I have used this company 3 times in 20 years. The first time was really great, we had a wonderful driver and had no damage. The second time we used them was less satisfactory and we had a damaged entertainment center which I did not put a claim in. The driver was awful. I dont think he liked his job very much and it showed. The third time we used them was the worst of all. They were supposed to pack our mattress and box springs in a box which they failed to do. They also broke a very sentimental lamp in half, chipped a chair leg on our beautiful dining room set, dropped and crushed the corner of a wooden speaker and now I just found out they lost a box. I filled a claim for the damage this time and requested a refund for the lack of boxes to hold the mattresses. After numerous calls to the agent in Bozeman I was told they would refund the cost of mattress boxes. I waited weeks for the refund and finally called to see why I didnt get it. I was told they would call and find out. I then heard from them that merganthaler had denied the claim but would finally give it to me because my Bozeman agent had called them. It was finally mailed to me. Shortly after that I submitted my claim for damage to my belongings especially after paying for full coverage insurance. They acknowledged receipt of the claim and since then I have heard nothing. I have called them numerous times and received no call back. I called the agent in Bozeman and was promised a call back, but she also failed to return my call. At this point I have just about given up. I will call one more time and try again. In the mean time I will caution everyone out there not to use Mergenthaler Transfer for their moves, I certainly wont. I propose that the higher ups read a book called "How to run a moving company for DUMMIES".

Ive moved more than a half-dozen times in my life and Ive never before been so pleased with a moving company. From estimating to their attentive personal service to packing to the move and delivery of my furniture, every person I came in contact with was friendly, helpful, professional and genuine. Each one went out of their way to ensure every aspect of my move went smoothly. I was honestly amazed. I know few things in life are perfect, but working with Mergenthaler was truly the perfect choice and their performance was perfect, as well. I recommend them without reservation of any kind.

It was great from beginning to end. From my first phone call to my signing the delivery invoice everybody involved was terrific. Amanda was very professional and helpful in her inventory visit, Stacy was wonderful with keeping in touch with me and walking with with me through out the process with her emails and phone calls. Everyone at the office was polite and helpful. The drivers and movers were awesome and careful and respectful of my items. I would highly recommend Mergenthalers to anyone and everyone.
