Just joined this gym last week. I had become a fatass in the last two years since I started driving again and stopped walking/riding my bike everywhere and decided I wouldnt let myself go, not any further. The staff is friendly, they always greet me with a smile when I arrive and scan my card at the counter and they always say goodbye as I leave. Theres plenty of cardio machines with a lot of TVs, and plenty of machines for lifting, a really nice selection of dumbbells, and this cool fenced in area called the "30 minute workout" area which Ive used a few times and its really fun. They have a few tanning beds and these really bitching massage chairs. They offer two memberships, the "White Card" and the"Black Card". The White Card is $10 a month which allows unlimited access to the gym. The Black Card is $20 a month and allows unlimited access to the gym, free tanning, and free use of the massage chairs, plus you can bring someone with you for free as much as you want. Both memberships include free personal training, which is incredible for the price. Im loving this gym, it has made me love working out which I didnt see coming at all, I always avoided going to gyms like the plague and never thought that I would ever love going to one regularly. I am immeasurably grateful for that, and I am excited that I will finally have a gym body down the road. P.S. Disregard the very negative reviews for this place that were posted numerous years ago, this gym has made big changes over time and my experience there has been the polar opposite of what the extremely negative reviews are saying.

I do not recommend Planet Fitness to anyone. I signed up so Id have a place to run when its cold out, but when I cancelled my membership earlier this month, they still charged me the monthly fee. Apparently, I cancelled it 3 days late, so they refused to refund me the $16.05. While they told me its company policy, I find it very disheartening that every employee I spoke to about it to contest the fee, save for one, was dismissive, uncaring, and rude. This is absolutely not satisfactory. I think its unethical and a poor business decision to charge people for services they are not actually providing. I will say it was pretty interesting seeing how differently people respond when you take your complaint directly to the financial head, billing head, and CEO of a company - all of whom I emailed directly. I find it deeply disappointing that I had to take my complaint all the way to the head of Planet Fitness just to get appropriate customer service, and because of this, I would not suggest subjecting yourself to ever dealing with this company or its rude employees.

As an active senior, I am always fighting the battle of the bulge. The problem is I am a workaholic and use that as my excuse for not staying fit through exercise. NO TIME! I can no longer say that because the Planet Fitness folks keep their gyms open Monday thru Friday basically 24 hours per day. Well I had to see if it was true. Went to the gym at 10 PM to get an intro tour. I was surprised to see about 30+ other people working out and they all were smiling. Staff gave me the tour and I signed up. I find it great to have lost my excuse for keeping fit. I usually show up around 9-10PM and there are always others working out with friendly smiles. Best part is everyone is there to get fit. No fancy equipment, just the basics and a personal staff to help when needed. And to think I only pay $10 per month, no contract and now no more excuses about the gym being open. Six months of no excuses and I feel 5 years younger and am in better shape. Thanks Planet Fitness for waiting for me to get finished with workday!

This gym is a joke. They dont have olympic barbells or squat racks, so you should just look elsewhere if youre planning to lift seriously. On the plus side, the dumbbells are well organized, but there are only so many exercises you can do with just dumbbells. They have only one cable machine thats ALWAYS in use, only one EZ bar thats almost always in use, and 3 smith machines that are almost always in use. The thing that ticked me off the most is that you cant make a sound while youre lifting, and you cant drop the weights when youre done; you have to place them down. One out of every three people working there is a jerk. They have plenty of cardio machines for those looking to "get toned." Also, they have tanning beds, because theyre sooo healthy to use and dont cause premature skin aging or an increased risk of skin cancer. They give free pizza once a week and have a bowl of grape flavored candy, which are both sooo nutritiously sound. 2/5 stars for having neat dumbbells.

Its a pretty standard place, plenty of machines and a decent variety. Its got a water fountain with cold water, lots of TVs, good employees and just a nice setup overall. Only complaints are that the locker rooms smell strange, not BO but more like water damage or mold. Also machines break down pretty often and take a while to be fixed. And the temperature is pretty high, like 72-75, so your probably gonna sweat alot. And the roof leaks when it rains or snows. So it definitely has some problems but nothing thats gonna ruin your time here. Its got pretty much everything you could want and has a nice atmosphere and layout. Also, dont forget how cheap the cost is($10 per month), especially when compared to other gyms out there. I would recommend it despite its faults.

I was surprised that they didnt offer a bathroom most days but rather an out door portable potty. Traveling I have been to so many and this is the only time I had a bad experience. They only let you use the wifi if the right people are working that day yet they broadcast the planet fitness wifi and advertise they offer wifi when signing people up. Its right on the wall saying the password on a big poster. Most of them are rude stating were I originally signed up as if thats a reason to provide poor service or an attitude. Those poor elderly people that work out there. I feel bad for them. I am sure they will change for the better. As for now though, it is poorly managed.

It is a perfect example of you get what you pay for. It is fine for the price. It could be cleaner. It could be better managed (the manager is not customer service orientated in my dealings with him). It could have more extras. But for $10 a month, it works.

Good gym, very clean. But they close so early on the weekends! Open 24 hours during the week but when people can actually go late, theyre closed. How does that make any sense?

Practically no equipment. Do yourself a massive favor. Pay an extra $10 a month and drive down the road to Retro Fitness. You will have a much better experience.
