Dont go to the Midas in Fenton by Dirt Cheap. This place is terrible, i took my car there on top of waitin 4 HOURS! yes 4 HOURS in this litte hole in the wall shop, they messed up one of my rims changing my tire. I had alloy rims and theres little wells where your lug nuts fit They got down to the very last nut and stripped it. . some how they had my lug nut crooked on the lug. I dont know how , maybe because the idiot changin the tire was using the impact drill to get it off, couldnt, and then proceded to put a tire tool on it and then beat it with a hammer (I know because i watched him.) . then they tried to cut it off with the torch and blackend and then bored out the little well where my lug nuts fit , And theres no cover over these so its pretty visable damage. after all said and done they put the tire back on and i complained about the damage. the manager of the shop is a short , chubby , brown haired lady named Dee . She was very rude to me saying , "Its your fault for telling us we could get it off" Ok first off I said they could take it off but i didnt say they could damge anything, and if i had known there was a chance of my car getting messed up i wouldnt have let them do it, i would have done it my self. Anyway i had to take it as they wouldnt do anything for me and were very rude while saying this. so I just dont want this to happen to anybody else, Als tire and auto is a way better place and there right down the street. Dont go here if you like your car.

NEVER GO HERE!!! i brought my car in a while back to replace a straight pipe, a while later the car started rattling pretty bad. I climbed under it to check it out and it turns out, instead of taking off the heat shield over the catalytic converter, they cut 3 of the 4 sides completely off it and left it hanging on by one rusted bolt. I called up there and the manager said to bring it up there and he would figure out what he could do for me. I drove up there immediately to have the lady at the front desk lecture me on how heat shields are very unimportant and how they ( midas) cut them off peoples cars all the time, it was really no big deal at all. i told her it was on the car when i took it up there, id expect it to be on the car when it left. She huffed and puffed and they eventually brought me in to the shop to get away from other customers while they told me a new heat shield would run me upwards of $350.00 They then completely changed all theyre stories around and claimed that they never touched the heat shield and would not be held responsible for it. This place is a joke, the management is a joke, and they have no idea what theyre doing. i will never give them my business and i suggest no one else does either

My 98 Civic wouldnt start after trying to crank it for a few days. Midas had done a good job replacing my radiator in my 99 CR-V so I had my Civic towed to them. Midas started off on the right foot, saying I had no spark and needed a new distributor. Also said I needed a new timing belt (at 82K miles) and it would be $1700. Grudgingly said to go ahead. Then they called back and said I had no compression and they wanted to pull the head to take a look. I got a second opinion, but Midas wouldnt go with my request and said I was throwing away my money and it was a $4000 problem. Said I needed a new engine! I finally had it towed to Als Automotive. Found Midas had stripped a screw from the old distributor, accidentally thrown away my original spark plugs and had to replace them (with one of them cracked, Als pointed out). Als did as I asked replacing the distributor and adding a bit of oil to the cylinders to get it running then change out the spark plugs and do an oil change. the Civic is up and running like a champ, and no need for a timing belt until nearer to 100K.

I have been using the Midas Fenton location for my two cars exclusively for the past 2 years and overall have been very happy with the service. You cant beat the $20 oil change and tire rotation and I do it every 3k miles as recommended by my manufacturer. On top off that every 5th change is free if you ask for the punch card. Dont get me wrong, they are in business to make a profit, and they will recommend services like fluid flushes which may not really be needed, but overall Ive had no issues and have had my cars serviced many times. At Christmas time they mailed me a coupon for a free oil change and tire rotation. Their prices can be a bit high for some services (still less than the dealerships) but they are also willing to compete/match with other local businesses and also discount coupons are always available on the website. I would and have recommended them to others.

I do not write reviews often so this is new to me but this needs to be known.I had a major problem with my Lexus suv and he guys there would not just work on it.They actually turned down the business and told me to go to the dealer to get it fixed.I had to get some new brakes and rotors so I got them there and drove it up to the dealer to get the leak fixed.Well the rotors somehow got warped in my way up to the dealership... Ouch the dealer wanted around 3 grand to fix all of it .. UHHHHH!! Well when I told these guys about they towed my car back down and fixed it all for free. FREE and stood behind it so no bones about these guys rock and are honest and do great work. I now take al of my cars there...

recently got a full set of tires through Midas, and as usual, couldnt be happier with the service. Very friendly people, that take care of your vehicle quickly with no fuss or ridiculous charges. I would never use any other Automotive place over their shop. Ive also taken in a car for diagnostic purposes, and they are super awesome about giving you an idea of what your car needs, without any charges and you can go back home and DIY what you want.

Dropped off my car today due to smoking engine. They took a look at it and gave me estimate and details of work. Spoke with Jerrod who was extremely friendly and helpful. I decided not to have the work done since its a very old car and time to retire it. They did not charge me to look at the car. I have been going to Dobbs for 20 years and the last 3 visits were unpleasant. That is how I found this shop and Im am glad I did.
