Had to rebuild transmission. Looked at reviews, and seemed to be a good place. Spent $1502 to fix it. Noticed it was sluggish. When I got home I discovered that the transmission fluid was overfilled by over a quart. Called them and they said it was purposely done for corners. I have a hard time believing that. It drives much better after I spent an hour in the cold pumping transmission fluid out with a $60 mityvac, I was forced to buy. Months later, my truck would not start. Took it to a mechanic and found that Cottman Transmission had pinched a wire in the transmission pan causing a fuse to be blown in the PCM(Powertrain Control Module) and forced me to spend $468.66 to fix it. By this point, I was scared to take it back to Cottman. Let me note: Management is good. Helped me fix a problem with my engine for free, after I took it back to them to make sure no damage was done after they overfilled the transmission. Done January 2015.

Cottmann in St Peters, MO is the ONLY place I fully trust to take my autos to for all repairs. When you find a good honest repair shop that gives top quality service for a reasonable price, you stick with them. I worked in auto service many years ago. I know when shops try to hit you with extras to get as much as possible. This has NEVER happened with Cottmanns. They have always given good diagnosis and quality repairs.

I been going to a Cottman Transmission shops for over 20 years. They closed my local Cottman Transmission shop, so I passed up other local Transmission shops and drove 15 miles away. My transmission screen & fluid was changed in a timely manner. The staff was great .They go by appointment

Great service, the cost of my transmission rebuild was what they informed me it would cost. Also they got it done in the amount of time they said it would take. Everywhere else quoted me 3000 for a tranny rebuild and converter fixed, they did it for 2300.

Cottman had the best labor rates and best customer service of any transmission and auto shop Ive been to. Jeff (if Im remembering his name correctly) was incredibly helpful. Will definitely return if I ever have issues with transmission again.
