AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL!! AVOID THIS PLACE!! I only gave one star because I had to just so I could post my experience. They deserve NO STARS! My experience – Dropped off my vehicle at 9am Saturday morning. Told the service writer that I wanted a front axle disc brake job. He said great! We have a special right now for new pads and resurfaced rotors for $120 so I said perfect let’s do it. Called at 11:30 to check the status, was told that my vehicle “would be next”. Fair enough. Had my wife drop me off back at the shop at 1:15pm – still hadn’t even moved my vehicle from the parking lot from when I dropped it off at 9am. As I’m sitting there in the waiting room one of the service techs asks me which vehicle I have so he can give me a status update. By that time I see my car through the window pulling out of the parking lot and down the road. So I stepped outside to observe and wonder who just drove off in my car. The service writer steps outside saying “oh there you are!” so I asked him why they’re test driving my vehicle as I did not ask for any troubleshooting to be done, only the specific brake job I’d asked them to do. He says “oh we test drive all cars!” My vehicle returns and they finally get it into a bay after sitting there for 4+ hours. Ok fine. Shortly thereafter, a service writer calls me over and says that I need $1200 worth of front and rear brakes and that the special $120 job he quoted me does not apply to my vehicle, and that the front axle alone is nearly 4 hours of labor at $110 per hour. I asked him how he was going to charge me for 4 hours of labor when they closed in less time than that, to which he replied “We’ll get it done by close of business at 5pm”. Really? So he said they will charge me for nearly 4 hours of labor yet they “will get it done sooner” as though he’s doing me a favor. Really?? I told him that doesn’t make any sense and he said “I know what you’re saying, but that’s how it is”. Ok fine. One other thing, if the $120 special didn’t apply to my vehicle then why did he pitch it to me at the time that I handed it over to him? He knew exactly what kind of car it was, as we discussed it and documented it. Hmmmm… So I asked him how we went from him telling me they have a $120 special to a $1200 brake job. He said my rotors were good enough to be resurfaced except that there is a hot spot on them so they’d need to install new ones and, according to law, could not resurface them so Id need new ones ($85 x 2), plus nearly 4 hours labor at $110 per hour. I also asked him how the $120 special, which includes turning the rotors and new pads, which is the same labor to remove and resurface as removing/reinstalling new rotors yet they are now saying I would pay nearly $400 for the same labor. Clearly - bait and switch tactic. And that was just for the front axle. He claimed my rear drums were shot and leaking all over. Ive NEVER found any fluid under my car or on/near wheels. At this point, I’ve had enough. I told him to just put my car back together and I’d be one my way. Well as I’m sure you can imagine they didn’t like that, so my wheels just laid there next to my vehicle as it was on the lift and no techs would even go near it. So I waited, and waited..and felt that I was being punished and made to wait even longer than the 5+ hours I’d already spent there as punishment for not allowing them to take advantage. So I asked the tech what was going on and he said “oh we only have two techs working today”. I asked him who the manager is and he said he’s the tech that was working on my car. My car is nothing special….a 13 year old Nissan with front disc and rear drum brakes and they tried to gouge me for $1200 for brakes, which the quote he told me when I dropped off my car was 10% of that at $120. Not only that, my car sat there from 9am until 1:30pm before it was even touched! Wasted my entire Saturday on these crooks. SCAM!! Avoid this place at all costs. There are better places to go that will appreciate your business.

I picked up my children from school and heard a hissing sound. I noticed something protruding from the tire and it looked like the tire could be plugged. Hibdon tires on 41st in Tulsa was right near the school, so I went to see if they could make the repair. My tires were special ordered for my Jeep and had less than 1000 miles on them. The service advisor explained to me that there was a "gash at least half an inch long" in my tire due to a screw driver (a star head screw driver) that was imbedded in my tire. He told me that it could not be repaired and explained that I needed a new tire. Since I work at Chris Nikel, where I had ordered the tires to begin with, I asked him to put the punctured tire in the back of my Jeep and to put the spare tire on. At this point, the advisor did not know that I worked at a dealership and that I was well informed on my Jeep. He told me that the spare was too small for my Jeep and that I NEEDED to buy a new tire. I let him know that I could put the spare tire on my Jeep if they were not willing to do it, that the tire was the appropriate sized spare, and asked him to leave the tire with the tool in the tread. A technician came out and they spoke while holding the service order over their mouths and staring at me. They put the spare tire on and I was on my way. The next morning when I got to work, I had the service department look at the tire and it was a puncture that was easily plugged and there was no gash. I called Hibdon headquarters to speak to someone about this issue and got to leave a message with someone. I asked to be contacted concerning this matter and still have not been contacted weeks later. What really stinks about my experience is that had I not been educated about my vehicle, the employees at Hibdon Tire were ready to take advantage of me when I was in distress. No thank you, Hibdon Tires!!

Printed off a $99.99 brake job coupon and made an appointment. When the vehicle got there, they did a "four wheel brake inspection", and informed us the front rotors WERE SHOT, and needed to be totally replace, NOT turned, REPLACED, at an additional $200.00 charge (over and above the coupon price). We said forget it, and took it to one of the brake specialists in town here (Tulsa). Imagine our surprise to find out the front pads were not even totally worn down, and the rotors were in PERFECT condition!! IF that wasnt bad enough (trying to scam an extra $200 for doing absolutely nothing), the very next day the REAR brakes locked up on the drivers side, and was very tight on the passenger side. Lo and behold, an examination of the rear brake pads revealed almost new pads and parts. BUT, the rear brakes had been adjusted ALL THE WAY OUT, and I mean Cranked!! Sure sounds like they planned on getting us back for rear brakes within a day or two to me. Id never take anything to them again, in my lifetime. Unbelievably horrendous way to treat an unsuspecting potential customer. (I wonder if theyd done the same thing had I taken the van to them, instead of my hot, blonde, younger girl friend. Ladies BEWARE THESE PEOPLE!!!)
