Are you kidding me? This place is a joke. I brought my car in to have it inspected only because they are located in the mall parking lot and I was told it would take about 40min. I was called over an hour later at the mall and told that it failed and it would cost over $500 to fix something with the brakes before it could pass inspection. That seemed strange since not even a year ago I had new brakes put on the back and i wasnt told then that anything was wrong with the inner workings of the brakes. Of course he informed me he could tend to the problem. I said no thank you I will pick up my car. He continued to try to sell me and I respectfully declined. I walked back to the shop and was there for 30 minutes longer waiting for I dont know what while another employee tried to sell me on having them fix it even though I said no thanks numerous times. Then that salesman declared how beautiful my daughter was then insisted I speak with another employee who had been working on his fathers car for over 10 years. OH BROTHER!!! NO!!!! As soon as I got out of there I drove my car down the street and pulled into another automotive shop that inspected me in about 20 minutes and PASSED ME. Total crooks. When I got home I looked over the receipt because I had to pay for the inspection and besides the "$500 brake problem" they also had over $300 of suggestions for my car! Unbelievable. One of the fixer uppers was light bulbs. All of my lights work perfectly so I dont even know how they thought they were gonna pull that one off. Before 24 hours had even passed I had a message from Firestone on my phone wanting to know what I had decided about fixing my car. Surely nobody ever goes to them a second time right? Can I give negative 5 stars please

I waited a day before writing a review in order to calm down and be more objective. Yesterday was disheartening to say the least. Less than 20 minutes after getting behind the wheel of what is now the family car, I can see it needed an oil change, wipers, a blinker, and immediately at least 2 new tires. Lucky me, I have a flat on the way home to grab my father since this stuff is his Christmas, and need to tow to deal with it myself. It arrives at Firestone on a flatbed. I explain what happened and what needs to be done in addition to the tires. Im given an itemized quote and the process begins. Next thing I know the up sell comes. No I dont need an alignment, I just want what I asked for. Then hes back to tell me my check engine light is on. I asked him "Why?" and he says I will need diagnostics. I tell him "No, thats not what I meant. How and why would or could it be on when it wasnt on before I got here?" He tried to tell me I might have just not noticed it. I told him I would have. Next came the scare tactic of "Well you wouldnt want to be stranded at the side of the road. Has that ever happened to you because its not a good experience." I asked him if he remembered that my car came in on a flatbed and looked at him like he had 3 heads. Then the "just $20 for the bulb and Im going to align it anyway" ordeal.... No did not mean no. I even surpassed yelling and went to screaming that "NO! I DONT WANT YOU OR ANYONE ELSE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE AND THE BULB IS ON THE WORK ORDER SO IT WILL NOT BE $20 MORE!" Bottom line: If youre cash strapped, know a bit about cars, and are willing to bring in either reinforcements or simply call the police then by all means go for it. If you can go anywhere else, do so.

I have taken my cars to this Firestone for years for routine maintenance, tires, brakes, and oil changes. I thought they were doing a pretty good job up until this past year when I had complained that my brakes were acting up. I had them redone which came with a warranty so I brought it in to have them checked out. They continued to tell me that there was nothing wrong with my brakes, that they could not find anything wrong with my car and that I should continue driving on it to see if the problem continued and to come back in 30 days (my warranty would be up). Extremely irritated, I told them to just change my oil. Its now time to change my oil again and I lift the hood to see that my oil stick was SHOVED into where you check the oil level to the point where it is broke. Unless some random individual opened my hood and shoved the oil meter down and broke it, that leaves only the lovely people at this wretched Firestone. They are horrible and they damage your vehicles and dont care about it. The people who ring you out are arrogant and they dont make good on their warranties. Dont waste your money. If you go to this Firestone, they will only cost you more money. Unfortunately, other than common sense, I have no substantial proof it was them that broke it, otherwise I would press charges. NEVER GO TO FIRESTONE

I just moved to Springfield and needed a front end alignment done on my car. I had gone to a repair shop and had tie rods put in but they didnt do alignments. The mgr at that repair shop recommended this Firestone location by the Battlefield Mall. I went that same day and it was a great experience. I was waited on immediately by Donnie the manager and right away his technician came outside to bring my car around. His name was Ryan. I watched the alignment being done from outside the bay and Ryan worked on my car for about 45 minutes or so. He test drove it. He also printed out the specs on my car showing before and after and explaining to me what the numbers mean. He was very caring and answered all questions I had. I cant say enough about how smoothly the whole experience went and how nice everyone was that worked there. Im going to return to this Firestone location for future service needs.

Sent a coworker in to get her tire replaced yesterday, despite that she is a poor college student she paid the premium to have them replace her tire. Today when she showed up to work she had a massive bulge in the side of her tire - upon advisement she returned to have it looked at, only for them to tell her they will not cover it and a side bulge is not a defect but user damage. Sadly I have had enough "curb impacts" of my own to know that it was not due to her impacting anything, thus, a defect in the tire. In a repair field of my own I have to understand the difference between user damage and defective units (which does happen), and their unwillingness to even offer a solution for her is highly disappointing. As such I will not be returning myself, or referring my own customers/friends/employees to them again.

My son took his "new" 2002 Buick Rendezvous to them to find out where he was leaking power steering fluid from. They told him they couldnt find the leak, but they guessed it was coming from the rack and pinion system, then quoted him over $900 to fix a problem they couldnt diagnose. Being willing to take a 17 year old high school Junior for his hard earned money is greedy and sad. At least they got another star for "guessing" that the new fuel pump might be wired wrong and suggesting that he take it back to the shop that repaired it. Even though they gave him a quote to have another new one installed. Lucky this Mommy knows a thing or two about cars. We will fix it ourselves, thank you very much.
