I used to have great experiences here. The people were friendly and honest and the service was fast and consistent. Recently, however, I had an issue with my car overheating and brought it to Economy to be checked out. They told me it was a thermostat, which we have replaced ourselves before for about $70 and an hour of our time. I chose to allow them to make the repair because the car was already there and I did not want to mess with obtaining the parts and such. They charged me an hour of labor to diagnose the problem, plus $250 to make the repair, which seemed steep but I just wanted my vehicle back. The next day they called and said the fan was not functioning and wanted to charge me ANOTHER hour of labor to diagnose this problem. I allowed them to go ahead and they called me back with a $500 estimate to replace a cooling fan! What a rip off! We picked up the car, bought the fan for $130 plus a $7 bottle of antifreeze and had the car up and running in less than an hour, with no problems since. This has been my go-to mechanic for years but I feel like they tried to take advantage of me in this situation. I wont be returning.

I took my car in for an inspection on Monday and it failed. I said I would get it repaired and set an appointment for Friday (the last day of the month) for another inspection. I told him I needed to renew the license this month. I went it for the second inspection and was told that I could not get it done today, even with the appointment. At first he said it would be three hours, then he said it would be the following Monday. I reminded him that I need to renew the plates today. He didnt care and said he couldnt do it today. EDIT: Marc saw one of my reviews and contacted me about the problem. He was on vacation but wanted to make it right. He called the shop and had them get it done. He also is refunding my inspection fee and offered a free oil change. He cares about how business is done and was not happy that this happened. The employee I dealt with on my return to get the inspection was much nicer and apologized.

We have four decade-plus-old vehicles between my family and my parents, and Economy is always our first choice. The staff has been helpful and honest in all of our interactions. For example, we took a car with a rusted-out resonator in for inspection. That needed to be fixed, but instead of pressing us to do a more expensive repair, they pointed us to another shop that could weld in a fix for about 1/4 of the price. Thats integrity, and thats hard to find anywhere these days. I gladly recommend Economy to anyone, whether you need routine maintenance, inspections, second opinions, or just want to believe that there are still good mechanics out there.

My little sisters car broke down nearby and I called them and described the problem. They informed me they worked with AAA so it would be easy to get the car there. They looked at and fixed the serpentine belt on her car in two business days which is exactly when they said it would be done. The guy I talked to on the phone was very nice and informative and, in my opinion, charged a very fair price for fixing the issue. I would recommend this fair and honest establishment for your vehicle repairs.

Ive been going here for a long time and never had a bad experience. If i wasnt satisfied about something, they went out of their way to make it right. Being a single woman can at times make dealing with car problems a little overwhelming, but with Rick, I have so much confidence in him and he makes me feel so comfortable that I feel as if my brother is handling things for me. Always recommend them and wouldnt trust my cars to anyone else!

I needed a few things checked over the other day and stopped by without an appointment to see if they would be free to help. As soon as I pulled in, I was treated professionally and with respect. Weve been taking our cars here for nearly 10 years. Theyre always friendly and honest and I feel their pricing is fair. Ive been to repair shops in the past that are always trying to upsell you or it feels like theyre "finding" more problems for the sake of getting more money out of you which is very frustrating! This never happens at Economy - I highly recommend them!

This place WILL rip you off!!! Took my truck here to get an inspection and they tried to sell me parts that I did not need. I took my truck to another inspection station and they said it was perfect. Could not even try and explain to them, they would not listen. I live right down the street from this place and I will drive right by to get work done some place else.

Ive always had a good experience with economy, the last time I was there the mechanic even took me back and showed me how the part he replaced was so shot ,and explained the whole thing to me, i feel he went out of his way ,as busy as they are to give me personal attention, and they are reasonable too if you check around!! The people who work here are fantasic! Ive been coming here for years and have always received great car service and customer service. They do great work every time. Paul in the front office does his job very well and made sure I understood what was being replaced and why. I would reccomend them to anyone!!

They were able to locate a new shifter cable for my Dodge Dart really quickly. My shifter got stuck in reverse on me and they were nice and charged my battery after it died on me. These guys are super professional and I will definitely bring more work their way. Thank Rick and crew!

Please Dont Go Here!!! Good mechanics are hard to find and if you go here you will make things crowded. They do excellent work at a fair price. Why would I want more people using them? We have used them for years and are very happy with them, so STAY AWAY!
