CANNOT RECOMMEND! 1 star rating. I used to take my car here for brake work and smaller jobs exclusively. After the last job they did, I am going somewhere else. I am assuming there has been a change in management or large staff turnover lately because I didnt recognize anyone working there.........Took car in for new rear brakes and drums (June 2011) Came back and brakes were worse than before!..........I confronted the service man would not listen to me or make things right. He went outside to "consult" with the mechanic who was looking at my car, and returned to tell me that I needed new struts IMMEDIATELY. Claimed that was why my car shook when I braked! $800 for new struts and I needed to do it right away. This was in addition to the hundreds I already gave them for the rotors/brakes.......................I took it to SunRays. They fixed the problem in an hour (turned front rotors.) Car brakes beautifully and I feel safe with my family in the car with me. They confirmed that I didnt need struts. Great customer service. Straight talk, straight prices. No up-sell. Great guys that work there and I trust them. I did not like my complaint being dismissed by Midas and treated as if I was stupid, nor did I like them being deceptive.-------------------------------------------Bottom Line: This Midas does not care about repeat business or quality work.---------------------------------------------------------------Suggestion: Stay away. There are too many options in town to go here. I gladly support SunRays business.

I bought a used car and the following week, I took it into Midas to have a total eval/inspection done to see where the vehicle condition stood. I voiced my concerns and even asked if they test drove the vehicle before doing work. I was told yes...so in good faith, thats where I took my car. Once they were finished (they told me I needed tie rods and alignment, tranny flush, both belts and pulley) and I paid, they told me the tranny was making a strange sound which I voiced to them PRIOR to even taking the car in. They clearly did not assess this issue like I requested because they wouldnt have told me AFTER the fact. 13 days later, my transmission had gone out. While they have no control over this particular issue, their lack of effort in properly diagnosing my concerns and lying to me did not sit will. Here I am a month later wondering why my car pulls severely to the left and Im need of new struts on all four tires (didnt diagnose that, either!). While the mechanic at a different shop was replacing my struts, he noted that the tie rods, while new, were not secured properly (the nut was easily removed) and I am AGAIN in need of an alignment. I REFUSE to take either of my vehicles to this Midas again..or any other for that matter. I will be relying on Mitchem, Rooks Wayne, or a greasy redneck before taking my business here again.

I have never given a review on any business, but this one I am. I took my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee to them to have a muffler system put on that gave the vehicle a little more of the performance sound, When I left I could tell that it was way to loud, *could not hear my stereo.* spent $107.00. When I got home I made a phone call to the manager and he said they had another muffler that would work to quite it down! My wife took back in the next morning, spent another $65.00 and no help. With needing to be out of town, I drove to Kansas City and by the time I got there I had enough and went to another Midas shop in Blue Springs and was told by the manager that they put on the wrong mufflers not once but twice. After another $116.00 the problem was fixed. Thank you Blue Springs Midas. Fighting to get some of my money back. I think I will win this one. I let you know.

The first time I took my Cadillac the experience was terrible, I took it there for a tire that needed patched and these clowns give me a 1200 bill for items they considered needed to be fixed. And the funny part is they didnt even get it right, I NEVER ASKED FOR A WALK AROUND ON MY VEHICLE I ASKED FOR A TIRE PATCH!!! The second time was worse, they failed my wifes car on inspection for a windshield wiper (which of coarse I paid to have replaced) and again with their free inspection and cabin filters that they seem to recommend to everyone. The best part was when the manager asked me if I was a dancer when I paid with ones, what a moron. Too bad this place is close to my house, never again.

I was very pleased to learn that my local Midas Shop has started to carry BG products. I have been using BG 44k for several years in our personal vehicles. I also started using BG MOA last year on my 02 Toyota 4Runner which has 240,000 miles and still going strong. I expect to get 450,000 on my Toyota and believe the staff at Midas is qualified to help me reach that goal. This shop has been helpful in scheduling small maintenance jobs like oil changes and tire rotations as well as handling the major equipment replacements like shocks & struts, brakes & calipers, cam seals, timing belt and water pump. I appreciate their advice and their ability to answer all my questions.

Brought in 02 pt cruiser that wouldnt go into gear. I wanted a simple visual diagnostic to see if there were any loose vacuum hoses. Called me three hours later and told me my transmission was shot. They hadnt moved car. When I grilled them about what they found out what they found out. They avioded giving me any direct answers until they finally said that the tourqe converter was bad. I towed the car to my inlaws house. Turned out to be a clogged transmission filter. No one should use this shop the mechanics are dishonest and wont hesitate to do unnecessary work.

Dropped my vehicle off for an oil change and went to the gym next door. Came back after about two hours and my vehicle hadnt moved. When I walked in the guy upfront said we havent got to you yet (two hours past my appointment time.) Then he didnt know where my keys were and gets the walk in customer right in. Come to find out someone took my ticket but didnt work it. No one apologized or really said anything at all. The front desk was rude and didnt provide a good experience at all. I wont go back!

They charged me $200 for a rear rotor on my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan which costs no more than $60 at any parts house. When I called them about this after the repairs had been done they said they mark up the price 75%. Well, this must be new math as $200 for a $60 part is more than 300%. Now, this rotor is the only one on the vehicle that is rusting on the surface which is not touched by the pads. Im thinking it did not cost them even $60. Bai, Bai, no repeat business for them from me.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! these guys charged me twice for a simple repair on my jeep then after their fix broke AGAIN for the third time they basically told me to go some where else. Then when I asked for a refund they had the nerve to argue and say that they had fixed the problem??? Clearly the problem isnt fixed if I had to be sent to another shop. DONT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!!
