The cuts were fine but... My daughters and I went in to get a haircut close to 8pm. The lady cutting my hair asked what we were up to and I told her we had just finished dinner and needed to get cuts and were running a few errands quick. OK. But then she made a snudy comment about me running errand so close to bed time. Both the ladies cutting my and my daughters hair treated me like I dont know how to handle children because Im guy. One checked my diaper bag for toys and was surprised there wasnt any. Every great clips Ive been to before has at least one toy to keep children busy. I felt like telling them I raised my children by my self as a single father and know a thing or two about taking care of kids. Im sorry, but I got home from work, picked my kids up, cooked dinner, and then we had to get haircuts and run a few quick errands. I dont need to hear snide comments and be treated sexist because Im a guy. Any single parent knows, especially in the twin cities where traffic is horrible, most people dont tend to get home until after 6, and then it takes time to cook your family a dinner and to eat. There isnt much free time to get daily things done until kids are in bed and I cant leave my kids at home alone ladies. Maybe next time theyll treat a guy with kids the same as they would a woman with kids. One lady even said, "father of the year there." Ive never been to a great clips with such condescending people working there. Im noticing this shallow attitude is typical of the Prior Lake area. I wont be going back there. Ill try a great clips in a different city.

Gave this location TWO chances. First time I walked in every thing seemed kosher. Four older ladies working, I expected to get a decent hair cut hoping they combined had over 100 years of experience. CLEARLY was mistaken! I have a MOW HAWK. Its around 13 inches long now. Meaning pull to one side BUZZ, pull to the next BUZZ walk out the door. 35 minutes into the first attempt of this lady figuring out how to manage TRIMMING an already shaped mow hawk - I stood up PAID and drove to a DIFFERENT GREAT CLIPS location where they asked and I quote " Was the lady who did this drunk..." The other day I attempted AGAIN to use this location. To my surprise the same WRETCHED PERSON ( 52 Blonde SKINNY 40-50s) is working at the location. I was willing to give another gal there a chance however. She cut my GFs hair. We went in for a trim, and 10 minutes later where USHERED out of the door with half completed bangs. We DID NOT GO the other location to fix it, I paid FANTASTIC SAMS to do it right the first time. As a child whos stomach was fed by the profits my mother made at a great clips location,AS A STYLIST.... I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME at ANY or WITH ANY COMPANY AFFILIATED with GREATCLIPS

I came in this Saturday, August 8th around 8:30am to have my 5 year old son get his hair cut for his uncles graduation party. I had a woman name Kristin, now she did a good job on his hair but I did not tip her. Why? Because, I watched while she cut his hair and she barely even spoke to him besides to ask how old he was. She was not enthusiastic, she lacked energy, and she was completely quiet. It was already awkward and hard enough for a 5 year old to get their hair cut by someone whom he does not know but to have that person not even talk to you just makes it that much worse. I know when I get my hair done I appareciate a conversation. If you are in the beauty business, be chipper, be happy and for gods sake, SMILE! If I ever go back to this location I will not ask for her, ever. Maybe it was cause it was too early, or maybe she was not having a good day, but dont show it to others, especially a mother who is watching you interact with her child.

I went to get my haircut due to having to leave town on short notice for a real estate deal. The moment I walked in, I should have known to turn around. One of the workers smelled really bad to the point where you could smell her from five feet away. I believe her name was Michaila. Thank God that I didnt have to get my haircut by her however. I had a stylist named Shar and all I asked for was a simple 2 on the sides and 3 on the top. It took this woman 45 minutes to do this! On top of that she messed up and did a 2 on the top! I had to get my hair re-done at this point. There is nothing redeeming about this establishment. I wouldnt let my worst enemy get a haircut here. It is just so unprofessional. (Stylists eating on the floor while cutting hair, for instance).

Excellent salon under new management, Carol (manager)takes care of clients and really knows her haircuts. Best haircut of any of the Chains Ive ever received, and it is great time and time again. Review is post new management taking over (after September 7th review below)

Always a good cut, fast and friendly! I usually tip 40-50% because I save so much damn money going here.
