Replaced the water pump on my vehicle a while back, rather, two water pump replacements, one to undo their previous work. Shortly after having it replaced the first time, the engine fan that ran through the water pump housing exploded during a drive. Damaged the hood, nearly crashed, but didnt. Towed it back to the shop and asked for a free re-repair. Since they insisted it was not a certainty it was the water pump, we settled on me paying for the parts (including a new radiator and fan). Round 2: Driving a hundred miles out of town I observe a waterfall coming out of my engine compartment. Check it out, yep, its the water pump again. End up driving back into town constantly refilling the radiator of a car that cannot hold its own coolant anymore. This time I insisted on a free re-repair, but first they tried to offer a discount. Yeah right. While choosing an entirely new manufacturer of water pump to install, it was mentioned that they ended up "having issues" with the one they previously installed. Gee, it wouldve been nice for them to give me the heads up once they knew that - so I can avoid killing myself and others in a collision, but they didnt. Asked for a refund for the previous work because of it, their response, "Not gonna happen". Since the last repair my car had a slow but steady reduction in power related to compression loss in the engine. It is currently bricked. Im sure this was not at all related to engine damage due to driving whilst pissing coolant for 100 miles, good job fellas. Absolutely would not request service from them ever again.

These guys were timely, knowledgeable, fair and reasonably priced! While preparing for a long business trip on a Thursday, I had an oil change from Jiffy Lube, and they notified me of a severe front brake problem. I took the car around town, and every place would have the repairs finished too late for my business trip. Auto Connection was able to get the fixes done *THAT DAY,* and even offered to pick me up from my office as I was without the vehicle. A day later, I noticed some noises coming from the brakes after the car had set for awhile. They guaranteed the work and took a look at it, again, *THAT DAY.* It would have been easy for them to explain the oxidation of the rotor was nothing to worry about it, but Kevin, the general manager, took me out to his car to show the oxidation on HIS brakes and explain the noises as *new rotors and brake pads.* I feel that most mechanics prey on the lack of knowledgeable customers, myself a member of that sad group. This is not the case with these guys!

Our car broke down in Lincoln at night. We ended up renting a car to get back home to Kansas City. I was given the task to find someone to pick up and repair the car the next day. I choice Auto Connection and was glad I did. I called in the morning to have it picked up and repaired. They were fast and did a great job keeping me informed of what was going on. They were able to have the car ready to go that afternoon. I received a personal call from the owner after my husband picked up the car because he missed him when he picked it up. He had taken pictures to show us on what needed to be repaired. Auto Connection goes above and beyond normal service. My husband was very pleased with my choice and his car is driving great. I went to school at UNL. If I was a parent and needed a place for my son or daughter going to school at UNL I would highly recommend it Auto Connection. All my service experience was done long distance and without stress. Thanks for the great service Jeff and Kevin!!!

Trust doesn’t come easy. There was only one mechanic that I trust and he lives in Fresno, California. Unfortunately, CA is a bit too far away to have maintenance done on a vehicle in Lincoln, Nebraska! I’ve been to a couple places in Lincoln, including local shops. They had conflicting diagnoses, but even worse, they all misdiagnosed the issue. To add insult to injury, one of the local shops charged me for the misdiagnoses! Luckily, there is now an entire auto shop I trust: The Auto Connection. These guys have the one-two punch of (1) quality customer service, and (2) excellent mechanics. Settling on any one of the prior shops would have set me back $400+ on a misdiagnoses. Luckily I stuck with the search till I found a shop I can trust. All my future auto car will now be taken car of by The Auto Connection. Thanks guys (& gals!) for a great experience! FYI: The mechanic servicing my vehicle this morning was Kevin. Great guy, straight shooter, knows what he’s talking about!

The Auto Connection is great! The staff is super friendly and helpful. I do my research when choosing a mechanic, searching through google, yelp, and asking friends. My findings pointed me toward the Auto Connection, they have been on the honor roll with the Better Business Bureau for costumer service for several years. And it shows! I took my car to them because it was having trouble starting. Kevin worked on my car and took the time to make sure he identified the problem before replacing broken parts. Kevin also would tell me how much the different tests and parts would cost before proceeding. Im really glad I chose to take my car to the Auto Connection because they took their time identify the problem, informed me of the costs, and always greeted me with a smile. Thank you Kevin and the Auto Connection team for helping a student out!

Its the nightmare you hope will never happen--you are halfway through a cross-country drive with almost no money in your pocket, and the check engine light comes on. Thats what happened to me this morning. Luckily, I was just outside Lincoln, NE, and yelp directed me to this place. They checked out my car, made a quick adjustment, and within 30 minutes, I was back on the road--at no charge! Even the wait was pleasant, with coffee, free wifi, easily accessible restrooms. The very kind woman at the counter even directed me to outlets in case I needed to charge my computer or phone. And when they were done, the mechanic came over and sat next to me in the waiting room to explain what theyd done. Unbelievablely good service--thank you!

I had a situation with a vehicle recently that was a combination of a bad decision and really bad timing. The guys at the Auto Connection went out of their way to make the whole ordeal less painful for me...from towing the vehicle when I couldnt take care of moving it, to looking it over, and then to taking it off my hands when I determined that it wasnt worth keeping. Pete was awesome about staying in touch with me ( I had a LOT going on and wasnt always remembering everything I was supposed to do.) I was impressed and so thankful; they went above and beyond! I wouldnt hesitate to use their shop again, hopefully under better circumstances, and I would absolutely buy a vehicle from them.

During a recent cross country RV trip we needed work done to our 2004 GMC diesel pickup. The truck was towed to Auto Connection for repairs. The truck was in the shop from a Thursday to the following Monday because we had to wait for some overnight parts deliveries. During the whole process Kevin kept us informed of the work being done. After picking up the truck, we were back on the road the next day. We were very happy with the service and the quality of work done. An unexpected bonus was a phone call from Kevin during our first day back on the road to make sure all was well. Excellent service and a great job all around!!
