Do not go to this AAmco location if you have a Nissan, they do not use recommended transmission fluid from Nissan. I asked Steve (store manager) if he was aware that using any other transmission fluid would void the Nissan warranty and he sais he was aware of that. So I asked why then do they not use the manufactures recommendation so the warranty isnt voided ? He said that is what they use (Wolves head )brand...So they dont care that it will void your warranty. !! The reason I am writing this is because my transmission gage is on hot hot and I am just driving around town normal driving and it is on H, I took it back and Steve said it was only getting to 208 degrees...but the normal should not get any higher than 195 degrees so it is getting hot for no reason and it didnt do that prior to taking it in. So what Steve told me is that they use a bulk transmission fluid and maybe if they change it for the premium it would fix the issue, well it didnt. Then he said to me that sometimes when you do a fluid change with fluids containing detergents it will make the gage read differently... At that point I felt as if they were doing a guessing game or blowing smoke you know where ..I thought they were experts and he offered no explanation or a way to fix it. I called him back and he told me that I could go get it done somewhere else and if that fixed the issue he would give me my money back. I told him I will just call corp. to get the money then take it elsewhere, he then said with a very snotty attitude they wont give it to you. WOW. I am so sorry that I didnt go to the dealer, it was the same price anyway. Oh plus the owner walks around smoking like a train (Cigarettes) so the place smells awful !!

I took my car this afternoon to have the transmission fluid checked, no main reason just havent had a check since I bought the car 2 years ago. So I brought it to Aamco on rainbow, spoke with the owner, he was very persistent to get me to say my transmission was pulling or kicking however it has not been doing that so I insisted it was just to check fluid levels. After 40 min his mechanic checked in to say he was done and that my car had like 3 quarts over the max level and had been removed. Then the owner asked him to bring the car around to the front... then 30 seconds later his mechanic comes in and says the car wont shift and wont move??? WTF!! I immediately told him I did not intend on doing any work to my car, his mechanic asked me if that war my daily driver, I said yes. I asked him why it wouldnt move? He said its my transmission. I asked what caused it to all of a sudden not change gears and he said it could be the pressure so I asked him to put the fluid back in and that I didnt intend to do any repairs.. 2 min later the same mechanic drove my car to the front and said I was all set.. somehow I feel that there wasnt anything wrong with it and they were trying to scam me out of 2k for a transmission rebuild.. funny how a certified used Trans only costs $1400 almost same as a rebuild.. I wouldnt recommend this place .. it also smelled like cigarettes in there and scamartists..

My fathers car was in need of service and he had seen an advertisement about AAMCO. He was visiting from LA and needed service right away. They had told him they are not open on the weekends (which they have Saturday hours listed) and Monday was the earliest day to repair his car. That was not going to work, because my father had to return to LA the next day. Ron had called my husband (because my husband was in charge of the car) and notified him since we declined the service they were going to leave the car outside. Upon our arrival (at approx 3:47), my father was sitting outside of a closed shop (their hours state they are open until 5). They had locked up my car in their shop and drained all the fluids from the vehicle (which I had not consented to). This was the WORST experience Ive ever had. Thank goodness for the Regional Operations Manager, who had saved the day and was able to have someone back at the shop to release the car.I will never go to list location again. Its so disappointing that this shop not only falsely advertises their shop hours, but the attitude Ive received from their employees was completely unprofessional.I will never go to list location again. There are several other AAMCO locations in the Las Vegas valley that are much better than this one.

Find someplace else, people! I write this review now because I am reminded that my car is due for its annual transmission inspection. I took it to this AAMCO last year and was given the runaround by Ron (chain-smoking greaser with glasses, so you know who he is). He didnt want to honor my LIFETIME warranty because the original shop in California where the car is from shut down. What did that have to do with anything?! The warranty is from AAMCO, in whatever city the car is in whenever it needs service. Ron wanted to stress that over $1000 work was needed because of this and that and a new timing belt, blah blah blah. Pure bull! Unbeknownst to him, I had the timing belt replaced as well as a full diagnostics done to passing two weeks prior. I just needed AAMCO to check my transmission yearly as per my warranty. Ron even pointed out that an electrical code that needed to be rectified could only be remedied by one shop... the one that so happens to be in the lot next to his. Pure bull, again!! I purposely loosened my gas cap to trigger the emissions code in question. Once I tightened the cap and had them do the electrical diagnostics again... bye bye Ron and F.U.!!!

My truck was purchased at Carmax with their warranty. After two years my trucks trans went out, and I was sent to AAMCO. Ron took a look at the truck, told me it needed a new trans, and would work with Carmax to get the approval. He directed me to the rental car lot a block away, and gave me the information to get a rental. Once I was ready to leave he told me my truck would be done Monday or Tuesday. I was shocked as this was Friday late morning I am dropping it off. Sure enough Monday later Morning I got the phone call my truck was ready. Ron was Aces!!! Perfect from top to bottom. Easy transaction, paid my deductible and I was one the road again. Thanks Ron, and all of your staff!! I will refer work to you in the future.

I think that if you look up "jerk" in the dictionary you would find a picture of RH. I had a transmission issue that I really thought would require a tranny overhaul. Ultimately it was a sensor issue. I received an estimate, approved the work which was completed way ahead of schedule and considerably less than the estimate. I would recommend this shop in the future to anyone that needs honest and competent service. I think RH would best be served going to a discount shop where he would really get what he deserves. I think the loose gas cap shows a real display of class. Thank you AAMCO.
