Fresh start

I dont know who was working at Midas, it may have not been Bob, or Brian, but back in the 90s I took my 1985 Nissan pickup in to get a exhaust leak fixed, they had to replace the pipe between the muffler and the catalytic converter, it had three natural bends in it, they replaced the pipe. When they were finished with it, it still leaked! It was cold out, so when you started the truck, you could see the exhaust. The leak was right at the point where the pipe hooked up to the catalytic converter, three times I took it in to get it fixed, then I heard the leak again, and I looked... no leak below, now the exhaust manifold leaked where it hooked up to the head. So I went back to Midas to show them where the leak was now, and they said it would be a charge, I said it was caused by all the movement of moving the pipe around trying to get the leak fixed by the catalytic converter, because it did not leak from the manifold before, so they had to, have done it! The Manager looked at me and said prove it! I wrote a letter to corporate twice, never heard a word. I wood not touch Midas with a ten foot pole, what a jerk of a company. I will never give them a chance to rip me off again.

I just had the best experience with Midas. After years of using Jensen for years they finally have lost my business after time and time again of bad experiences over the last couple years. I was recommended to Midas by a friend and after being told my Jensen that they would need to have my car for up to 2 days with a $100 fee JUST to tell me whats wrong with it, I decided to go over to Midas and have them take a look. They were able to get me in within an hour and performed an oil change and told me what was wrong with my car in about an hour. They were very friendly and nice and even brought me into the garage and physically showed me what was wrong. I just wanted to extend my thanks to this team for being so awesome and making me feel like they care about my time. THANK YOU!

Midas in Bellevue, NE is THE BEST! Years ago, after receiving a very high quote from the Toyota dealership in Bellevue for new brake pads and having them also tell me I needed my transmission fluid changed, I took it straight to Midas to see if I could get a cheaper quote on brake pads. They put my car up on the rack, told me my rear brake pads had a good 20,000 miles left on them and that my transmission fluid was fine. They didnt charge me ONE DIME! I havent been anywhere else since! As a female it is difficult to find a mechanic that wont rip you off...I trust Bob and his crew COMPLETELY!

Im a former mechanic. Ive been taking my vehicles to Brian at Midas at 13906 R Plaza (Millard), Omaha since we moved to West Omaha in 1996. Now that Brian manages the Bellevue NE Midas shop, we drive the half hour to Bellevue for any repair Midas can handle. You will find no mechanic anywhere with more integrity in himself or his staff.
