In a nutshell: Painful massage, difficult to communicate, resisted accepting Groupon & harassed for tip More detail: I visited this foot spa after purchasing a Groupon. The groupon was for a 90 min combo massage so when I arrived, I requested a 90 min massage. The massage was the most painful experience. I typically like strong pressure however, when the "therapist" WALKED ON MY BACK, I was horrified. At first I wasnt sure thats what was happening (bc youre lying face down) however, when he jumped off & slipped his shoes back on, there was no doubt. I continually requested "softer," "not so hard," etc however, its very difficult to communicate. I literally clenched my fists & gripped the table. I shouldve gotten up and stopped the massage but didnt. When it came time to pay, I presented the Groupon and the flurry of talking in a language other than English & that I could not understand began. The lady "in charge" at the front desk insisted I return the Groupon and pay the normal massage rate. I tried to explain I dont think its that simple to just rtn a groupon. She called her boss who did agree to honor the Groupon but not before telling me how they were going to lose money, etc. I agree I shouldve let them know before the massage about the Groupon but it honestly didnt occur to me. I guess the word "combo" is pretty significant @star foot spa. Youre gonna lose money vs I hope I can walk tomorrow bc your employee WALKED ON MY BACK- I think you still win. After they took the Groupon, then the real fun began. The lady at the front desk began the whole tip pressure. I let them know I was going to my car to get cash (bc I really didnt want this place having my info). While Im in my car, the man who gave me a massage came out and started banging on my window! Its dark out, Im in my car and this man is knocking on my window! Last I checked tips were optional & indicative of good service. I literally walked in, paid 15 bucks on my card & got the heck out! And then beat myself up bc I laid through a painful experience, argued about accepting a groupon AND paid them $15- Shows you just how MANIPULATIVE the ppl are here! Please do not visit this place.

These people do not do a great job first of all it was just mediocre when she was actually massaging me because she kept pausing and leaving the room and coming back which is not enjoyable. The part that I did not like the most was that she follows you to the front counter and I think 6 or $7 is plenty for a $20 massage. She came and point it at a sign and said if youre not happy you tip $10 if youre moderately happy you tip $15 and if youre happy you tip $20 Ive never heard of a 100% tip on a massage. This is America and not China you do not ask for tips here tips are given hence the name. When you put me on blast in front of everybody and asked me for a 100% tip I was going to become an annual member and then I said nevermind charge me the $5 extra for the massage and I will not be a member simply because they asked me for a tip and it is a mediocre at best massage. Im going to leave my reviews everywhere and Im going to put a video on social media for everybody to see how they treat their customers. What is even worse is that I was referred by a few people that I know so I thought that I was going to enjoy myself and Im the type of person that likes to get a massage every other day and I seriously would have used this place as my daily massage place before I start my work everyday so they lost a customer that would have minimum gotten a massage every two days for the next 10 years simply because they asked for a 100% tip

Wow this place is a RIP OFF!!! I will never come back here again!!!! They will harassed you for tips!! People who gave you a massage will wait in the front desk with the manager who will force you to pay $20 per hr each for tip as an addition to what you paid for! We initially gave them $10 each and they still complaint started talking back to back such as the massage was good, tip required more money, etc. As in you will feel embarrassed in front of other people waiting. Well yeah the massage was alright and it is paid for! I will understand if they charge 70% for tip if the massage was free but it is not! We already paid almost $100 for the massage itself plus they forcing us to pay $30 for each therapist! If the massage was free I would gladly give them $40 each on tip! When we walked in they checked us in but didnt greet us, it was ok. They asked us to wait and sit down, the waiting area is great with typical Japanese/Chinese design. Massage was ok, wasnt great they dont work on deep tissue massage. The therapists have no good customer service and not friendly at all. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. I am warning everyone who tries to come here to please look for another place better!!!! I dont know why other people have 5 stars for this place, maybe those are made up by employees!!

Im pretty sure my massage guy knew nothing about massage. I had to keep telling him "stop", "ouch" and "that hurts". He kept pushing hard at the base of skull and I was thinking brain stem injury. when he quickly shoved hard with both hands into the base of my spine I about jumped off the table. my spine actually felt like it was going to crack. the entire time I gritted my teeth to endure the pain even though at 1 point I felt like crying. He did not massage anything properly. He forgot my right hand and calves. I felt like I was being beaten and knocked around. I have many finger print bruises to show for this experience. I very sore. Beware of the tipping policy in this place. I tipped $20 and he yelled at me saying $50 or higher while waving the twenty dollar bill at me. I didnt want to give him anything tips should be earned. The place is advertised as new but it is run down and Im uneasy about its cleanliness. its really dark inside and kind of cheesy with decorated trees. The VIP room is just a dark room with 2 cots to lie on. also, my 90 minute massage was 70 minutes and like another reviewer posted the therapist will just walk out and leave for 5 or 10 minutes with no explanation. I wanted to post pics of my bruises.

Very disappointed today. Which I have gone to this place for the pass 3 years and always go to same lady and make appointment. At this point will never go there again after one of there employee which NaNa who does my massage. I was only late 5 minutes to my appointment. Soon I got in there room she give me attitude saying that I should not make appointment to her anymore. I wonder why and I always give her $20 tips which she not that very good like the other lady who use to go to and do my massage. But anyways I will never ever go back in that place ever again. Just very disgusted with the poor costumer service and this two lady call manager Jenni and Julie did even do anything about. I was a loyal costumer for 3 years even tho they have close several times due to many things that they wasnt support to offer to costumers. And I have been there when the Clark County health ppl came in and still got a massage. F this place. Never ever go to this place.
