Larry is old school. He hates when people are not doing the right thing. Larry and I have gotten into it many times because I didnt put a weight back the correct way. Its his gym and he wants everything run correctly. Any gym owner does. I love Larry. He sold me a 2 machines - 2 elliptical trainers that he was getting rid of. He sold me both of them for $500 dollars and both of are still in great shape. The gym is the best free weight gym around... not even a question about it. This is an old school gym where people actually work out and dont worry about fruit smoothies.

World Gym is a place I used to belong I put my membership on hold as they said I could, as we were having a baby. Once the smoke cleared a few months later and we decided to start working out again the Owner Larry told us we didnt have a membership anymore. He offered a free month with another year membership. Bad business! He is a coomplete idiot. I wouldnt go back there if it was free as the machines were out dated, half the elypticals didnt work.

Most poorly run gym and worst owner in the history of Fitness Facilities. The place is a dying monopoly (only gym in the area) which is the only reason the doors are still open. The owner "Larry" is rude, just plain bad at customer service and clearly doesnt know how to deal with people or likely just doesnt care. Ive seen him argue with 10+ year members over $10. Based on principles alone, Ive vowed to never visit this gym again under same management.

I love World Gym Paramus. I was a member, but I joined the Marines. Im currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, but whenever I visit home they let me work out for free. The staff is friendly; they have every piece of equipment you could possibly need; and their freshly blended protein shakes are awesome. I will absolutely rejoin when I move back home to NJ.

One of the best gyms in the area. It isnt fancy with brand new gym equipment, but it has the perfect atmosphere for those who really want to get strength training in. The only downside I would say is there is a limit amount of treadmills and it doesnt have kettle bells. I still recommend this gym for someone looking to get a good workout and not break the bank

This is a real gym plain and simple. You dont rack ur weights you pay the consiquence. You slam weights obnioxiously than you shouldnt be lifting it. This is what fitness is all about. Joe Gold created Golds and World gym both of which revolutionized the fitness industry into what it is today. WORLD GYM IS HANDS DOWN THE ABSOLUTE BEST!

Great gym very clean staff is wonderful owners great been a member for 10 years feels like a real gym always get the best workouts there if youre into fitness and you want to get big this is it I work in the city so I have another membership but it isnt the same my best workouts are here at World Gym

Oldie but goodie. Lots of serious fitness people. Old Equipment but they work very well. Never over crowded. Staff are very pleasant. On-site boxing lessons and sparing in semi-official ring. Reasonable hours of operation. Very clean and well maintained.

Not happy with the owner at all. Dont join. All they care about is the money. Dont sign the contract its a trap off period.

Lot of free weights and space. And lot of treadmills. The only downside is that they close at 10PM.
