and seems to not quite understand what is going on. She had no comment when I found spiders and other random bugs in my storage unit ON my belongings, which was disgusting. She also called me up one day to let me know that I was late on my payment and went ahead and cut the lock on my unit.... Turns out she had the wrong unit number. I was LIVID- Ive never been late paying a damn thing and had all of my belongings compromised for who knows how long while the lock was cut. To top off the experience she tried making me pay for a new lock. I was able to get the situation rectified via the corporate office and moved out of that property shortly after. I then tried renting with the Apple Valley location and got nothing but the run around on pricing and availability from the 1-800 number when I questioned the price I was being quoted over the phone vs. the prices listed online. Theyve shown me what an unprofessional business theyre running... Id rather just sell everything and start over than give them another penny!

Positives: Property Manager Mary was knowledgeable and polite on the phone and in person. The units and property are clean and in good shape. The front office is small but inviting. Public Storage has decent monthly pricing and features a "first month for $1" special. If you live in Apple Valley or Rosemount, its located in a quiet and safe neighborhood. I like how Public Storage is month to month, without a contract. Also, youre able to pay your bill through a number of mediums (online, auto pay, in person, mail, etc.) which is convenient. Negatives: There is a one time $20 "administration fee", you pay $17 for their required cylinder lock, and you do have to get their $11 per month insurance. Ive never had a storage unit before this, however, so Im assuming this is the case at all storage facilities.

Mary has been outstanding with her help at this location. I have rented storage lockers at other Public Storage facilities, but Mary far exceeds any other location in helping her customers with their needs and making sure they are completely satisfied. She is truly one of a kind. The office has anything you need in regards to packing supplies. I cannot thank Mary enough for assisting me with my transition to this facility from another one with far less customer service or concern for their customers satisfaction. Thanks so much Mary!!

Tested and true. I received excellent customer service at this location. Mary easily exceeded all of my expectations while remaining not only patient and kind, but also rather cheerful. She seems like a very warm-hearted person. Thanks to her and Sue (the nice lady who called to confirm my reservation) for their excellent assistance. I could tell they both cared about me not just as a customer but also as a human being, and I truly appreciated that.

the people were great in helping chose how big of storage units I needed. Mary was polite helpful and professional and explained all to me from the security to the billing. Sue helped me when my moving truck went the wrong way and called me to follow up on how my move went and told me to call if I had any problems. The units were clean and roomy for what I had to store. Great Place for storage needs.

Setting up a reservation was super simple. At the office, paperwork was quick and simple and Sue was very professional. She showed me the storage unit before paperwork to make sure it was the size I needed and reviewed with me how to work the locks and gate code. I dropped my stuff off in the storage unit knowing my items were safe. I would recommend Rosemount public storage to everyone!

I couldnt have asked for a better experience. It was so easy - from reserving the unit online to coming into the office to finish paperwork, etc. The property is super-clean as well as the unit. Mary was very friendly and accommodating, especially since I had to reschedule multiple times. The office is well stocked in any moving supplies you could possibly need.

I originally dealt with Mary and she has been very helpful in my selecting the right storage to meet our needs. She is both knowledgeable and friendly and very nice to deal with. Patrician used to work at this location and she was awesome. I think she works at the Bloomington store now. Mary who now runs Rosemount is so great and caring so Im glad she is going to keep working here. Also a lady named Angie who works there some days has good sales skills. Convinced me that I needed more boxes then I thought... she was right! Thanks all!

So far, so good, but Ill need to report on the storage experience after I have been using the facility for a while down the road. Mary did I very nice job explaining everything, answering our questions, and walking us through the entire setup process. Who doesnt appreciate great customer service; thanks again to Mary for making the process simple and easy.

*Beware- management will not pro-rate monthly rent if you leave storage unit early or issue renter a refund *Beware- storage access unit till only 9 PM *Beware- storage unit leaks and will be covered in dirty, dust, etc.. Moved my stuff out of my space 10 days early hoping for a pro-rated refund and the owner/manager tried to belittle me for my request.

Sue was very helpful and answered all my questions and being the winter time, Sue made sure after we had looked at the unit that she would go out and make sure it was shoveled and sanded before we started moving stuff in that day!!
