Its okay. Not great. They have plenty of cardio equipment, but not a lot of floor space to work out. The free weight area can be a bit crowded. Another area would be beneficial. Their hours are convenient. However, the place is really dirty. The same "spots" (to be polite) are on the machines week after week. The dust on the light fixtures is about a 1/2 inch thick. The supply and return ducts of the AC system are disgusting. I guess you get what you pay for. Ive been to other Retros in better condition, but this one is gross.

Visiting for the week and the staff was not understanding at ALL about how I already pay $45 a month for the VIP membership and had me pay $35 for the WEEK to "upgrade" to have childcare. There was nothing at all they could do for me, I even offered to pay $20 for the week, but no. Nothing they could do unless their internet is down then its no problem just letting it go

Yes it did take forever for the Retro Fitness to open in Manasquan but it is open now and awesome. Huge layout, state of the art equipment, clean, did I mention clean! Theres more than enough equipment to satisfy the need of both the casual and hard core gym member. I have been to a lot of gyms and this one rates near the top for what a membership costs.

Besides the douchy buff Italian guy that works there accusing me of stealing its a good gym. Beware of the fact that they lock you in to there contract for years at a time. There is no way to terminate your contract with. Good price though

I have been to several Retro Fitness locations, Wall, Matawan, East Brunswick they are all the same....... Dirty. Matawan in particular is just plain ole Filthy. Do yourself a favor join a different gym. You will be much happier.

This is an awesome, awesome gym, with EVERYTHING. It is spacious, clean, never crowded, great layout, and one of the best gyms Ive ever been to. This is in my top 3 Retro Gyms along with Jackson and West Long Branch.

Very very weak ab area. A lot of tool bags flock here with their water jugs, backwards hats, and self-cut -t-shirts. On the bright side, they have a ton of cardio equipment and a solid free weight area.

I can understand why some people would be mad they had to wait so long but I go there now 5 days a week and its a great facility. Has everything, pretty big and very clean.

It is consistently 80-82 degrees inside this place. It makes working out unbearable. I would recommend joining someplace else.
