Skip this place. Period. I took some mens dress shirts here for laundering and pressing. The owner lady wouldnt stop ranting about how they starched things. Somehow she thought Id asked for her to only starch collars and that they didnt do that,,, "all or nothing,, all or nothing....." She wouldnt stop bitching long enough to hear me explain that Id hadnt asked for that. I should have taken this as a cue that the place wasnt up to par but left my shirts anyway. When I picked up the shirts I complained they hadnt gotten the collar ring stains out. The same cranky women blamed me for the stains and that it was my fault for not getting them cleaned sooner. Two of the shirts were new and this was the first laundering. Not only were the collar stains now permanently ironed into the fabric but these folks managed to screwed up the collar and move the crease, so what used to be on the inside was now a stain on the outside. I told her I wouldnt be back. She said "Good. I dont want your business!" Its amazing folks like this can stay in business at all.

DO NOT GO HERE. Had a similar experiences to other customer who gave this place a "0." Ornery woman (owner, I assume) told me to take my shirts home and re-iron them myself when I pointed out that the button plackets were so mangled I couldnt even button them. Rug with dog pee on it that I paid them $100 to clean came back with dog pee stains still on it that I was able to remove myself with a damp rag and some Simple Green. Dress that HAD NEVER BEEN WORN that I took in to be pressed came back with weird brown spots on the front (chemical burns?); she denied any responsibility and when I said, "I wont be bringing you any more of my business," she responded "we dont want customers like you anyway." She then followed me out to my car screaming at me and berating me for speaking ill of their services. This is NOT a cultural difference unless you consider expecting quality results and non-abusive service a cultural difference.

I sometimes have a hard time going there as well because I can also feel scolded for the stains on my clothes. I never know the chemical makeup of the compound of the stain. Im sorry, but I have bigger problems in my life to worry about than to track or remember the chemical composition of my stains let alone those of my husband who is often clueless they are there. In their defense the are THE most competent dry cleaner I have ever worked kmoen. The wife is a total Magician. I have never had a stain to date she cannot fix perfectly or a ball gown or dress she cannot press to perfection (and I have had some doozies including a very expensive blood soaked white worsted wool jacket I was positive was a goner. If you can get past her questions their work is truly parallel to none.

Ill agree that the service here is eccentric, but everything always comes back clean. The owners are, if memory serves, Ukrainian, and I find the Soviet-style service perhaps the best part of the experience. The wife will often comment on the stains, muse about how it might have happened, and will scold, chide, cajole, and lecture about how I should take better care of my clothing. However, it seems to come from a spirit of concern for the clothing, and is not accusatory or malicious, but almost maternal. She actually cares about your clothing, and how many other dry cleaners can you say that about? Take a moment to chat and get to know them, ask them how business is, etc., and you will find them to be quite friendly. And your clothes will come back clean, as well.

Midtown is the best cleaners in the St. Paul/Roseville area. I have had several formal dresses ruined at other cleaners in the area, once I started using Midtown I went no where else. I also brought my wedding dress that my mom made and they did an amazing job. Dont worry about the cultural differences the other reviewer was commenting on. These folks really know their business.

I have never been treated so horrible in my life. I took pants to get taken in and the woman told me to come back after I washed them. In the meanest way possible. They had a little bit of dog hair on them because the inside was fleece but they were clean. Dont go there if you want to be treated nicely and respectfully.
