Chris was helpful answering my questions about warranty. Thats about the only good part of my experience. Upon picking up my car, one of the techs had hit my car while parking his and no one seemed apologetic in anyway. There was no damage to my car so no big issue. Upon getting in my car, there are oily hand prints EVERYWHERE and oil stains on the carpet!!! Along with the outside of my car being covered with dirty hand prints. I take a good amount of pride in my car and wash it weekly, not happy with this at all!!! The car does drive great, but being an owner of a tech repair shop myself, it is a standard for my employees to do a check to make sure EVERYTHING WORKS on the device before even calling the customer to let them know its ready!!! This evening leaving work my sun roof is no longer automatic, and to close it you have to hit the button every 2 inches. Not satisfied in the slightest!!! I wish I could add pictures to reviews to show this crap! Update 2/25/17 Apparently now i can add pictures to reviews!!! Picture of the meineke employee hitting my car is now included!!! So, i originally posted this review in July of 2016 when Meineke had replaced my alternator through the APG Financial warranty. The first of February my alternator when out again. Due to tight finances i wasnt able to get it towed out there until February 16th. After spending another $175 just to get it towed from ogden to taylorsville. Matt told me there was no way it could be the alternator this time and they diagnose to see where the issue is coming from, i told him to fix the issue and let me know. the next day i got a call stating my car was ready. Due to some miscommunication between Meineke, APG Financial, and myself i wasnt able to pick the car up until February 21st (now 3 weeks without my car and still making payments). Upon picking it up i asked what they had worked on, Matt proceeded to tell me they replaced the alternator again. I was happy to hear that it was covered under warranty and i didnt need to pay anything. At that point i was planning to edit my review to at least 3 stars until the drive home, i started to have electrical problems again. I have taken the car to an AutoZone, Pepboys, and OReily to have them all do an electrical diagnose. All three places said my alternator was going out. I didnt tell any of these three places the back story, just that i was having issues with my electrical. As of last night (2/24/17) my car wont start! less then 4 days since i picked it up from Meineke!!! What is meineke telling me i need to do? have it towed back to them for diagnosing!!! ANOTHER $175 OUT OF MY POCKET FOR THEIR MESS UP?!?!?! Not fair to me in the slightest and im far from happy! wish i could give negative stars! Update 4/26/17 On the 17th of April my drive belt fell off, upon having a Dodge dealership and a local mechanic look at it, both places said the issue was coming from poor labor, the tensioner pulley was far from tightened. Dodge did inform me that over time the pulley can loosen, but if the alternator was just recently replaced, all the pulleys should have been tightened at that point. For the belt to fall off this quick, Dodge feels that none of the pulleys were tightened anywhere near as tight as they should be. So i called Meineke to ask Matt if their labor warranty covered them putting it back on. Guess what Matt told me? "Im not sure why it would have come off already, there must be something else wrong with your car." Matt did mention in this conversation that the labor is covered under warranty, however i have to get the car down to him. Im sorry, i dont have an extra 175$ to tow my car that far every 2 months. I told him the second time I took it to him (in February) to look it all over and fix what was needed so I shouldnt have any further issues. Upon asking if i can take it to another Meineke to have it put on, Matt informed me that that wasnt an option due to different locations being franchised. Not even 2 months later my car is un-drivable again!

Bought the Groupon deal for 3 oil changes for $29. Went in to have the 1st oil change done (only one I ever got from them) and to ask them to replace the wiper blades since I was there. I decided to do their supreme package with the 32 point inspection (it said 32 point on the paper, but they kept telling me that its only a 23 point even though it was printed multiple times that it was a 32 point), according to the paper this would normally cost about $40. They promised that the amount that I had paid for the Groupon would be applied, bringing the total down to $11, plus the about $10 per wiper blade, should have totaled to about $31, and they also promised a military discount. It took them over 3 hours to work on our car, even though they pulled it right in and they told me it should only take a little while. Trying to keep my son entertained in that time was impossible, and since we didnt have a car, we couldnt really go anywhere, especially since it was raining. The waiting room was dirty even for a car mechanic shop, I didnt want my son touching anything. They asked me to come back and look at my car with them and said I couldnt bring my son even if I carried him, so he had to wait in the waiting room alone. They told me I needed to have my air filter replaced and tried telling me it was filthy and I was breathing filthy air (I had just had it replaced so I knew they were full of it with that one). They also told me that I need to have my break pads changed, again just had them changed, and that I needed to have my fuel injector cleaned. I asked them if that was the same thing that the special gas at Smiths does, they said yes but it was better to do it there because they would be doing it. They also told me that if I did it then it would increase my warranty that I have with the car dealership by 30,000 miles. I asked them how on Earth THEM doing work would increase my warranty on my car with the CAR DEALERSHIP that they were not affiliated with in any way, they couldnt give me any real explanation. I declined. After all was finally said and done, they called me up to pay the bill and get the car. The bill was over $55. There was no record of the $29 discount having been applied, the military discount was applied though, but things on the bill didnt add up, and there were things that there that should not have been there. Not even a month later, the wiper blades started streaking again. I called them with the date of service and asked them to either issue a refund or put new wiper blades on, they refused to do either. I will never go there again, and will warn everyone away from there.

I have had my vehicle for some time now and am still paying on it. My terror started in June when I noticed my car started to slightly overheat. Not enough for any bells or whistles to go off but enough for me to be concerned and to immediately bring it the Meineke there within Markosian. I was told I should do this and that which came to about $275. Not even a week later, it overheats. I bring it back to them. "Oh you need a new intake manifold" I didnt see how this could be related to my overheating issue, but I went along with it. That was another $937.19. Pick it up and I immediately can tell there are problems on the way home. I call back and they say to bring it in. Brought it back in, now there is an issue with a misfire and Im being told another engine is the best answer. I still go along with that. $1500 and then the financing of the remainder that you added to my remaining balance for a total amount of payments to be $6,925.00 Here I am now 3 1/2 months later with car problems again.. Stating its another misfire and I need another engine. The warranty will cover the part only. But hey we cant find another engine for that amount so we need you to come up with another $300+ for that AND you will need to cover labor. I have had to purchase rental cars on two occasions because this has landed on family vacations and holidays because youve not had vehicles to accommodate. Ive now tried for the last week, leaving multiple messages and no call back. Pretty sure Im now just being avoided. So I finally heard from someone and decided that I would not be having them complete any work since the warranty was on the part I could take the part anywhere. Went to get my vehicle and was told that the engine swap already took place and that I owed $1400. After speaking with John it was determined there was a huge miscommunication and that yes I never authorized the work. I advised that I would only pay half of that or they could remove the new engine and put the old one back in and I wouldn’t owe anything. They complied. Went to pick up my vehicle only to get 5 miles down the road and then have smoke and liquids coming out from under the engine. Way to go guys. They offered to give me a loaner and pick up the car and I declined. I will no longer use this company for ANYTHING and you should do the same. Save your sanity, save your pocket book and move on to a better mechanic.
