So, I work in Earth City and was looking for a nearby cleaners to drop off some shirts to be steamed for an event that I have this Thursday. The first name that pops up is American Cleaners, its about 3 miles from my job and they offered same day service! I went on to read the reviews and they were not good, I read about 8 and out of the 8 I saw 1 good review. Normally, I would pick another spot but being that I only wanted to get 3 items steamed I figured what could go wrong? I called the store so see if order could be processedfor same day and was told yes. I verified the pricing over the phone as well as to when I went to the store, explaining that I had just purchased the shirts over the weekend and that they still had the tags in them and I only wanted them steamed for an event. When I dropped them off the girl at the counter remembered speaking with me on the phone and proceeded to write my ticket up as we were looking at the shirts and I was again letting her know they em were brand new and had the tags. I told them that they could remove the tags if needed for steaming.? Well let me tell you what went wrong, I dropped the shirts off at 10 picked them up at roughly 430 and turned to walk out of the door and noticed that the white shirt had 3 ink marks in the back of it. I turned around and told the clerk who got another clerk and pulled the ticket. The two clerks discussed something which sounded like this was not the first time this clerk had this happen. Then they told me that the clerk wrote on the ticket that the shirt already had ink marks!!! They took the shirt out of the plastic and that is when I saw more ink markings in the front of the shirt and down by the cuff! I wad told I had to call back the next day to speak to someone in which I just got off the phone with the store. They told me that I have to call customer service. I informed her that after reading all those bad reviews I still gave them the benefit of the doubt only for them to have a dishonest employee. Why in the world would I buy a shirt with so many ink markings? The shirt was still in the bag and had been tried on at the store and did not leave the bag until I went to the cleaners! I am so pissed right now! I will neverify do business with them again simply because the clerk told a big bold lie! Im like come on lady its no matks, you work at a cleaners, it us your mistake so MAKE IT RIGHT! I feel I should have never saw those markings but instead they should have informed me of their mistake and let me know they ad to launder it to correct the mistake instead of lying about it. I wonder when folks will realize that a bad review is similar to a bad call to the BBB. Once you are known for bad business it will eventually effect your pockets...

I gave them four (4) expensive shirts on Oct 13, 2016 for laundry/dry cleaning. These were supposed to be returned on Oct 15th. But it’s been more than 2 weeks and I have not yet got my shirts back. I have gone to their store 6 times and called up their customer service more than 4 times, but every time I have been falsely told that they are locating my shirts, to come back after 2 days and/or someone will call me back in 24 hours. But they never call back. Now I am been told that they gave my shirts to another customer and I have to wait 30 days. They refuse to provide an email address where I can lodge a written complaint. The customer support person, Denise, is very rude and condescending. “Nothing”, was the blunt response I got from their staff at counter, Juylan, when I asked what I can do if they have lost my shirts or they are being used by someone else. Pathetic customer service and staff who lie every time and take no accountability.

This place is a dump and a racket. Do not use this service. I dropped off a suit for dry cleaning. When I picked it up and returned home I realized it was not my suit. The suit they gave me was moth eaten and three sizes too large, as if it had belonged to someone old or deceased. I was refused even an acknowledgement of the error and so now I am out one suit. I called the owner who obfuscated and effectively refused to even reimburse the cost of cleaning the suit, and there was no offer to compensate for the loss of the suit. There are plenty of other good cleaning services in the area.

Don’t be tempted with the cheap coupons! Most other drycleaners will accept American Cleaner coupons and do a much better job! I have had over 4 shirts returned to me with missing buttons that were there when I dropped them off and most recently, a shirt was returned to me with a black stain on the shoulder. When I sent it back twice, not only could they not get the stain out that they put on there, they refused to do anything about it. Very disappointed with the outcome and would not recommend them to anyone.

Have used them for many years. The other day I downloaded the Money Mailer coupon app. Went in and showed them their online coupon with the redemption procedure...the response was we can only accept the printed coupon...cant figure out why they would advertise like this then not honor...is this deceptive? Guess its time to find a new dry cleaner.

Arrived at 7:55. Lights on, door open, walked in and was greeted with "sir we are closed". They would not write a ticket for the 4 shirts I wanted to drop off. After years of weekly drop-offs, Im hesitant to ever return after this horrible customer service.

Took 3 shirts there to get laundered and pressed. One shirt had ripple marks in it from a bad press they didnt even bother to correct. The other shirt came back with stains on it! Terrible do not go here.

I have my husbands shirts laundered here every week. The staff knows me by name, nice service, and his shirts are always done how he likes, no complaints here!

Avoid at all costs! Drive the extra mile to another store. Had multiple problems with multiple orders. Customer service would not even listen to complaints.
