Husband got me a gift card worth one massage and one facial. I called to schedule and the gift card they sold my husband aperintly only works at the slow time of the day before 12 pm Monday to Thursday. It cost over $100. They said it was only enoght for one massage and i had to pay more if i wanted a facial on the weekend or after 12pm. The facial its self was done very well and the lady doing it was nice, but she kept trying to sell more stuff during the facial. For only $20 more i can use better products and so on. I felt like it was already being over charged and now getting a facial with the cheapest products that they have. My face felt oily the rest of the day. I ended up purchasing a night cream. On the derections it says after u was ur face apply this cream for 15 minuets then was it off ur face. It makes no sence to me why would you wash a face cream off ur face. It was also expensive. The woman doing my facial recomended it. I didnt understand that i would be washing this cream off after 15 minuets. So today i came in to use the other portion on the gift card. Not impressed with Customer service at the front desk for this reson will never go back. Got a prenatal massage. The girl doing the massage was very nice, but it was cold in the office and because of that she had cold hands the entire time and the lotion was cold. The bed was heated and nice. After the massage by the time i was dressed i was freezing. When leaving the office i noticed the front desk women where dressed to stay worm with a heater on the floor.

My husband and I came in for a couples massage over July 4th weekend. After reading the reviews we were a little hesitant to book our massages here but since we had a giftcard, it was convenient for our pockets. All the way from booking the appointment - The front desk representative was very helpful and friendly. We have never had a couples massage before so I wasnt really sure how to go about it - She made the process EXTREMELY easy. She asked me what our wants and needs are and ended up booking us with the best therapists possible. Coming into the spa we were both greeted with a friendly smile and offered water. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and let us know what to expect before heading back to the room. We saw Annie and Kelly - They were very accommodating and the massages felt amazing. We were a little scared about the "salesy pitch" at the end that everyone has "warned" us about - But it wasnt salesy at all, and we ended up signing up for their Dual Membership. The membership benefits were explained in full and we both ended up rebooking - We will be back next month for another couples massage with Kelly and Annie. Thanks!

I have been a savings plan member for over a year and never had an experience like this last one. Usually the massages are great but this time I didnt even get this far. I scheduled a couples massage a week in advance and upon our arrival they did not even have the appointment scheduled or even under my name they had it under my significant others name who is not even a member (which was also entered totally wrong) and not me. This was frustrating but what made things worse was nothing was done to try and alleviate the situation. The front desk clerk displayed no eye contact or sympathy about the mistake about I am very disappointed at the customer service and how it was handled the front staff just told us they dont have the appointment down and we would just have to call and reschedule. There are multiple problems overall with this experience. Even if a mistake happens which I understand it does but have solutions on the side to try and alleviate this frustration. So after a cool off period of me (the member) being livid I attempted to call and reschedule twice and I get an answering machine. Please fix this.

Ive been part of the health savings program for several years now. Whenever I try to make an appointment to use the services Im paying for I can never get in. They are always booked and are difficult to try and schedule with. I was supposed to have a couples massage today and had to cancel due to an emergency. When I called I was informed I would be charged $35 per massage. I informed the receptionist theres no way I could have come in due to the emergency and she informed me I would be charged then. I would have liked to know when the policy changed to charging people $35 for cancelling with less than a 24 hour notice. In October Ill have had my health savings plan for 3 years. Its not like Im a new customer. Its bad enough Im paying $60 a month and have a difficult time trying to make appointments but now they change the policy and dont inform their existing customers.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT use Massage Retreat and Spa. Do not sign for their membership. You will regret it. Their sales tactics are largely bait-and-switch. They dont take notes on your complaints or preferences (aches, surgeries, types of therapist, appointment bookings), and they dont tell you about the non-refundable payments they take from you. Even if the service is not provided. Even if you find bruises on your back the next day. They charge you again unless you know about the immediate cancellation and request it specifically in writing. But they will stonewall and bounce you back and forth first. Im out $385 they are unwilling to refund for services not used, due to awful customer service, mixups, etc.

I usually have a great experience. Unfortunately my last experience was the worst massage Ive ever had. He seemed new which was fine at first but his pressure was soo hard, I asked several times for less pressure but I still had bruises the following day. It was very clear that he had not been properly trained. He also had bad hygiene, I could smell his breath and arm pits throughout my whole massage. I have never written a bad review but I just dont want anyone one else to go through what I went through. His name was Chris as the Savage location, my hope is for him to receive some better training and realize the importance of hygiene when youre in customers personal spance

As a former employee, I can honestly say this place was the worst. Not to mention they bribe their staff to leave good reviews in attempt to hide the bad ones. That alone should be a red flag and make you not want to go here. Without all of the 5 star EMPLOYEE reviews, (which is about 75% of the reviews on here) This establishment would average about 1.5 stars. Stay far away. None of the good reviews within the past couple months have been left by actual clients. Only the bad ones are actual clients which is extremely laughable. Stay far away from Massage Retreat and Spa. You would be much better off going to Massage Envy, Hand and Stone, or Elements Massage.

I bought a pre-paid year membership for my wife for massages. The first 3 or 4 were pretty good and subsequently they have gone down hill to the point where she doesnt want to go back. The therapist was rushed, and was not at all attentive. When confronted with the experience issues, the manager was more concerned that we follow their procedures to cancel the membership. She didnt seem to care about the service level, or poor experience. With an average of only 3 stars, my wife is not the only one that have had poor experiences.
