I hope I am going to help someone with this review. I went to them for a simple brake job and they came back saying I had a bunch of things wrong with my car and it was going to cost $3,500. I told them no and that I just needed brakes. I usually bring my car to Honda but I was around this area during my lunch break and just wanted it done. A couple days later I scheduled an appointment with Honda and I wanted them to inspect my car, they came back saying that the only thing wrong with my car is that both of the wear indicators on my new brakes were missing. I couldnt believe that a certified Honda mechanic couldnt find anything wrong with my car and these people from Just Brakes found $3,500 worth! I also research the missing wear indicator and read that some places do this intentionally so that the next time you go in for a brake job theyll make more money because you would have ran your brakes all the way thru damaging your rotors. If you do go in to this place please keep in mind that they will try to get thousands from you, please dont fall for it! Get a second opinion and remember youll be safe as long as you remember their name "Just Brakes".

I bought my car in Jan 2012 and the first time I went to get my oil change it was at a different company, not Just Brakes. They marked up the price for everything!! My jeep ended up costing me $85 for a simple oil change!! I was outraged, they gave me all this jargon about how my car required "special" parts. I can assume that there are other young females who have recieved this kind of treatment. They treat you like youre an idiot and you dont know anything. A few months later I purchased a groupon pack with Just Brakes. Not only did they not mark up the cost of my oil changes or try to convince me I needed extra things I didnt actually need, but they were so friendly and helpful throughout the process. Not only that but they did a fantastic job!! Everything was perfect, they remembered a sticker (it sucks when people forget the sticker) and didnt try to confuse me into paying more money than I should. I would return to Just Brakes for this service every time from here on out!!

Excellent Service! Brought my explorer in for a simple oil change. Price was great, and they completed the service before my allocated time. The main technician was extremely helpful when it came to answering the basic questions I had to ask him. He was able to communicate to me clearly what future maintenance needed to be done without sounding condescending. I felt like I was being "Helped" instead of simply paying for a service. What more can you ask for?? I highly recommend Just Brakes to anyone in the Reno area who is looking for a quality trustworthy mechanic; who has dedicated himself to his craft. A+++

These guys are legit. Started using them from after purchasing a groupon offer for an oil change. I have since gone back for 2 more oil changes and had both of my front axles replaced. The guys working there are great. Super friendly and awesome. They are always straightforward about what is wrong with your car, why you need it fixed, and how much it should cost. You take your car in and they have it done by when they say will. They keep you in the loop with what theyre doing on your car and dont use a bunch of mechanic lingo. They dont try to sell you anything you dont really need -unlike at bigger chain places.

Genuine people, I was dreading taking my car into get brakes done, Have to sit there and WAIT! Hate putting my vehicle in the shop. HOWEVER, this Just brakes was awesome, the guys who work here are a good group they joked and laughed with me to keep me entertained all while working on my car. The inspected it and told me what else i needed, and they didnt PUSH anything on me totally made me feel like i was in control. One of the mechanics wives even came in and was buying starbucks and she kindly offered to buy me one. I will definatly be bringing my car back to this location.

Took my car in for new breaks. They told me I had to do all breaks and there were some leaks. $2,500 dollars later they had rebuilt everything there was. I was not told it would be this much and did I really need all that work? Be sure to ask questions, many questions and make sure what you are paying for. The trunk was filthy with oil stains and dirt as they did not cover it. Another garage cleaned it up for me which was not their job and did not charge. I was very grateful. I dont think I will return to Just Brakes. I somehow dont trust them anymore.

Went in for brake service as described in one of their specials. Ended up with more service needed than what was required in the special, but they were good about showing me exactly what was wrong, explaining why it was wrong, and explaining what fixing it would do for me. Also very understanding of my budget constraints and not at all pushy about trying to push me over my budget. Great location - close enough to other things in town so that you might be able to find something to do while theyre working on your car.

I had an excellent experience at Just Brakes tonight. I came in for a much needed oil change and Dave was very professional and friendly. I have a 1984 bmw, so they didnt have the oil filter in stock so he personally went it got it himself. He greeted me right when I got here and kept me in the loop as to how long everything would take. I was very satisfied with the quality of customer service at Just Brakes on S Virginia and would recommend to anyone looking for a fast, friendly service at a great price!

I had a groupon for Just Brakes service so I didnt have much to lose. Ive taken my vehicles to Just Brakes in the past and each time they told me I still had life left in my brake pads - who is that honest anymore? The total brake service was done and my vehicle brakes like new again. In fact, they replaced some rotors and calipers that I thought would be very expensive and my total bill was under $200. Ill take all my vehicles to Just Brakes. Very happy with their service and price.

Just Brakes is great. I used to live in the Lake Tahoe area and would come all the way to Reno to have them work on my car. The staff is friendly and capable in their skills. They are reliable and affordable. I am going back this week to have them work on my car again. You can drop your car off, walk over to the Atlantis casino for some fun, and not have to worry about much. They call you in a timely manner and then just swing on back through.

They installed the wrong size brakes. The brakes kept squealing and grinding after installation. I brought it back and they claimed they forgot to install the front brakes so charged me another $200.00. I later took my car the dealer who informed me about the shoddy work Just Brakes did and I had to replace all the brakes. I asked Just Brakes for a partial refund due to their negligence and the owner just laughed and hung up.
