Have lived in a house they rented to me for two weeks now. When I moved in, I noticed about a quarter inch of dust and dirt on the ledge in our front room. I told them; and their response was: the home was cleaned adequately before you moved in. When I call them to talk about one of the now 12 things that arent working on he house (lived here 2 weeks) the woman who answers the phone wont talk to me and transfers me to a voicemail without allowing me to finish a sentence. Our oven hasnt worked since we moved in. Our pool cleaner hasnt worked since we moved in. We have no water pressure in our downstairs sink. We have a leak here the side of our house from some water valve that is driving our water bill through the roof. Neither of our bathtubs held water when we moved in. There have been about 3-5 other minor issues. There was garbage in the cupboards in the garage when we moved in. There was a large bin filled with old broken pool toys and dirt and grime that we had to clean out when we moved in. Unbelievable. Heres the kicker- our AC unit wont cool the house below 76 degrees during the day. Id understand that if this were a budget rental, but I pay $3000 per month for this home. It is upscale and in a wealthy neighborhood. They sent an air conditioner repairman today and he told me that he can see our units are just too old and that one unit has been fixed using used cheap parts and that the other one hasnt had anything replaced. The units are functional, theyre just old and cheap. Called in to ask for new units and received no response other than: we can list the home to be rented again if you want to move. Which leaves us having to wait until they rent the place, then scramble to find a new one, then pay movers and all of the costs of moving my 4 bedroom home and office within 1 month again. I paid 6 months upfront just to not have to deal with headache. I have no pets, I dont smoke, and I am a model tenant. Currently in contact with an attorney about how to get out of this horrible lease without losing all of my money. These people do not seem to care one bit about their tenants and wont even really speak with you on the phone about your issues they just force you to submit a ticket online so that no one has to speak to you. Really regretting my decision renting from shelter. Dont make the same mistake.

Worst property management company I have dealt with. They rent you an inhabitable apartment and charge a premium. Staff doesnt communicate or know what theyre doing. Do not take anyones word from the company coz it doesnt count even though they represent the company. If you decide to make the terrible choice of going with this bad company, document everything, conversation recordings, pictures before and after and let them put everything they tell u in writing. They are crooks and only out for the money. I lived in an apartment of theirs with a stove, dishwasher and fridge not working for 3 months and they turned around to blame me for the damage after they failed to fix it. RUN....... from them is what I will tell everybody. Stay away from SHELLY and CATHY. Bad, bad, bad and dishonest people. Take your business elsewhere.

This company is the worst company to deal with, they took our security deposit and charged us 2300 saying that marker on the wall made them have to repaint the whole house and use a special paint to cover it. Shelley was also who I used to communicate with, She us unprofessional, they will nickel and dime you for everything. They tried to say we ruined a refrigerator which was banged up on one side when we moved in. WE had a flood from a water line that burst in the bathroom and they told me they would not take care of it use my renters insurance which was a 500 security deposit. They had people working on the water line the day before and next day flood now i have to pay 500. They are Horrible. you have been warned. Horrible horrible!

Complete Ripoff from Day 1. This company will rip you off in every way possible. You will not get your security deposit back!!! no matter how great you leave the place when you move out. They will find ways to not return your security deposit, took over 60% of our security deposit. Charge us for carpets that were already stained when we moved in. They will pay their in house people $50 to clean the carpets, and charge you $300. Beware of this company!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!

Good people they do care, I been a tenant for 1 going on my second year. The only peoples I ever had was with HOA, and shelter reality helped me with them real quick! They helped me in more ways than one. They are everything you could ask for. Fair with pricing patient, and most importantly stay out of your business! The only reason I even seen these ugly reviews is because I needed to know the address. But keep up the good work shelter realty.

Extremely rude, not remotely helpful, dont fix anything, try to nickel and dime you for things that were wrong with the property when you move in. Simply awful. They should be ashamed of themselves and I sincerely hope they do not stay in business long if this is the way they believe its ok to treat people, especially tenants.

I have dealt with this company for the past few years as an owner of two townhouses. They are an excellent company to deal with. I receive immediate information with any problems in my units and it is taken care of promptly. I appreciate their professional management and would highly recommend this company.

Worst realty company to deal with. All they care about is their money. They could care less about the tenants. Im not one to give into reviews about a company, because I dont like to judge a book by its cover. But this company is horrible. If I could, I wouldnt even give it one star. Worst experience ever!

STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. There is an employee by the name of Shelley who is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. This company tried to illegally evict someone I know for reporting that something in the house was not working and an attorney had to be brought in to defend them.

Best property management company I have ever used, for the very reason that renters give them a 1 star. I would not use another company, EVER! Shelly has my name if you want a referral! I am a RAVING Fan, And have 4 condos that thwy manage for me!
