Her dry cleaning services are fine - her alterations and lack of professionalism is what is compelling me to post this review today. 1 - She is a one-woman shop and very rushed. When doing my alterations she only pinned up one side of my shirt and 2 dresses. She said she would match the alteration of the other side as per the measurement of the side she had pinned. She then rushed me out the door b/c someone was waiting for her to finish with me. A week later I got my dresses they were altered all wrong. She took in the hips rather then the waist. That was not what I was wanting by a LONG SHOT. 2 - Upon the revelation of the incorrect alterations I also noticed my shirt was missing so I called her to ask her if she had forgotten to give it to me. She claimed that I only brought in 2 dresses and my ticket said 2 dresses and that I never brought in the shirt. I double checked the ticket attached to the clear bag around my clothes. It did only say 2 dresses. This surprised me b/c I remember specifics about the fitting and pinning of the shirt that she claims I never gave her. I was very polite and calm when I asked her to please keep her eyes and ears open in case the shirt reappeared. She told me it wouldnt b/c I only brought in 2 dresses. At this point I let it go and double checked my house for the shirt with no luck. A week later I stopped by her shop to pick up one last item and I asked her (very politely) if my shirt had possibly reappeared. She got immediately defensive and raised her voice. Her behavior was shocking. She claimed that she couldnt and wouldnt have misplaced my shirt. That it was impossible. That the shirt wouldnt reappear because I never gave it to her. We went back and forth about this for 15-20 minutes. Me asking her to just keep an eye out for the shirt (just in case it was there or someone took it home and might be bringing it back soon) and her telling me I was 100%, without a doubt, wrong for even assuming she might have it because her system is so flawless that a mistake could never happen. I know for a fact that I gave her my shirt and I am upset with myself for not checking the ticket before I left that day. I am disappointed that I lost the shirt but Im even more upset that I was bullied and treated so inappropriately. In the end all I needed was a little sympathy and promise that she would at least keep an eye out for my shirt despite the unlikely event (according to her theory) that it would show up there. So lesson learned - to anyone who uses Young Cleaners at 1815 Zumbehl Rd St Charles MO, double check your ticket before leaving. Not the ticket she hands you (there is not quantity listed on that ticket) but the one she attaches to your clothes. I also advice anyone reading this: Be cautious when using her alteration services! THOROUGHLY explain what you want and dont let her rush you out the door. Finally, if there is ever a mistake, kiss your clothes good-bye and dont even bother talking to her because she is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. She is an amateur at handling issues and her only line of defense is to harass you until you go away.

I have been a returning customer fore years now and she is a hard working business owner and does her best to take care of her customers. I always forget to check my pockets and even if its just a couple of dollars that I would not even know was missing she always gives it back to me. She also fixes minor issues for free, i.e. I had some holes in my jeans pockets and asked if she could do anything about it and she fixed them for free. She has also fixed shirts with missing buttons for me as well. Overall a great dry cleaner that I recommend to everyone.

Fyi.. before you go here, they charge $1.75 PER Shirt for business shirts. Pretty outrageous considering you can get them done for $1.10/shirt a couple of miles away.
