Went in for an oil change. Told car will be done in 45mins. Went for a walk and called to check on car to see if it was ready, guy told me that they did a tire rotation and two of my lug nuts were stripped so its going to take 10more mins. Told me that they are replacing the lug nuts and its probably going to cost me about $2 each. seems fair to me, so I went ahead with it. Walked back to the place to pick up my car. Guy told me that because my lug nuts were chrome, the price of the lug nuts were $8.50 each instead. So I ended up paying more for the lug nuts then I did for the oil change. I was not even told they were going to do a tire rotation on my car in the first place, I just presumed that it was going to be an oil change and thats that. I didnt fight my case and just went ahead to pay the $$ and left because I wasnt sure how much a lug nut would cost. After doing some research on the internet, I realized that I could get a set of 10 chrome lug nuts for $15. I paid $17 for 2 lug nuts!! All in all, I feel ripped off. They took advantage of the fact that I dont know much about cars. I should have read the reviews before trying the place out! I am definitely NOT returning! Thank you for nothing!

So although I have yet to have my car worked on at Sun Auto, I have to explain why Im giving them two stars (for now). If someone from Sun Auto can rectify my frustration then Ill happily delete this review and replace it with a better one.... I took my 2009 Honda Civic in to Sun Auto about two weeks ago. Right off the bat I was slightly irritated because I called a few days ahead of time and was told I could drop my car off at 8:30am to see why my A/C wasnt blowing cold air. I arrive and they had no record of my appointment. It took two hours just to get my car looked at and another two to find out what was wrong. I was told that the condenser was cracked and that it had to be replaced. With the replacing of the condenser and parts and labor added in, they told me itd be over $600. "Ok...." I thought. Not knowing how expensive a condenser is. Well I just got through doing some research and found out that a condenser for my exact vehicle runs between 60 and 90 bucks. "Parts and labor" I was told would be $150. My question is: where in the HELL is the other $360 bucks coming from!?

Edit.. I have to edit this.. I called in the past and asked about installing some parts that I bought and they said they normally dont but since its a family business and they want to keep my business there that they would.. So fast forward to today where my high pressure fuel pump needs replaced. I can get it online from ZZP for 199.99. Sun Auto quotes me 918.00.. I mention that one of the other guys told me they would install stuff for me.. But the gentleman on the phone said no. I even offered to pay more in labor. I understand company policies but when one says one thing and another says another thing.. Thats not right. Not to mention that this piece, all over the Internet is under 200.00. So to be quoted almost 1,000.00 is insane!!! Its only an hour install.. I will continue to bring my cars down there for minor things but I think its time to find another place.. Which is sad because I really love the family environment down there.. But family wouldnt charge 918.00 for a 200.00 piece and two hour max labor.

Horrible. They have had my car for a week and a half now. Such bad service. The only reason my car is here again is because of a "faulty part" they put in in the first place. Now that they arent getting paid for this work its one excuse after another why its not done. This place is a joke. Not the first time Ive gotten this kind of service here but it will definitely be the last. I will tell everyone I know not to go here. Addendum: just to be clear here. I dropped my car off April 20. It is now May 1st with no car. And now MAYBE I might get it on May 3rd. Seriously dont go here. New addendum: it is now May 3rd. Apparently they found another broken part. Maybe Ill get car back May 4th. Wow. Really?? This is actually becoming comical.

This Sun City Location is the best place! Seth & Terry are AWESOME! They made me feel welcome and very comfortable! Their customer service is superb and the best service Ive gotten from any other auto place in awhile! Their prices are VERY reasonable and they didnt try to scam me into getting extra work done like most places do! I would 100% recommend this location they are very professional, the place is very neat and clean, and the atmosphere is so chill and comfortable! Ask for Seth or Terry they will make sure youre priority and will walk you through anything you need done! They also take appointments which I love so I ln not waiting around all day like most places, I got a oil change and was in and out within minutes!

Originally took car in for check engine light. After three visits and $1000.00, the problem was still not fixed. We were told we needed another $1200.00 to fix the issue. We took it to another mechanic who found an entirely different problem ( not what we were told) and the car was fixed. Now one of the parts they changed during the first three visits is not working properly. We took it back in only to be told that part was fine, it is a different part that needs changing for another $500.00. (Our new mechanic did not see any damage to this part prior to us taking the car back in to Sun Auto). I feel cheated and cant help but wonder if they are causing damage to my car for more money.

We have taken our vehicles to this place for years. They use to be an honest shop. Now, they are just a SCAM. We thought we had really lucked out and found a good shop for life... No, never again. I have referred all of my family, co workers, friends, neighbors, and even the company I work for to this shop. They took all of our company vehicles here. I took a vehicle here on May 10th, 2017 and dropped $1700 into the vehicle (told them to check EVERYTHING and do EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE). Come July 24th, 2017 the vehicle broke down again and they wanted ANOTHER $800. I would stay away from this company. They are sharks. Signed, A misguided loyal customer for half a decade

On 7/6/2016 we brought in our Ford Taurus because the a/c was not draining thus freezing up and not cooling, this coming from personal 40 years of automotive experience but being from out of town no tools at hand turned to outside help. $1650 later told it was not a plugged drain line but needed new compressor. Two days later problem occurred again, returned was told it was just a loose spring lock , added freon and we left for home. 3 hours on the road situation returned. At home put car on hoist and located the drain line, hosed it out in 1 hour and issued resolved. We leave it to all who read this review to make your own judgement before going to Sun Auto Service.
