1) Lets start with the security doors. If you have a penny or even just a strong fingernail, you can turn the lock and walk right in. plus there was no chain on the units door, when we asked for one, the office staff said they dont use those just in case of emergencies, they will be able to enter your apartment. 2) When we first checked out the apartments, we went during the day time. Big mistake! Everything seems so peaceful and pleasant but once work and school gets out, chaos ensues. Dont even think about getting a parking spot after 5:30pm. While your driving around looking for an alternate spot, be careful for all the unruly kids and the hordes of geese. These things tie into the 3) appearance. When you go, you will see work being done around the premises most of the time but dont be fooled, its just because they never finish the projects! I understand that they want the place to look good, the reason being because the substance is not there once you make the mistake of signing the lease. 4) The office staff are incredibly rude. At first I thought they were professional but I soon learned otherwise. I actually got them to replace my dishwasher which wasnt installed right, then the office staff accused me of damaging it and causing it to flood.- When they were showing my apartment before my move out, they do not give reasonable notice that they will be showing it. Unless you consider eight minutes reasonable, the time it takes to walk from the office to my unit. Its not fun to have the staff walk in while your sleeping(3rd shift worker) and show a random family your apartment while your in your boxers. 5) The maintenance staff is alright. If stuff doesnt get fixed its not there fault. When I requested someone come fix the new dishwasher, the office staff argued with me and said that they already sent a guy. My wife is a stay at home mom and she never saw anyone enter to fix a thing. Even maintenance man himself admitted he was never at my unit. When the actually do get the order to fix something, it does get taken care of. Atleast in my experience. 6) The unit itself, is much at better on the initial visit. Once you live there for a month or two and realize that there is drafts coming from each window, cigarette smells coming through the bathroom vents and walls and see all the carpet beetles, You dont get that good of a picture anymore. Not to mention finding a dozen nails, carpet staples and tacks through out the shag carpet. Really good environment for a toddler. 7) Not to much noise. Kids running down the halls, weekend night parties and train routes. To be expected at any apartment. The most annoying thing tho is the 6am to 2pm geese squawking during the summer. Overall...not worth your time. They offer you a special upon moving in that says a $200 security deposit with a 12 month lease. That is because they know you wont take them to court after they screw you out of your deposit after leaving. Court fees cost more than that. So be prepared not to get it back. Which really isnt fair seeing as how they dont even do a final walk thru with you. Big scam!! They offer specials all the time to keep tricking people to come in because there is such a high turnover rate at this place, due to the horrible experience. Worst residence of my life. Trust me. Dont rent here!!

This place seems nice, until you meet the people behind the scenes. I rented here for one year. It was all going ok until one day I received a note that said I had not paid rent for the month of January, which I had. It was marked in my checkbook. They wanted an extra $50 for a late fee. I declined to provide that since I had already paid rent on time. They harassed me for this, I refused, and it eventually went away. Or so I thought (youll see later). I had a leak in my roof, and lived on the top floor. I complained multiple times, and finally had to go around the building and discover what was wrong with it myself, there was a huge hole in the side of the building pecked out by a woodpecker. Their maintenance did not notice this and my apartment leaked for over 2 weeks when it rained. They then blamed me for not telling them sooner... When the time came to put in our notice to vacate, my roommate and I did so. However, a week or two later, we received a notice saying that because we didnt notify them that wed be leaving, we must STAY AN ENTIRE YEAR LONGER. We could sublease it potentially, but they basically claimed we had resigned the lease for another year by not notifying them(which we did...). I Argued this, of course. I was going back to college and had no intention of staying anywhere in the area. Theyre office staff was extremely rude, and eventually I talked with Harvey Filister himself, the owner of the property. He treated me like I was some insolent little child. He swore at me and insulted me, and told me hed see me in court if I didnt pay him the 10+ grand for the years worth of leasing. Thankfully, my father was equally upset by this and we ended up hiring a lawyer who found that there was no way they could force us to pay that. We never even had to go to court, but I went through hell with those people to get out of there. NOW the jerk has us on the record as being evicted. Whenever I go to apply for a place to live, I must tell this entire story and hope they understand. Some do, some dont. I would never, EVER, recommend living here.

It definitely could have been better. The move in itself was pretty legit, they were very helpful getting us in there. Upon the move in inspection our apartment was filthy, to say the least. There was TONS of dust on the ceilings above the ceiling fans in the kitchen and both bedrooms, the window sills were horribly dirty and screens falling out, the tile floor looked like it had never been washed a day in its life, the outlet covers were never removed or taped off prior to them painting, and cabinets were riddled with backsplash of filth. We were told numerous things were going to be fixed once we were settled ie. our countertop had a huge circular burn from the previous residents, there was an edging in the bathroom tub that needed caulking severely. I highly doubt our carpets had ever been cleaned, because as soon as our kids were there in bare feet, their feet were black. Our vehicles had been rummaged through countless times. The hallways reek of cigarettes and weed. Since living here for 6 months, we have found old blunt roaches under the heaters, along with having morphine fall out of them from bumping them while vacuuming. And just recently found a giant bud in the room where my kids slept on the very top shelf (where we didnt think to check upon move in) and I only found it while moving their toys off the shelf. I mean, unless all that sounds appealing to you just dont waste your time. It could have been better had the apartment not been complete and total filth along with the drug ridden building.

This place is the worst! First off they never return your phone calls especially once u are a resident. Also my storage locker was broken into along with many other units it my building and nothing was ever done! I requested thats fliers be passed out so that other residents in my building could replace their locks that had been cut and see what was missing of theirs and I never received anything or a response. Now my car was just towed because they wanted to plow the lots and I asked why I was not givin a phone call first and the mangers response (Erin) was "I dont know". if u want to live in a place where the management dont care about you at all then come live here!
