In March I took my 2001 Toyota Avalon to Midas for new rear and front struts and strut mounts, as well as new front lower control arms. When I picked up my car from Midas the skid control and ABS lights were on (which were NOT on when I left my car at Midas). The problem could not be solved while I was at the store due to closing. So I took my car to the Toyota dealership and they found the rear speed sensor had been damaged and also found a zip tie holding a bolt in place on the rear suspension! Cost me $611 to fix (minus $99 for alignment)! I have since filed a complaint with Midas and BBB and Midas has done NOTHING but drag their heels. The consumer relations rep never calls back when he says he will and keeps giving me some excuse about being in California! I will NEVER take my car to Midas again. I expect a refund for the DAMAGE they caused to my car that Toyota had to fix! Terrible Service. Take your car to Midas at your own risk! Oh and Midas didnt even correctly put the back seat back in my car after installing the struts. Only one of the three seat belt buckles were reinserted into the seat cushion. I had to remove the seat and fix the buckles myself! Apparently they arent concerned whether their customers can wear seatbelts after theyre done with the car! Edit: The 3-stars are for Pete and the work he did on my struts. The situation has since been resolved in conjunction with Midas owner.

I called on Friday and spoke with Pete who agreed to help me diagnose and fix my check engine light on my low miles 2009 Scion tc. I dropped the car off and Pete was driving a customer home. So I got to speak to a very nice man who chatted with me about my issue, and he was the one who would be actually doing the work. Both dudes were super nice, very helpful, and got me out the door the next day. Total cost was under $150 for my diagnosis test and repair, which turned out to be a ill fitting gas cap. These guys had great energy, and really helped me out in a pinch. No upsells attempted. They told me what I needed to know, and didnt talk down to me because I am woman. I will be referring lots of folks here. Its hard to find a straight up auto repair shop with good people behind the scenes.

I called Midas to check price and time to replace 02 sensor. The employee instructed me to bring the car in so they could tell me an accurate price with NO wait. I drive the car in, they take the car apart, and then tell me is is $122 just to tell me the PRICE to fix the 02 sensor/check engine light. All I was looking for in the first place was an estimate. Midas claims it is a mass air flow and wont let me drive my car away or put it back together unless either pay $300 to fix the check engine light/air flow sensor or $150 for the privilege of them telling me the price to fix the car. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE!!! Im STILL stuck in the lobby.....

Ive had difficulty finding a shop I trust in LV and after my experience here today I will definitely be returning for future service needs and referring others! I brought my vehicle in because my brakes were grinding. I was given an estimate upfront and was shown the damage on the rotors before they started to work on it. Out the door, I paid the exact amount that was given to me in the estimate. They were very friendly and courteous through the whole process and I really enjoyed chatting with Pete. Its refreshing to speak with someone who truly cares about the customer and not just putting up numbers. Thanks again!

I had an appointment and they were ready for me when I arrived. They replaced my worn brakes and didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need. In fact, they did their best to keep the cost as low as possible. They even gave me a discount that I had forgotten to ask about. Theres nothing better than finding a car repair shop you can trust, and this is one of them. Theyve definitely earned my trust and Ill be coming back with any future repair needs.

Ive gone to these guys twice now for A/C problems and a transmission flush. Unlike the other big-name crooked auto shops and the corrupt dealerships around LV, these guys are honest and help you out the best they can without any BS. The next time something breaks on my car, Im taking it to these guys.
