As a healthcare professional who takes great pride in making an accurate diagnosis and taking the time to fully explain treatment options, it has always bothered me that so few automotive repair facilities are willing to be similarly professional, accurate, or communicative. In my line of work, not being 100% truthful with a "customer" is inexcusable. Because of this, I have zero tolerance for the dozens of unethical automotive repair shops that have tried to get away with blatantly lying to me over the years. I am very happy to say that this particular Pep Boys location is, in my experience, one of the few trustworthy shops out there. In the past, I have been to other Pep Boys locations that offered mediocre service at best, so I did not have high expectations when I walked in the door. The waiting area is clean and the staff are friendly and professional. They diagnose problems the same way its done in medicine: They listen to your explanation of the symptoms, do a physical exam of the car, and then tell you what tests and/or treatments are needed to address the problem. The best part of all however, is that they treat your pocketbook with respect. I was told that the A/C system check would cost $60 or so, which I was initially skeptical about since many other shops try to charge prices like that for a "system check" that amounts to nothing more than looking under the hood for 5 seconds. Well, at this Pep Boys, I watched multiple technicians spend at least 30 minutes on my car, hooking it up to the diagnostic equipment, and running a dye through the system to check for leaks. They found that the A/C system was simply overcharged (which I admitted was my fault, whoops) and they corrected this problem for me. When all was said and done, they ended up not charging me anything. A great way to win future business in my book. Ill definitely be back.

A huge thank you to Kory Austin and Charles Freeman of this Pep Boys! Them taking a few minutes saved me unnecessary time and money. I was very pleased with their kindness and attention to detail. Exemplary employees! I broke (the metal key separated from the lock/unlock fob) key to my honda accord. My car wouldnt start, so after a tow to my closest service station as per AAA I arrived at Pep Boys Blackwood. . Upon initial arrival the concern was that the tech was gone and Id be stuck in South Jersey overnight and miss a day of work. However Charles was kind enough to walk outside and see if there was anything he could do to help. Upon first inspection he went back in a grabbed Kory and together they concluded that (Unbeknownst to me) the key actually has to be touching a magnet/sensor in the fab to actually deactivate the immobilizer and allow the car to start versus just having the fab in the general ignition area as I was trying earlier in the morning. The pieced the key and fab back together and the car started right up and I was on my way.

Absolutely terrible. Dropped my truck off to get new brakes at noon on a monday, never got a call, so I called them back monday night and they said they fell behind and would call me Tuesday morning...once again no call....called them back Tuesday night and the guy who anwsers the phone said he talked to me and then proceeded to argue with me and tell me he already talked to me, after we got passed the fact that he didnt talk to me he said the brake lines could take 2 days to replace and they charge $110 an hour for labor, so he said he would talk to his boss and call me back the next morning...well guess what, no call again, so I call them back and this guy tells me they cant even touch my vehicle and I will have to get it towed to some place else after I already paid to have it towed to them. You guys lost my family, friends and my business. NEVER stepping foot inside a Pepboys again.

I tried to take my car to this location to have three tires replaced and the head light fixed on the passengers side...I was told the tires would be $86 per tire (so I had the tire in dire need to be fixed, fixed bc there was no way I was spending almost $300 on tires for a 2005 Ford Focus)... I was then told it would be upwards of $100 to fix my head light bc supposedly it was going to require them taking the whole bumper off to get to the bulb...(sounds iffy right) needless to say I didnt ask them to fix the bulb. Lets just say my boyfriends little brother (20 years old...does not work in a shop) just fixed , my bulb within ten minutes without taking the bumper off. THANK YOU guys for trying to take advantage of a female customer...

The guys there are awesome. My wife and I have been going to them since they opened, theyre friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. They always make sure youre well informed about whats needed and dont create problems that arent there. I would definitely recommend them for everything from your oil change to corrective maintenance, like the bearings they just took care of on my wifes car. I have no complaints whatsoever from any of their service on our vehicles. They have really gone out of their way to make sure were safe and happy.

Took my car in today due to a noise I am hearing. Was told immediately that its about a 2 hour wait. So I left came home then a few minutes later called to see if I can drop it off due to the wait time, he then told he they have no techs today, he could try and locate the problem but probably couldnt and the techs work on specific days. I wonder why the run around not going back. Maybe something about my appearance they dont want my money.

The men who work here are WONDERFUL! I was having a terrible day (flat tire on my car first, then on my husbands). They were able to order a new tire for me and they did everything possible to make it easy for me to get what I needed. I sincerely appreciated the kindness of the men here today, and I certainly needed it. I will be returning here in the future for any of my tire needs.

I sincerely apologize for the posting that I posted on Saturday, It was a bad judgement on my part, unfortunately I never checked my receipt to see the services that I paid for. I do like Pep Boys and will continue to utilize their services if they accept my apology . Sorry for the misunderstanding and I will highly recommend others to let Pep Boys service their cars ..!

RIP OFF ALERT!!!!! Took my car in to have the cat replaced and was told they cant replace the cat without doing a tuneup and 4 step fuel system cleaner. All for the bargain (sarcasm) price of 725. Then they could replace the cat but they would have to do both even though the right one was the bad one. I knew never to trust pepboys and their Mickey Mouse mechanics.

I called to pep boys to ask for help on buying tires because i im illiterate when it comes to vehicles and i mean the guy was so rude and sarcastic i went bananas. You guys are in this field to help people like myself who dont have a clue not to be critical because we dont know things you where taught.
